I've never thought of it this way before.

A man and his dog were walking along a road.
The man was enjoying the scenery,

When it suddenly occurred to him that he was dead.

He remembered dying and that the dog walking

Beside him had been dead for years.

He wondered where the road was leading them.

After a while, they came to a high, white stone

Wall along one side of the road.

It looked like fine marble.

At the top of a long hill, it was broken by a tall arch

That glowed in the sunlight.

When he was standing before it, he saw a magnificent

Gate in the arch that looked like mother-of-pearl and

The street that led to the gate looked like pure gold.

He and the dog walked toward the gate, and as he got

Closer, he saw a man at a desk to one side.



When he was close enough, he called out,

“Excuse me, where are we?” 

“This is Heaven, sir,” the man answered.

”Wow! Would you happen to have some water?”

The man asked.

”Of course, sir. Come right in, and I'll have

Some ice water brought right up.”

The man gestured, and the gate began to open.

“Can my friend,” gesturing toward his dog,

“come in, too?” the traveler asked.

”I'm sorry, sir, but we don't accept pets.”

The man thought a moment and then turned

Back toward the road and continued the way

He had been going with his dog.

After another long walk, and at the top of another

Long hill, he came to a dirt road leading through a

Farm gate that looked as if it had never been closed. 

There was no fence.

As he approached the gate, he saw a man inside,

Leaning against a tree and reading a book.

”Excuse me!” he called to the man.

“Do you have any water?”

”Yeah, sure, there's a pump over there,

Come on in.”

”How about my friend here?” the traveler

Gestured to the dog.

”There should be a bowl by the pump,” said the man.

They went through the gate, and sure enough, there

Was an old-fashioned hand pump with a bowl beside it.

The traveler filled the water bowl and took a long

Drink himself, then he gave some to the dog.

When they were full, he and the dog walked back

Toward the man who was standing by the tree.

”What do you call this place?” the traveler asked. 

“This is Heaven,” he answered.

”Well, that's confusing,” the traveler said.

”The man down the road said that was Heaven, too.'”
”Oh, you mean the place with the gold street and pearly

Gates? Nope. That's Hell.”

”Doesn't it make you mad for them to use your name like that?”

”No, we're just happy that they screen out the folks who would

Leave their best friends behind.”

So-o-o-o. Now you see, sometimes, we wonder why friends

Keep forwarding stuff to us without writing a word.

Maybe this will explain it.

When you are very busy, but still want to keep in touch,

Guess what you do?  You forward emails!

When you have nothing to say, but still want to keep contact,

You forward jokes!

When you have something to say, but don't know what,

And don't know how . . . . You forward stuff!

A 'forward' lets you know that . . .

. . . You are still remembered,

. . . You are still important,

. . . You are still loved,

. . . You are still cared for.

So, next time if you get a 'forward',

Don't think that you've been sent just another forwarded joke,

But that you've been thought of today

And your friend on the other end of your computer

Wanted to send you a smile.

I have no idea about Charles’ politics, for he has been both optimistic and pessimistic about Trump – as he was about Obama. It would take a fool not to have seen what Obama was desperately trying to do to the United States, and, in my opinion, he was almost fully successful. Just take a look around today at the lawlessness in our country and the higher up politicos such as Eric Holder, Loretta Lynch, Hillary and Bill Clinton that have committed crimes and seem to be untouchable. Our nation is in divided uproar and, it seems, that no one wants to call it out or do anything about it. I would suppose that the time to have done anything about it was when Obama was still in office) I would advise anyone NOT to even look at Snopes for verification of the information given below, as George Soros founded Snopes, and probably still calls all the shots there. New York Post: I do not understand how living in a country with its democracy established over 200 years ago, and now, for the first time in history, suddenly we have one of our former presidents set up a group called "Organizing for Action" (OFA). OFA is 30,000+ strong and working to disrupt everything that our current president’s administration is trying to do. This organization goes against our Democracy, and it is an operation that will destroy our way of governing. It goes against our Constitution, our laws, and the processes established over 200 years ago. If it is allowed to proceed then we will be living in chaos very much like third world countries are run. What good is it to have an established government if it is not going to be respected and allowed to follow our laws? If you had an army some 30,000 strong and a court system stacked over the decades with judges who would allow you to break the laws, how much damage could you do to a country? We are about to find out in America! Our ex-president said he was going to stay involved through community organizing and speak out on the issues and that appears to be one post-administration promise he intends to keep. He has moved many of his administration's top dogs over to Organizing for Action. OFA is behind the strategic and tactical implementation of the resistance to the Trump Administration that we are seeing across America, and politically active courts are providing the leverage for this revolution. OFA is dedicated to organizing communities for "progressive" change. Its issues are gun control, socialist healthcare, abortion, sexual equality, climate change, and of course, immigration reform. OFA members were propped up by the ex-president's message from the shadows: "Organizing is the building block of everything great we have accomplished Organizers around the country are fighting for change in their communities and OFA is one of the groups on the front lines. Commit to this work in 2017 and beyond." OFA's website says it obtained its "digital" assets from the ex-president's re-election effort and that he inspired the movement. In short, it is the shadow government organization aimed at resisting and tearing down the Constitutional Republic we know as AMERICA. Paul Sperry, writing for the New York Post, says, “The OFA will fight President Donald Trump at every turn of his presidency and the ex-president will command them from a bunker less than two miles from the White House." Sperry writes that, “The ex-president is setting up a shadow government to sabotage the Trump administration through a network of non-profits led by OFA, which is growing its war chest (more than $40 million) and has some 250 offices nationwide. The OFA IRS filings, according to Sperry, indicate that the OFA has 32,525 (and growing) volunteers nationwide. The ex-president and his wife will oversee the operation from their home/ office in Washington DC. Think about how this works.. For example: Trump issues an immigration executive order; the OFA signals for protests and statements from pro-immigrant groups; the ACLU lawyers file lawsuits in jurisdictions where activist judges obstruct the laws; volunteers are called to protest at airports and Congressional town hall meetings; the leftist media springs to action in support of these activities; the twitter sphere lights up with social media; and violence follows. All of this happens from the ex-president's signal that he is heartened by the protests. If Barack Obama did not do enough to destroy this country in the 8 years he was in office, it appears his future plans are to destroy the foundation on which this country has operated on for the last 241 years. If this does not scare you, then we are in worse trouble than you know. So, do your part. You have read it, so at least pass this on so others will know what we are up against. The direction this country was headed should strike fear in the heart of every Christian. How refreshing and beautiful our First Lady Melania Trump was in Melbourne, Florida on February 18, 2017. Instead of the normal "pumping up" of the crowd, Melania chose to start the rally off with the Lord's Prayer. It sounded more like the start of a football game after the National Anthem rather than what we would expect to hear after a prayer. Make a "joyful noise unto the LORD thy GOD!" The "sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity" of Madeline Murray O'Hair and ACLU efforts in 1962, "School Prayer was removed from the U.S. Public education system by slowly changing the meaning of the First Amendment through a number of court cases over several court cases should be confronted and reversed..
