This gentleman is obviously smarter than the senators he sent it to

All I can say is amen to everything he said. An articulate letter sent to the two U.S. Senators from WashingtonState.

Senator Patty Murray
Senator Maria Cantwell
Washington , DC , 205

Dear Senator:
I have tried to live by the rules my entire life. My father was a Command Sergeant Major , U.S. Army, who died of combat related stresses shortly after his retirement. It was he who instilled in me those virtues he felt important - honesty, duty, patriotism and obeying the laws of God and of our various governments. I have served my country, paid my taxes, worked hard, volunteered and donated my fair share of money, time and artifacts.
Today, as I approach my 79th birthday, I am heart-broken when I look at my country and my government. I shall only point out a very few things abysmally wrong which you can multiply by a thousand fold. I have calculated that all the money I have paid in income taxes my entire life cannot even keep the Senate barbershop open for one year! Only Heaven and a few tight-lipped actuarial types know what the Senate dining room costs the taxpayers. So please, enjoy your haircuts and meals on us.
Last year, the president spent an estimated 1.4 $billion on himself and his family. The vice president spends millions on hotels. They have had 8 vacations so far this year! And our House of Representatives and Senate have become America's answer to the Saudi royal family. You have become the "perfumed princes and princesses" of our country.
In the middle of the night, you voted in the Affordable Health Care Act, A.k.a. "Obama Care," a bill which no more than a handful of senators or representatives read more than several paragraphs, crammed it down our throats, and then promptly exempted yourselves from it substituting your own taxpayer-subsidized golden health care insurance.
You live exceedingly well, eat and drink as well as the "one percenters," consistently vote yourselves perks and pay raises while making 3.5 times the average U.S. individual income, and give up nothing while you (as well as the president and veep) ask us to sacrifice due to sequestration (for which, of course, you plan to blame the Republicans, anyway).
You understand very well the only two rules you need to know - (1) How to get elected, and (2) How to get re-elected. And you do this with the aid of an eagerly willing and partisan press, speeches permeated with a certain economy of truth, and by buying the votes of the greedy, the ill-informed and under-educated citizens (and non-citizens, too, many of whom do vote ) who are looking for a handout rather than a job. Your so-called "safety net" has become a hammock for the lazy. And, what is it now, about 49 or 50 million on food stamps - pretty much all Democrat voters - and the program is absolutely rife with fraud with absolutely no congressional oversight?
I would offer that you are not entirely to blame. What changed you is the seductive environment of power in which you have immersed yourselves. It is the nature of both houses of Congress which requires you to subordinate your virtue in order to get anything done until you have achieved a leadership role. To paraphrase President Reagan, it appears that the second oldest profession (politics), bears a remarkably strong resemblance to the oldest.
As the hirsute first Baron John Emerich Edward Dalberg Acton (1834 - 1902), English historian and moralist, so aptly and accurately stated, "Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men are almost always bad men." I'm only guessing that this applies to the female sex as well. Tell me, is there a more corrupt entity in this country than Congress?
While we middle class people continue to struggle, our government becomes less and less transparent, more and more bureaucratic, and ever so much more dictatorial, using Czars and Secretaries to tell us (just to mention a very few) what kind of light bulbs we must purchase, how much soda or hamburgers we can eat, what cars we can drive, gasoline to use, and what health care we must buy. Countless thousands of pages of regulations strangle our businesses costing the consumer more and more every day.
As I face my final year, or so, with cancer, my president and my government tell me "You'll just have to take a pill," while you, Senator, your colleagues, the president, and other exulted government officials and their families will get the best possible health care on our tax dollars until you are called home by your Creator while also enjoying a retirement beyond my wildest dreams, which of course, you voted for yourselves and we pay for.
The chances of you reading this letter are practically zero as your staff will not pass it on, but with a little luck, a form letter response might be generated by them with an auto signature applied, hoping we will believe that you, our senator or representative, has heard us and actually cares. This letter will, however, go on line where many others will have the chance to read one person's opinion, rightly or wrongly, about this government, its administration and its senators and representatives.
I only hope that occasionally you might quietly thank the taxpayer for all the generous entitlements which you have voted yourselves, for which, by law, we must pay, unless, of course, it just goes on the $17 trillion national debt for which your children and ours, and your grandchildren and ours, ad infinitum, must eventually try to pick up the tab.
My final thoughts are that it must take a person who has either lost his or her soul, or conscience, or both, to seek re-election and continue to destroy this country I deeply love and put it so far in debt that we will never pay it off while your lot improves by the minute, because of your power. For you, Senator, will never stand up to the rascals in your House who constantly deceive the American people. And that, my dear Senator, is how power has corrupted you and the entire Congress. The only answer to clean up this cesspool is term limits. This, of course, will kill the goose that lays your golden eggs. And woe be to him (or her) who would dare to bring it up.

