Islamic Terror Victims Islam Radical Killings
The Forever War Against Radical Islam
Pat Buchanan
Patrick J .Buchanan
USA –  -(Ammoland.com)-  On May 22 2017, Salman Abedi, 22, waiting at the entrance of the Arianna Grande pop concert in Manchester, blew himself up, killing almost two dozen people, among them parents waiting to pick up their children.
Saturday, three Islamic terrorists committed “suicide-by-cop,” using a van to run down pedestrians on London Bridge, and then slashing and stabbing patrons of pubs and diners in the nearby Borough Market.
By all accounts, the killers bore no special grudge against those they murdered. They appear not even to have known their victims.

Why, then, did they kill these strangers, and themselves?

A BBC eyewitness suggests a motive: “They shouted, ‘This is for Allah', as they stabbed indiscriminately.”
The murderers were Muslims. The rationale for their crimes lies in the belief that their bloody deeds would inscribe them in a book of martyrs, and Allah would reward them with instant ascension into the paradise that awaits all good Muslims.
Ideas have consequences. And where might these crazed killers have gotten an idea like that?
Is there a strain of Islam, the basis of which can be found in the Quran, that would justify what the murderers did at London Bridge?
On Palm Sunday, an explosion in Tanta, 56 miles north of Cairo, killed 29 and injured 71 Copts as they prayed at the Mar Girgis church. A second blast at a church in Alexandria killed 18 and wounded 35.
On May 26, masked gunmen stopped two buses carrying Coptic Christians to Saint Samuel the Confessor Monastery in Egypt, and opened fire, killing 26 and wounding 25.
“I call on Egyptians to unite in the face of this brutal terrorism,” said Ahmed el-Tayeb, the grand imam of al-Azhar, Egypt's 1,000-year-old center of Islamic learning.
Yet, years of such atrocities have effected a near-complete cleansing of Christianity from its cradle provinces in the Holy Land.

If these persecutors and killers of Christians are apostates to Islam, headed to hell for their savageries, why have not all the imams of the world, Shiite and Sunni, risen together to condemn them as heretics?

Clearly, from the suicide bombings and shootings of civilians in the Middle East, now across the West, there is a belief among some Muslims that what the killers are doing is moral and meritorious — taking the martyr's path to salvation.
When have the imams of Saudi Arabia, the Middle East, and West ever stood as one to condemn all such acts as against the tenets of Islam?
In condemning the London Bridge attack, Prime Minister Theresa May said that recent atrocities across England were “bound together by the single evil ideology of Islamist extremism.”
Correct. There is an extremist school of Islam that needs to be purged from the West, even as this school of fanatics is seeking to purge Christianity from the East.
  • We are at war. And the imams of Islam need to answer the question: “Whose side are you on?”
  • Are honor killings of girls and women caught in adultery justified? Are lashings and executions of Christian converts justified?
  • Do people who hold such beliefs really belong in the United States or in the West during this long war with Islamist extremism?
Other questions need answering as well.
Is our commitment to diversity broad enough to embrace people with Islamist beliefs? Is our First Amendment freedom of speech and of religion extensive enough to cover the sermons of imams who use mosques to preach in favor of expelling Christians from the Middle East and an eventual takeover of the West for an Islam where Sharia replaces constitutional law?
Are such Islamist beliefs not intolerable and perilous for our republic?
Clearly, the West is in a civilizational struggle, with the outcome in some doubt.
Four years after Pearl Harbor, the Japanese empire had ceased to exist. Japan was smoldering ruins, its navy at the bottom of the Pacific. An American proconsul, Douglas MacArthur, was dictating to the Japanese from the Dai-Ichi building.
Today we are in the 16th year of a war begun on 9/11. We are mired down in Libya, Syria, Iraq and Yemen. Our victory in Afghanistan is being reversed by the Taliban.
While the ISIS caliphate is being eradicated in Raqqa and Mosul, its elements are in two dozen countries of the Mideast. Muslim migrants and refugees, ISIS and al-Qaida among them, are moving into Europe.
Terrorist attacks in the West grow in number and lethality every year. The new normal. Now, second-generation Muslims within Europe seem to be converting to a violent version of Islam.
To fight them, we are being forced to circumscribe our sovereignty and empower police and intelligence agencies of which free men were once taught to be wary.
Wars, it is said, are the death of republics. And we now seem to be caught up in an endless war.

