IS OBAMA GIVING OUR SECRETS TO THE RUSSIANS USING FEMA? Posted: 01 Jul 2013 07:33 PM PDT There is no doubt in my mind that President Barack Hussein Obama is unlike any other American president. He appears to place himself above the fray, responding to each scandalous disclosure perpetrated by his fellow travelers on his watch with a standard statement that he is as shocked as everybody else and will call for an investigation leading to steps to prevent the adverse situation from occurring in the future. Unfortunately for Americans, the man is a stone cold liar as evidenced by his continued assertions that Benghazi affair was a spontaneous protect against a little seen video, followed by a seemingly never-ending FBI investigation that allegedly ignored pertinent witnesses. In addition, he has courted our enemies and disrespected our allies and friends. Much like another democrat, former President Jimmy Carter, who supported the overthrow of a U.S. friend, the Shah of Iran, in favor of the Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, thus leading to Iran’s state terrorism and Islamo-Fascism, President Obama has supported the overthrow of Bashir Assad in favor of a group of al Qaeda rebels who also support terrorism on a grand scale. So why should I be surprised when the Obama Administration, allegedly on the outs with Russia, may be handing them state secrets in the form of interoperability standards and exposing all of the special weapons and tactics at our disposal? Not that the Russians do not have similar weapons and tactics, but they do not necessarily have access to our operational frequencies and the opportunity to steal other secrets. What do we gain from this type of exchange with an enemy who is currently aiding and abetting Edward Snowden,  a potential NSA spy with classified materials in his possession?  Will Russians be observing and engaging in the handling of emergencies and disasters on American soil? Several documents signed during joint work of Russian Emergency Ministry and FEMA  The Russian Emergency Situations Ministry and the USA Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) are going toexchange experts during joint rescue operations in major disasters. This is provided by a protocol of the fourth meeting of the U.S.-Russia Bilateral Presidential Commission Working Group on Emergency Situations and seventeenth meeting of Joint U.S.-Russia Cooperation Committee on Emergency Situations, which took place in Washington on 25 June. The document provides for expert cooperation in disaster response operations and to study the latest practices. In addition, the parties approved of U.S.-Russian cooperation in this field in 2013-2014, which envisages exchange of experience including in monitoring and forecasting emergency situations, training of rescuers, development of mine-rescuing and provision of security at mass events. At the end of the meeting the parties expressed their satisfaction with the level of cooperation between the Russian Federation and the United States in the area of emergency prevention and response and agreed to develop it in order to respond efficiently to all kinds of disasters. Why are we placing all of our surveillance and tactics on the table, especially since Russia is openly involved with those who we are currently imposing? Perhaps this would be a great idea if we had a President who could be trusted to protect American interests, a Congress who performed their sworn duties to protect America and Americans from foreign invasion, and a judiciary that did not allow our enemies to use our own laws against us – by creating specious legal loopholes and strategies out of whole cloth. I do not trust President Obama and his fellow travelers in Congress, Cabinet, and Administration. In and of itself, that appears to be just another democrat cover-up of potential criminal activity. Bottom line … It’s not about Hillary Clinton’s looks, it’s her ugly rotten corrupt democrat core that’s the real problem. No more Hillary Clinton, Jeb Bush, or any other re-treads. An for those looking for an “historic” election, how about one that returns America to a strong nation with a vibrant economy. Do Traditional Marriage Supporters Deserve to Be Treated with Dignity? 07/02/2013 By Jim DeMint Some people can’t seem to understand why anyone would support marriage as the union of a man and a woman. Indeed, Justice Anthony Kennedy argued last week that the only reason Congress had for passing the Defense of Marriage Act was to “disparage,” “injure,” “degrade,” “demean,” and “humiliate” others. Justice Kennedy says we’re denying dignity to people in same-sex relationships. But it is his ruling that denies dignity to those who don’t think a same-sex relationship is a marriage. His ruling denies dignity to the millions of Americans and their elected officials who have voted to pass laws that tell the truth about marriage. The rhetoric from the Court attacking the goodwill of the majority of Americans—who know marriage is the union of a man and a woman—is not helpful. The marriage debate will continue, and all Americans need to be civil and respectful. Already, however, we have seen that those in favor of redefining marriage are willing to use the coercive force of law to marginalize and penalize those who hold the historic view of marriage—even if it means trampling First Amendment religious liberty protections along the way. This is already evident in Massachusetts, Illinois, and Washington, D.C., whereChristian adoption agencies have been forced to stop providing adoption and foster care services. Legal challenges have been brought against wedding-related service providers who believe that marriage should be between a man and a woman, after they declined to participate in ceremonies that would have violated their consciences. A photographer in New Mexico, a florist in Washington, and a baker in Colorado have already been victims of such intolerant coercion. Our interest in marriage policy from the beginning has been to ensure that a man and woman commit to each other as husband and wife to be father and mother to any children they create. This gives children the best chance at a flourishing future. When children have that, liberals are less likely to succeed in their efforts to grow the welfare state. It is impossible for the government to redefine marriage to make fathers optional and for society to insist at the same time that fathers are essential. In its ruling last week, the Supreme Court refused to wrestle with any of the serious scholarly arguments that support marriage policy as the union of a man and a woman, and instead declared that Congress acted solely out of ill will. It is outrageous to suggest that 342 Members of the House, 85 Senators, and President Bill Clinton were all acting on the basis of anti-gay bias in 1996, when the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) was enacted. As Chief Justice Roberts says in his dissent, “I would not tar the political branches with bigotry.” Indeed, as Heritage has argued repeatedly, there are valid reasons to oppose the redefinition of marriage—which those House Members, Senators, and President Clinton took into account. Marriage matters for children, civil society, and limited government, because children deserve a mother and a father, and when this doesn’t happen, social costs run high. Citizens and their elected representatives have the constitutional authority to make policy that recognizes marriage as the union of a man and a woman. States will lead the way even as we work to restore clear marriage policy at the federal level. And in the states, support for marriage as the union of a man and a woman remains strong. He then did the same for the CIA and the NSA…because he thought those institutions were noble. This seems to be flatly untrue.