Sincerely,
Bill

Serious New Questions on Obama Labor Nominee

07/18/2013

By Hans von Spakovsky

A surprising development on Wednesday has raised new questions about President Obama's nominee to be the new Labor Secretary.

Assistant Attorney General Thomas Perez is one of the nominees over whom Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) just staged his filibuster fight. As a result of the deal Reid worked out with Republican Senators, Perez was supposed to get a confirmation vote today. He cleared a procedural vote in the Senate yesterday as six Republicans broke ranks to vote him through.

Perez has faced questions about his misleading congressional testimony about his involvement in a quid pro quo deal with the city of St. Paul, Minnesota, that resulted in the dismissal of a Supreme Court case and taxpayers giving up a claim worth almost $200 million. He has refused to turn over private emails that he used to conduct Justice Department business and has refused to testify before the House despite a congressional subpoena. But apparently, that's not all.

Now, David Weber, a lawyer representing current and former employees of the Civil Rights Division, which Perez oversaw, has sent out a press release accusing Perez of "substantial misconduct." The employees, who are claiming whistleblower status, met with the staffs of Republican and Democratic Senators and turned over evidence of "disparate impact discrimination under the leadership of Mr. Perez." This is significant because "disparate impact" is Perez's favored legal theory—he has used it to pursue numerous businesses and other defendants in federal discrimination lawsuits.

The whistleblowers claim that Perez and his senior staff "began a widespread campaign" of discriminatory treatment against disabled employees as well as other employees "based on race; gender; age; and/or parental status." The employees who opposed this discrimination were "subjected to an exceptionally hostile work environment and unlawful retaliation." The whistleblowers include African-American, Hispanic, and female employees.

What is most startling in the allegations is the reason given for the discrimination: "the Perez actions were directed at preserving the positions of political appointees who have 'burrowed' into [the] Civil Rights Division through Perez's patronage."

"Burrowing in" is the term used in Washington to describe political appointees who have been placed in protected, career-bureaucrat, civil service positions—so they cannot be fired when an administration is over and the President leaves office, as happens to all other political appointees. Apparently, the fiscal constraints placed on his division through the budget crisis led to Perez directing his staff to "constructively terminate career staff in order to protect the political appointees from a Reduction in Force."

The press release also says that there are 10 other DOJ civil rights officials who "have come forward as witnesses and provided corroborating information supporting these allegations."

Attorney David Weber minces no words in saying that while Perez "has been nominated to be the protector of the American workforce," his clients have told Congress that Perez "rampantly discriminates against its own workforce, and retaliates against those brave enough to raise their hand."

The claims made by these whistleblowers against Perez and his senior management are extremely serious. Weber asks that Congress investigate and "hold Mr. Perez' nomination pending investigation." He also asks Attorney General Eric Holder to "take immediate steps to curtail the discrimination and retaliation."

Holder has been saying a great deal in the last week about the Justice Department's investigation of George Zimmerman for possible civil rights violations. It sounds like he needs to redirect that investigation into his own Civil Rights Division.

If the Senate now goes ahead with a vote on Perez's confirmation beforeit has investigated these shocking claims, it will have ignored its "advise and consent" role that requires it to review in-depth the qualifications—and character—of senior executive branch officers.

Hans A. von Spakovsky is a former counsel to the Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights.

Stupid, race-baiting Jesse Jackson: Trayvon Denied Jury of 'His Peers' -- Does the dummy know that Trayvon wasnt on trial?

Posted: 17 Jul 2013 02:27 PM PDT

You sometimes wonder about who the black community chooses as its leaders …

How corrupt is Jesse Jackson?