A New Tolerance for Anti-Semitism

by Alan M. Dershowitz  •  June 6, 2017 at 3:00 pm
  • Although there has been hard-right anti-Semitism for decades, the bigotry of the hard-left is far more prevalent and influential on many university campuses. Those on the left, who support left-wing anti-Semites try to downplay, ignore or deny that those they support are really anti-Semites. "They are anti-Zionist" is the excuse du jour. Those on the right do essentially the same: "they are nationalists." Neither side would accept such transparent and hollow justifications if the shoe were on the other foot.
  • Linda Sarsour supports Islamic religious law, Sharia. If taken literally, this would presumably mean that she also supports punishing homosexuality by death; amputation for theft; death by stoning for "adultery" (which can include being raped); women being valued at half the worth of a man, being flogged for drinking alcohol, and above all, slavery.
  • The growing tolerance for anti-Semitism by both the extreme left and right is quickly becoming mainstream. That is why it is so dangerous and must be exposed for what it is: complicity in, and encouragement of, the oldest form of bigotry. People on both sides of the aisle must have the same zero tolerance for anti-Semitism as they do for sexism, racism and homophobia.

All over the world anti-Semites are becoming mainstreamed. It is no longer disqualifying to be outed as a Jew hater. This is especially so if the anti-Semite uses the cover of rabid hatred for the nation-state of the Jewish people. These bigots succeed in becoming accepted -- even praised -- not because of their anti-Semitism, but despite it. Increasingly, they are given a pass on their Jew-hatred because those who support them admire or share other aspects of what they represent. This implicit tolerance of anti-Semitism -- as long as it comes from someone whose other views are acceptable -- represents a dangerous new trend from both the right and left.

Germany: Surge in Stabbings and Knife Crimes

by Soeren Kern  •  June 6, 2017 at 5:00 am
  • Not only are knife-related crimes surging, but the perpetrators and victims of such crimes are increasingly younger and increasingly female.
  • Germany's knife-crime problem is being exacerbated by its lenient judicial system, in which offenders receive relatively light sentences, even for serious crimes. In many instances, individuals who are arrested for knife-related crimes are released after questioning from police. This practice allows criminal suspects to continue committing crimes with virtual impunity.
  • More than 1,600 knife-related crimes were reported in Germany during just the first five months of 2017 — an average of 300 such crimes each month, or ten a day.

A Syrian migrant was stabbed to death in northern Germany by another Syrian because he was eating ice cream during Ramadan. The murder — which occurred in broad daylight in a busy pedestrian shopping area in Oldenburg and caused great consternation among local citizens — is not just the latest example of Sharia law being enforced on German streets. The crime also highlighted the growing epidemic of knife violence in Germany.
Knives, axes and machetes have become weapons of choice for criminals in Germany, which has some of the strictest gun laws in Europe. Knives are not only being used to carry out jihadist attacks, but increasingly to commit homicides, robberies, home invasions, sexual assaults, honor killings and many other kinds of violent crime.

Finland: Now We Want a Mega-Mosque

by Judith Bergman  •  June 6, 2017 at 4:30 am
  • The mosque boasts that it has been "able to organize many activities". One of these, it says, "is to spread Islam to the non-Muslims in Finland".
  • Now Muslims in Finland want a mega-mosque. The idea that mega-mosques "prevent radicalization" is clearly popular among proponents of Finnish mega mosques, but on what evidence is this view based? Can they name one country where this was actually the case?
  • Finland would be wise to look at what the establishment of Saudi and Gulf state-funded mosques in the rest of Europe has already done to the continent in terms of Islamization and radicalization.

Helsinki, Finland (Image source: Mikko Paananen/Wikimedia Commons)
In recent years, Muslims in Finland have been complaining about not having an official mosque. This is not entirely true; the Finnish Tartars have an official mosque with a minaret -- in Träskända -- which other Muslims are free to use. There are also around 80 small mosques in Finland, around 30 of them in converted buildings or private flats in Helsinki, although many of them are referred to as "prayer rooms". One such mosque is the Masjid Iman mosque, located in Helsinki on the Munkkiniemen street. According to its website, the 214-square-meter mosque, which calls itself "The Islamic Multicultural Dawah Center", was established in 1999 and is "one of the well-known mosques in the Helsinki area". As is increasingly taking place, the mosque, according to the website, was formerly a church. The mosque boasts that it has been "able to organize many activities". One of these, it says, "is to spread Islam to the non-Muslims in Finland".

Saudi Arabia's Global Center for Combating Extremist Ideology
An Exercise in Futility?

by A. Z. Mohamed  •  June 6, 2017 at 4:00 am
  • The GCCEI needs to examine, among other things, the way in which its patron, Saudi Arabia, has participated in, if not spearheaded, the very extremism that it is claiming now to combat: the connection between Wahhabism and terrorism; the hostility of its regime to democracy; the abuse of human rights; and the suppression of moderate interpretations of Islam.
  • When Trump stated that fighting extremism and terrorism "transcends every other consideration," he was, in effect, giving them unwritten permission to continue repressing their citizens and whatever else they wished.
  • The GCCEI will be managed by a board of 12 directors appointed every five years, and the number of directors from each member state will be based on that country's financial contribution to the center. In other words, the center will be ruled by -- and further the interests of -- wealthy absolute monarchies.

