Obamacare "Navigators" are ACORN Revisited"

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa warned Monday on Fox News that there are no checks in place for Obamacare navigators, the individuals tasked with helping Americans sign up for health insurance. They don’t have to follow any of the rules that every state in the country has for insurance people, he said. In other words, navigators are not bonded, finger printed, or identified in any way that would help prevent felons or identity theft perpetrators from having access to consumers’ personal information.

“This is basically just another form of community organizing paid for with your tax dollars,” Issa said. “ACORN revisited, if you will.”

“What they’re really hired to do is to convince people to get Medicaid under this new program, convince them to get a highly subsidized health care plan,” Issa continued. “They’re not there to sell the merits of the insurance, they’re there to sell the subsidy.”

“This is the federal government at work using federal dollars,” Rep. Pete Sessions added. “I believe that on the very surface of it, it is fraud at its very finest.”

Meanwhile, Press Secretary Jay Carney is criticizing Republican scrutiny of these navigators as talking points meant to sabotage President Obama’s health care law.

But Kathleen Sebelius has admitted that it’s possible convicted felons could be hired as navigators, a number of ex-ACORN operatives are now signing people upfor Obamacare, and navigators have been documented as counseling applicants to lie about their income on forms to qualify for a larger subsidy.

Clearly, the scrutiny is more than justified.

Really!!! Is any sane person outside the Pinocchio Party surprised by this, the culture of corruption in full view, and we all get the privilege of paying for it.

Of course this is ACORN revisited. Unless and until the Republicans use their power, dirty tricks, or the courts to halt the funding of this cr@p, the Dems are going to keep sending money down these rat holes. Grow a pair, Republicans.

Thanks again Mr. Issa (and other republicans) for pointing out the obvious, but now what are you all going to do about it.

The repubs response to the systematic destruction of our country reminds me of the knock on the UN in the cartoon movie T. America. They're going to write a note, and then if the dems don't fix it they're going to write a nastier note.

Where's the substantive response to the illegal activity of this administration? When will we see real heroes step up? Vote for real heroes in 2014!

Obama has turned the whole Federal government into a subsidiary of ACORN.

Obama knows what he is doing and that is to wreck America. For some reason he has got too much of a hold on to the House and Senate. Are these people afraid of Obama. It's just like they think Obama may be another Hitler.

Repackaging Obama's cronies should not surprise us because Mr. Obama has repackaged himself and his 'promises' so many times I am reminded of the old TV show called "To Tell The Truth". Of course, in that show, at least one person was REQUIRED to tell the truth all the time. With this Administration, I wonder what would happen when it is time to say "Will the REAL Obama please stand up".
After all, we knew practically nothing about the man that so many people felt was trustworthy enough to put in the White House and give him a cadre legislators whose leanings were certainly far left and largely self-serving for their own power.

Maybe next time, if there is one, We, the People will pay more attention and remember WHY we had a Constitution and Bill of Rights that the Founders hoped would provide LIMITED power of government.

That is the problem, OldTimer. I'm an old timer, too, but I realize we have gone past the tipping point of having more than half the voting population now voting to NOT end their free schit.

These navigators are the physical manifestation of social justice. Wait until you have to beg them for some procedure for you loved ones.
Do we have to give our personal information to non-vetted government workers using non-secure procedures? I know the answer is yes but being forced to compromise our personal information is the basis for another law suit?

Well, of course. Most of us thinking folks knew this before it ever became a headline or an article. This is typical for the community-organized-in-chief.

Obamacare is a myth. Sign up. Pay your premium. Discover you are covered for nothing. A lot of people are finding this out. I happen to be an SEIU member, though not by choice. I received something in the mail yesterday urging me to sign up for Obamacare. They said they worked hard to get it passed and we should take advantage of it. According to them, I'm eligible for either low cost or free healthcare under Obamacare. Free? Nothing is free. Someone will have to pay for it, even if I don't. A couple of months ago, SEIU informed us that our company was raising the rates on our healthcare plan and they would do what they could to lower the rates back down to what they were. BS! The won't do anything. They want us to sign up for Obamacare. If I can help it, I won't go near it. I've had a couple of offers from other plans that I haven't yet taken a look at. I want to avoid Obamacare and I suggest everyone else do the same.

We've known for a good while that the 'navigators' were just members of various Democrat activist groups. Use of these groups has been the plan all along, intending to sign people up for government funded subsidies, whether they qualify or not.

This is the Cloward and Piven strategy in action, it was always the plan. The massive increase in SNAP benefit recipients, the expansion of every government assistance program and now the Obamacare law, together they will easily achieve the goals of the Cloward and Piven plan, bankrupting the federal government and creating an opportunity to institute a new system of governance...one that gives even broader, more intrusive powers and direct control of the entire economy, full blown central planning.

This will allow the pols in DC to finally have a very direct and absolute power over who succeeds and who fails...the vast majority will wish they had what the least of us now has.

EXACTLY what the founding fathers of this country wanted to avoid with creating our Constitution.
Why are Americans taking this laying down while the country is being destroyed?
Go check the graves of our founding fathers, I'm sure there's no more dirt on them from all the spinning.
This was all planned by the Chicago thugs according to Michelle Malkin's book Culture of Corruption I'm presently reading.
Question is how can we stop this now with the Rats in control in the Senate likely blocking impeachment of this new Chicago mob.

One would thank that 'presidential' policies and programs would benefit the entire country. Isn't that what world class leaders do, paint on a world canvas? Improve the US to the point it makes the world a better place to live? Why is Obama worried about a small percentage of the US population do little things? His ideas aren't presidential. They are tribal and limited, aimed at his special interests, that's why he and his programs are failing.