Jesse Jackson: Trayvon Denied Jury of His Peers -- Jesse Jackson on MSNBC Sunday morning:

JESSE JACKSON: Frankly, I am stunned over this disgrace, this tremendous miscarriage of justice. When the jury says not guilty: he's at least guilty of murder. An armed man, racially pursuing and profiling a young African-American boy, and kills him. And in this case, the prosecutor denied, should I say ignored the matter of race, and the defense denied this. But the fact of the matter is this is a pattern of behavior toward young African-American men, whether it is Grant in Oakland, or Diallo in New York or Trayvon Martin in Florida, and it's very painful.

Who the hell is this black race-baiting, community agitator to claim that Zimmerman is guilty of murder, when a jury found him innocent. There was no racial profiling and there is no such thing as racially pursing. In fact, racial profiling is only prohibited when done by law enforcement officials acting under the color of authority. There is no such restriction on civilians.Even worse, Jackson conflates the Zimmerman case with others that were not even similar in nature. Here is a man, Jackson, arguing a non-existent crime in a non-existent case.

How stupid is Jesse Jackson?

MSNBC: Reverend, I want to ask you about the make-up of the jury. You tweeted this after the verdict was handed down, you tweeted: "The jury, no black and no men, was always suspect." Do you feel this affected the outcome: the make-up of the jury?

JACKSON: “Well, it was a stretch, trying to avoid the obvious. There was no–you speak of  jury of your peers: there was no man on the jury—Trayvon was a black boy—there was no man, no black on the jury. So at least the idea of jury of your peers was a stretch all the while.”<Source>

Say What?

A defendant is guaranteed a jury of his peers – not the victim! But, then again, the race-baiting Jackson wants to throw dirt against the wall and see what sticks.

Bottom line …

Trayvon Martin was a gangsta wannabe thug – probably guilty of residential burglar or receiving stolen property according to the internal affairs investigation of the Miami-Dade School Police. Has he killed Martin, he was certain to be tried as an adult.

Jesse Jackson is a fool, a corrupt fool who has profited off racial discord in America for decades. Perhaps he should take care of his own sick son, the one who ripped off his constituents for big money and now faces jail time for trying to buy Rod Blagojevich's appointment to fill Barack Obama’s Senate seat? In any event, Jackson should STFU and the mainstream media should not give this race-hustler a forum.

RACISM EXAMINED: ARE BLACKS PRE-DISPOSED TO MENTAL ILLNESS BY THE POLITICAL CLIMATE?

Posted: 16 Jul 2013 06:44 PM PDT

The nation is currently struggling through the aftermath from the trial of George Zimmerman, portrayed by the progressives as a racist who targeted an innocent black youth and willfully shot him to death. A narrative driven mostly by race-hustlers like Al Sharpton to promote his personal, political, and profitable agenda and a corrupt mainstream media with an audience to attract.

So, one might ask, why are so many blacks outraged over the killing of Trayvon Martin than they are of the four black youngsters who died in Chicago during the duration of the Zimmerman trial? Although the evidence presented painted a picture of Trayvon as a wannabe gangsta who was hardly the innocent teen portrayed, what of these young, innocent victims?

According to the Chicago Sun Time’s “Homicide Watch Chicago” ...

On June 28five-year-old Sterling Sims was killed in a double murder that also claimed the life of his mother, 31-year-old Chavonne Brown. Both were shot in their apartment, and police believe the motive was robbery.

On July 116-year-old Antonio Fenner was gunned down on the sidewalk next to the body of a 32-year-old man who had gang ties. No arrests were made, and no suspects have been named. Fenner’s mother believes her son was in the wrong place at the wrong time, because no one in her family knew the other victim or what Fenner’s association was to him.

On July 314-year-old Damani Henard was murdered outside a high school. His body was found next to a bicycle.

On July 915-year-old Ed Cooper was shot and killed while spending time with friends at the park. A gunman got out of a black van and began firing as the boys ran away. Cooper was shot in the street and continued running to a vacant lot where he died.

Vicarious trauma -- secondary traumatic stress disorder?