(Official White House Photo by Shealah Craighead)
During his trip to Saudi Arabia, Israel and Europe in May, U.S. President Donald Trump inaugurated the Global Center for Combating Extremist Ideology (GCCEI) in Riyadh -- an endeavor that its appointed secretary-general, Nasir Al-Biqami of Umm al-Qura University in Mecca, described as the "fruit of collaboration between Muslim countries that believe in the importance of combating terrorism."
However admirable a goal from the point of view of the West, this initiative has little chance of success, given the repressive regimes involved and the extremist worldview of the individuals who will be funded to promote it.
As Elliott Abrams, senior fellow for Middle Eastern studies at the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) and top adviser to former U.S. President George W. Bush, wrote:

You could have heard a pin drop.....HAVE A Blessed Day,

Once upon a time when our politicians did not tend to apologize for our country's prior actions, here's a refresher on how some of our former patriots handled negative comments about our great country.
These are good

JFK'S
Secretary of State, Dean Rusk, was in France in the early 60's when
De Gaulle decided to pull out of NATO.
De Gaulle said he wanted all US military out of
France as soon as possible.

Rusk responded,
"Does that include those who are buried here?"

De Gaulle
did not respond.
You could have heard a pin drop.

When in England , at a fairly large conference,
Colin Powell was asked by the Archbishop of Canterbury
if our plans for Iraq were just an example of
'empire building' by George Bush.

He answered by saying,
"Over the years, the United States has sent many of
its fine young men and women into great peril to fight for
freedom beyond our borders.
The only amount of land we have ever asked for in return
is enough to bury those that did not return."
You could have heard a pin drop.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~
There was a conference in France
where a number of international engineers were taking part,
including French and American.
During a break, one of the French engineers came back into
the room saying,
"Have you heard the latest dumb stunt Bush has done?
He has sent an aircraft carrier to Indonesia
to help the tsunami victims.
What does he intend to do, bomb them?"
A Boeing engineer stood up and replied quietly:
"Our carriers have three hospitals on board
that can treat several hundred people;
they are nuclear powered and can supply
emergency electrical power to shore facilities;
they have three cafeterias with
the capacity to feed 3,000 people three meals a day,
they can produce several thousand gallons of
fresh water from sea water each day,
and they carry half a dozen helicopters for
use in transporting victims and injured to and from their flight deck.
We have eleven such ships;
how many does France have?"
You could have heard a pin drop.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

A U.S. Navy Admiral
was attending a naval conference
that included Admirals from the
U.S., English, Canadian, Australian and French Navies
At a cocktail reception, he found himself standing with
a large group of officers that included personnel from most of those countries.
Everyone was chatting away in English as they sipped their drinks,
but a French admiral suddenly complained that,
whereas Europeans learn many languages,
Americans learn only English.
He then asked,
"Why is it that we always have to speak English in these conferences
rather than speaking French?"

Without hesitating, the American Admiral replied,
"Maybe it's because the Brit's, Canadians, Aussie's and Americans
arranged it so you wouldn't have to speak German."
You could have heard a pin drop.

AND
THIS STORY FITS RIGHT IN WITH THE ABOVE...

Robert Whiting, an elderly gentleman of 83,
arrived in Paris by plane.  At French Customs,
he took a few minutes to locate his passport in
his carry on.

"You have been to France before, monsieur?"
the customs officer asked sarcastically.

Mr. Whiting admitted that he had been to France
previously.  "Then you should know enough
to have your passport ready."

The American said, "The last time I was here,
I didn't have to show it." "Impossible..
Americans always have to show their passports on
arrival in France !"

The American senior gave the Frenchman a long hard look.
Then, he quietly explained,
''Well, when I came ashore at Omaha Beach on,
D-Day in 1944 to help liberate this country,
I couldn't find a single Frenchman
to show a passport to."

You could have heard a pin drop.

If you are proud to be an American, pass this on!
If not, delete it.
I am proud to be of this land -- AMERICA
I am proud to be an American

HAVE A GOOD AND BLESSED DAY     GOD Bless America

Paris Accord: Tempest in a Teapot...!

The fury of the storm from President Trump's decision to withdraw America from the "non-binding, unenforceable" Paris Climate Accord is all show and no go. You can easily ascertain this by trying to find substance in the vocal opposition.

Over and over and over since Trump announced America's withdrawal, opponents have referred to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's reports as their basis for opposing Trump's decision.

