Santa Barbara Beach..

The first picture and the last picture are taken at the beach in Santa Barbara right next to the Pier. There is a veterans group that started putting a cross and candle for every death in Iraq and Afghanistan.The amazing thing is that they only do it on the weekends.

They put up this graveyard and take it down every weekend. Guys sleep in the sand next to it and keep watch over it at night so nobody messes with it. Every cross has the name, rank and D.O.B. and D.O.D. on it.Very moving, very powerful. So many young volunteers. So many 30 to 40 year olds as well.

Amazing!

The ACLU has filed a suit to have all military cross-shaped headstones removed.



And that they filed another suit to end prayer from the military completely. They're making great progress.

The Navy Chaplains can no longer mention Jesus' name in prayer thanks to the ACLU and our new administration.

Make the Democrats Own the Obama Economy , Ann Coulter

One bright spot of Barack Obama's re-election was knowing that unemployment rates were about to soar for the precise groups that voted for him -- young people, unskilled workers and single women with degrees in gender studies. But now the Democrats are sullying my silver lining by forcing Republicans to block an utterly pointless tax-raising scheme in order to blame the coming economic Armageddon on them.

Democrats are proposing to reinstate the Bush tax cuts for everyone ... except "the rich." (Why do only tax cuts come with an expiration date? Why not tax increases? Why not Obamacare? How about New York City's "temporary" rent control measures intended for veterans returning from World War II?)

Raising taxes only on the top 2 percent of income earners will do nothing to reduce the deficit. There's not enough money there -- even assuming, contrary to all known history, that the top 2 percent won't find ways to reduce their taxable income or that the imaginary increased government revenue would be applied to deficit reduction, anyway.

Apart from Obamacare, it's difficult to think of a more effective method of destroying jobs than raising taxes on "the rich." This isn't a wealth tax on useless gigolos like John Kerry -- it's an income tax on people who are currently engaged in some profitable enterprise. Their business profits, which could have been used to hire more employees, will instead be used to pay the government.

But Republicans are over a barrel. Unless Republicans and Democrats reach an agreement, the Bush tax cuts expire at the end of the year. By pushing to extend the tax cuts for everyone except "the rich," Democrats get to look like champions of middle class tax cuts and Republicans can be portrayed as caring only about the rich.

And when the economy tanks, the Non-Fox Media will blame Republicans.

The economy will tank because, as you will recall, Obama is still president. Government rules, regulations, restrictions, forms and inspections are about to drown the productive sector. Obamacare is descending on job creators like a fly swatter on a gnat. Obama has already managed to produce the only "recovery" that is worse than the preceding recession since the Great Depression. And he says, "You ain't seen nothing yet."

The coming economic collapse is written in the stars, but if Republicans "obstruct" the Democrats by blocking tax hikes on top income earners, they're going to take 100 percent of the blame for the Obama economy.

He Called Her First!

Just after midnight on election night, Barack Obama picked up the phone and called Hillary Clinton.

He asked her to do one thing . . .

. . . renew his administration’s war on the Second Amendment rights of Americans.

Less than 12 hours later, Clinton signed on to new negotiations to pass the UN Gun Ban.

On that same day, the Mexican delegation at the UN “called for an international, legally binding and solid treaty that would establish regulations for the conventional arms trade, including in small arms and light weapons . . .”

To make matters worse, Mexico is also leading a growing contingent at the UN hell-bent on ramming through the UN Gun Ban even if there is significant opposition.

So it should come as no surprise that gun owners are in for the fight of our lives when bureaucrats from across the globe meet in New York to pass the UN Gun Ban March 18-28, 2013.

But even before the UN meets again in March, the threat to our gun rights is alive and well -- RIGHT NOW -- during the lame duck session of Congress.

That's why I'm asking ALL of NAGR's 1.4-million members and supporters to stand ready to fight any attempt at restricting our gun rights not only at the UN but also during the next few weeks.

As you may remember, NAGR's grassroots army led the charge that stalled the "Small Arms Treaty" Conference this past summer.



Many gun owners thought the battle was over having heard the “inside-the-beltway” institutional gun lobby declare victory.

But my staff here at NAGR knew their victory celebration was premature, and we continued to recruit, mobilize and inform gun owners nationwide about the dangers facing their gun rights.

And less than five weeks later, petty tyrants at the UN rammed the UN Gun Ban through the Programme Against Small Arms meeting.

These new "International Small Arms Control Standards" are a nightmare of third-world gun control demands . . .

. . . and the anti-gun crowd at the UN is crowing that this is exactly what they need to finally pass the "Small Arms Treaty."

A quick review of the UN Programme's new Small Arms Control Standards is enough to make my skin crawl.

This is nothing less than full-bore registration, confiscation and destruction:

*** Begin "marking small arms and light weapons and keeping accurate and easily retrievable records of them;"

*** Create "an appropriate weapons collection or registration strategy;"

*** Identify "groups holding small arms and/or light weapons and their age/gender profiles, the types and number of weapons held;"

*** Determine "capacity for destruction, including required improvements to equipment and procedures."

Worse, as we've seen in the past, the Programme Against Small Arms can be directly implemented via Executive Order -- without a single vote in Congress.

As more and more details leak out about what the UN is planning, the scarier this fight becomes.

The stakes are clear -- our gun rights are on the line.