Are black individuals suffering from a mental illness similar to post traumatic stress disorder, producing symptoms of increased stress and a tolerance of violence or proclivity for violent behavior, because of the continual political interference in their lives by politicians who tell them that they come from an historically disadvantaged groups and are worthy of the affirmative action and reparations which they never seem to realize? What is the total effect on the self-esteem of individuals who are constantly being told and taught that they suffer from cultural disadvantages and that it is perfectly acceptable to engage in sub-par behaviors or performance?

But, more importantly, what is the cumulative affect on children living in a world of political correctness; knowing they can be shot dead at any moment of their innocent young lives – just for walking down a street. In the case of 16-year-old Antonio Fenner, 14-year-old Damani Henard, and 15-year-old Ed Cooper, this was literally true. There is no evidence that they were doing anything other than living their lives. Talk about stressful. Talk about learning that violence is a normal facet of everyday life.

But, then comes the race-hustlers like Al Sharpton, who promote the false picture that an innocent youth was gunned down by a malicious white man for no reason. Never mentioning that the white man was actually an Hispanic, that the victim was engaging in a suspicious behavior by walking slowly between homes on a dark and rainy night, and that the victim may have provoked the tragic physical confrontation that cost him his life. But beyond Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman, what is the affect of 24/7 coverage of this politically-motivated meme on the youth of America? Coverage that would have not happened if George was called Jorge, and Sharpton didn’t see an opportunity to self-promote his brand of racism.

Bottom line …

I am not a psychologist, but I am smart enough to know that anyone who is given the impression that they are not as good as others and require special treatment is bound to have self-esteem issues. Issues that may cause individuals to take refuge in a non-productive culture of strange names, strange dress, unconventional language, and the belief that they are disadvantaged and owed a debt by society. Issues that may cause individuals to assume that violence, crime, poverty, poor education, are the norm for their “community.” Something that is exploited by politicians who promise change, but do little more than talk endlessly about individual disadvantages in society. Never demanding that these individuals improve their behavior and performance above the norm. Striving for excellence.

And, unfortunately, the disadvantage meme appears to be self-inflicted as their peers denigrate superior performance as being part of the “white man’s world.” As if they are separate and apart from society. Increasingly isolated from traditional America where individualism and achievement is the norm – or should I say, was the norm. These are people caught in a downward spiral of despair and dysfunction as they are increasingly exploited for political advantage by their peers and so-called leaders.

It is time to sanction the race-baiters like Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, and others who promote victimhood and destroy any possibility for a healthy society. It’s time to remove the racists in Congress like the Congressional Black Caucus and people who see everything through the prism of race like Maxine Waters.

In fact, it is time to point out that the democrat party is associated with historical and toxic socialism, racism, and the exploitation of victims than any other political party.

But, in the final analysis, it is up to you to take action.

THE IMPORTANT QUESTION NOBODY IN THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA IS ASKING? WHO IS ORGANIZING THE PROTESTS

Posted: 17 Jul 2013 12:58 AM PDT

Once again the mainstream media is shirking their duties to report faithfully and accurately … this time a sin of omission, not identifying the groups driving the Trayvon Martin protests. Especially in light of the evidence presented and other evidence produced from Trayvon Martin’s social media accounts.

By all accounts, Trayvon Martin was a wannabe gangsta’ thug and George Zimmerman was a peaceful, helpful neighbor watching out for his neighborhood. So who is behind those post decision rallies crying for “social justice?” And, even more importantly, what is their true agenda?  Questions apparently asked only in the blogosphere where all memes are given consideration and discussed, without the mainstream media fear of a subject “being bad for business.”

Here is Alan Caruba’s take …

The question I do not hear anyone in the media asking or answering is “Who is organizing the protests” that we’ve seen in cities around the nation? Who got all those people to show up in the same place at the same time? One of the groups is the Freedom Socialist Party and another is theInternational Action Center that describes itself as “anti-capitalist” and “anti-imperialist.” It is just one of many whose “community organizers” are quite adept at this and which, like the President, are acolytes of Saul Alinski, the Communist who dedicated his book, “Rules for Radicals”, to Lucifer.  <Source: Alan Caruba’s Warning Signs © 2013 Alan Caruba>

mx

Is that a picture of radical black activist/racist/socialist Malcolm X on that protester’s shirt? Racism? The prosecutors in the Zimmerman trial opened their case by saying that this case was not about race. So who is manufacturing these particular meme – while four innocent black children died, unnoticed by the mainstream media, in Chicago during the duration of the Zimmerman trial? Proving, its not about crime, race or justice – it’s about disrupting the system to benefit international socialism.