It is like they have one talking point and are able to push that alone. But consider for a moment the ramifications of hysterical tree-hugger agendas and reality.

Forty-five years ago, when I first met environmental indoctrination head-on in the classroom, the proponents of this Mother Earth first agenda were claiming "within 35 years the coastal cities will have to be abandoned because of rising sea levels due to melting ice caps." Uh-uh, didn't happen. MAD magazine ran a series of cartoon depictions of how the evolving pollution levels would alter human appearance as our biological system was forced to adapt just to survive. Uh-uh, didn't happen.

I found myself on the wrong side in the class debates and the philosophy brought to the classroom by the instructors. Guess where my grade-point average went because I refused to become a robot spitting out their faulty science to test questions.

But the past 24 hours has shown this one-sided debate up for the idiocy it has become. Long-time readers of the Rant will remember the one question I asked twice of the NOAA in the past six years.

The first was the result of the NOAA study that found acidic levels in the oceans had reached their highest point in 800,000 years and that modern man and his lifestyle were to blame. The simple question that study conclusion evoked in me was "Where was the human activity then that caused the oceanic acidic level to be so high 800,000 years ago?" To me it was logical that if man and his activity was the cause now it must have also been the case 800,000 years ago. Not surprisingly, NOAA bureaucrats have not answered that question.

The next time I wrote to the NOAA was when they claimed the carbon dioxide level had reached the highest point in 2 million years and, as you might have guessed, this too was due to man's activity on this planet. Same question altered to fit the new study results was submitted.

Now the first study consumed almost 18 months and more than $25 million of taxpayer funds to complete. The second study consumed more than 21 months and took nearly $100 million from the federal budget. (It should be noted the dollar assignments are for man-hours worked on the project, new equipment and direct expenses for travel and do not include expenses for items already on hand like boats, airplanes or measuring equipment.)

But for $125 million you do think the bureaucrats would have had the intestinal fortitude to actually answer two simple questions. No, you and I are supposed to blindly trust this money was spent for a worthwhile cause and therefore no expense is too great if they can prove man can affect this planet's climate enough to affect the way it operates.

The Paris Climate Accord was preceded by the Kyoto Treaty. What is ludicrous is neither of these plots would have gotten off the ground without American taxpayer-supplied support under the table. No other country had the fiscal resources to blindly hand over the kind of financial grease necessary to get the engine running. It should be known Bill Clinton was President when the Kyoto Treaty was reached (even though the U.S. did not officially join) and Barack Obama's Administration helped fashion the Paris Climate Accord--though he was smart enough not to make it a binding treaty so the merits of the Accord were never really discussed publicly.

Now supporters of the environment--mostly because it gives them a recurring, annual working budget and political power commensurate with how wide-spread this rot has become--are all over Trump for removing this yoke from America's financial health. But they can find no better argument than to refer to the numerous studies put out by the NOAA, the organization that hasn't found the time or the chutzpah to actually answer two legitimate questions.

Could it be that the tree-huggers who are in charge have conveniently altered fact(s) that does not support their longed-for study results? Could it be the researchers ignored fact(s) that would cast a doubt on their research? Either reason is grounds for ignoring questions.

I will concede the Earth's climate and its living species are changing. But I demand that those in charge show me how man is the culprit when we can verify that this planet's climate underwent massive changes and various species also diminished long before man began releasing carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. CO2 IS a naturally-occurring substance. Man did not invent it. He may produce more of it than would otherwise be there but something besides man's activity caused CO2 levels to be higher 800,000 years ago, something besides man caused the ocean acidic levels to be higher 2 million years ago.

I'd simply like to have someone doing the studies explain how and why. Until and unless the bureaucrats can explain that phenomenon their attempt to place all the blame on man is a ruse to insure their continued financial backing from government.

Donald Trump had the business sense to call them on it in a way they cannot handle, so the blithering idiots take to the media outlets and spew their venom at someone in charge who has the audacity to call them on their 'fake' science.

The backlash coming Trump's way also clearly demonstrates why President Barack Obama found it easier to 'lead from behind.' When you are not out front, nobody is behind you to put knives in the back.  It is exactly this business attitude Trump brought to the campaign, it is this business attitude that captured the attention and support from so many American voters and it is this business attitude towards every other political leader that sets Trump--and therefore America--apart as a leader.

He, we, are not afraid to go it alone; to tackle the global brutes whether it is 1776 or 2017. Maybe that is what has everyone else upset: Trump's willingness to go against the stream of public perception instead of blindly accepting that the norms of this world are much bigger than the combined efforts of mankind can affect. He cast this chain of tyranny off the back of the American people.
"I have sworn on the altar of God eternal hostility to every form of tyranny over the mind of man."--Thomas Jefferson