Community organizers, union activities, social justice, black liberation theology, class warfare, and denigrating, demeaning, and dishonestly ignoring the facts – what do these all have in common? The answer is simple: they are all associated with international socialism/communism and the fomenting of the necessary civil discord to bring about a revolutionary change in a duly constituted government.

Bottom line …

There is little or no doubt in my mind that the reason President Barack Obama, his fellow travelers, the Congressional Black Caucus, and race-hustlers like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, are ignoring the facts of the case and spinning an alternate story is because the made a fundamental error in judgement. They created a “racism” case based on George Zimmerman’s name and appearance – never once considering that he was a minority, an Hispanic. To this end, the race-baiters as well as the Associated Press invented a new descriptive term, the “White Hispanic” and pejoratively reported that George Zimmerman was a self-proclaimed Hispanic. Right, just like Barack Obama is a self-proclaimed African-American.

The same people who would claim that a conservative who happens to be black is an unauthentic black man, an Oreo or an Uncle Tom, also found that so-called manufactured outrage also provided them with a pass to distort the facts.

We are under attack by our enemies, both foreign and domestic. With the international socialists attempting to tear apart our nation. Look beyond the end of your nose and observe who is organizing the rallies, printing the signs, and bussing in the crowd.  If you didn’t realize it previously, you may wish to open your eyes. And, when you do, you will find is is the usual suspects: the socialists, the communists, the anarchists – and even the Syrian Muslims – all who do not wish America and her citizens well.

Very Interesting & Important Statistics...!

Thought you would find this interesting to put it mildly!

There are actually two messages here.  The first is very
interesting, but the second is absolutely astounding - and explains a lot.

A recent "Investor's Business Daily" article provided very
interesting statistics from a survey by the United Nations International
Health Organization.

Percentage of men and women who survived a cancer five years
after diagnosis:

            U.S.                     65%

            England               46%

            Canada                42%

Percentage of patients diagnosed with diabetes who received
treatment within six months:

            U.S.                      93%

            England               15%

            Canada                43%

Percentage of seniors needing hip replacement who received it
within six months:

            U.S.                      90%

            England               15%

            Canada                43%

Percentage referred to a medical specialist who see one within
one month:

            U.S.                      77%

            England               40%

            Canada                43%

Number of MRI scanners (a prime diagnostic tool) per million
people:

            U.S.                      71

            England              14

            Canada               18

Percentage of seniors (65+), with low income, who say they are
in "excellent health":

            U.S.                     12%

            England                2%

            Canada                6%

And now for the last statistic:

           National Health Insurance?

            U.S.                      NO

            England             YES

            Canada              YES

Check this last set of statistics!!

The percentage of each past president's cabinet who had worked
in the private business sector prior to their appointment to the cabinet.
You know what the private business sector is; a real-life business, not a
government job.  Here are the percentages.

           T. Roosevelt.................... 38%

           Taft................................ 40%

            Wilson ........................... 52%

           Harding........................... 49%

           Coolidge......................... 48%

           Hoover............................ 42%

           F. Roosevelt..................... 50%

           Truman........................... 50%

           Eisenhower................ .... 57%

           Kennedy......................... 30%

           Johnson.......................... 47%

           Nixon.............................. 53%

           Ford................................ 42%

           Carter............................. 32%

           Reagan............................ 56%

           GH Bush.......................... 51%

            Clinton .......................... 39%

           GW Bush........................ 55%

           Obama............................. 8%

This helps to explain the incompetence of this administration:
only 8% of them have ever worked in private business!

That's right!  Only eight percent---the least, by far, of the
last 19 presidents!  And these people are trying to tell our big
corporations how to run their business?

How can the president of a major nation and society, the one
with the most successful economic system in world history, stand and talk
about business when he's never worked for one?  Or about jobs when he has
never really had one?  And when it's the same for 92% of his senior staff
and closest advisers?  They've spent most of their time in academia,
government and/or non-profit jobs or as "community organizers."

They should have been in an employment line.

Pass this on because we'll NEVER see these facts in the main
stream media.
