Fonzie (Henry Winkler) Calls for Gun Control on Twitter DURING Navy Shooting

Posted: 16 Sep 2013 11:20 AM PDT

We expected that the Navy shooting would unfortunately be politicized by those who would seek to restrict gun ownership among law abiding citizens very quickly, however Henry Winkler (Fonzie) really jumped the shark on this one. Winkler issued a tweet at 9:50am calling for more gun control in response to the incident. Given the fact […]

Obama: Because We Backed Down on Syria Doesn’t Mean We Won’t Strike Iran...

by Tim Brown

Barack Obama joined ABC's This Week to discuss the possible use of force against Iran, following an apparent backing down from launching military strikes on Syria, even though the CIA has been arming the rebels. The interview was taped on Friday before the United States and Russia agreed on a plan to bring Syrian chemical […]

Welcome to the MEMO:
It has been a busy week.

First we had President Obama give a national speech trying to convince the country why we need to go into Syria, only to be out maneuvered by Vladamir Putin into agreeing on Chemical Weapons Inspections. The idea of inspections came from an off the cuff remark by John Kerry, and of course the MSM went along with the idea that his was Obama's plan all along.

On the same night, 2 anti-2ND Amendment Politicians in the Colorado legislature recalled. And the explanation was that their voters were confused or else voter intimidation had occurred.

We also had the 12Th Anniversary of 9/11

The debate over De-Funding Obamacare has been quiet for a bit, but it has heated up again.

Two Colorado Lawmakers Ousted in Recall Vote Over Gun Law

by  on September 11, 2013

Two Colorado State Lawmakers have been recalled because of their instrumental roles in getting new strict gun-control legislation passed in Colorado. The two recalled Colorado State Senate members include the President of the Senate, John Morse as well as State Senator Angela Giron.

Two pieces of legislation signed into law by Democratic Governor John Hickenlooper which angered many Colorado voters enough to recall Morse and Giron were restrictions on ammunition magazines to hold no more than 15 bullets and required background checks for all firearm transactions which virtually outlawed all private sales or transfers of firearms.

Angela Giron displayed agonizing ignorance of firearms and magazines when during one interview she wrongly stated that rifle magazines could only be used once so by outlawing them the magazines would be eliminated as they were used up or words to that effect. Many were angered that someone with such gross ignorance regarding firearms should be allowed to initiate and vote on laws restricting the constitutionally protected unalienable right to keep and bear arms.

What Shoes Are You Wearing Today?

Look down at your shoes. Could you break into a run in those if you needed to?

Twelve years ago, the men and women getting ready to go to work at the World Trade Center and the Pentagon didn’t know they would be running that day.

For many New Yorkers, the shoes they picked up off the closet floor that morning would later carry them down flights of stairs and through the streets of the city. They would become worn, covered with dust, and perhaps broken in a matter of minutes.

Some would become pieces of history.

Wolverines! GOP Poised to Win Michigan Senate Seat

by  on September 12, 2013

Good morning folks,

Carl Levin’s Senate seat is turning red. You read that correctly.

Democrats have an expensive problem to solve in Michigan. Instead of Senator Carl Levin cruising to re-election, Democrats now face a very costly open-seat battle, with a very weak bench, in a state that consistently elects Republicans statewide in non-Presidential years.

The Detroit Free Press reports that a poll conducted by Carl Levin’s pollster – EPIC-MRA – reveals that the race is tied and that Lynn Land is both more recognized and more popular than Democrat Gary Peters.  Land holds a 28-10 fav/unfav, while 55% of Michiganders don’t know who Gary Peters is.  Further, Barack Obama’s job-approval ratings have dropped severely in Michigan, to a 39% positive rating and a 60% negative.

U.S. coal industry braces for EPA emissions crackdown

by  on September 13, 2013

(Reuters) – The Environmental Protection Agency is due to unveil next week the first batch of regulations under President Barack Obama’s new climate action plan – a carbon emissions-rate standard for new fossil fuel power plants.

If standards are as strict as the industry expects, it could be the death knell for new coal plant construction. The recent bankruptcy of Longview, a highly efficient West Virginia coal plant, is an example of the pressures already facing the industry.

When the Longview plant went into operation in 2011 – the first new coal plant to go online in West Virginia in 18 years – its owners wanted to show that there is a future role for coal in the U.S. energy mix.

A new way to abduct a female -- very scary

Have you seen this one?

Sunday afternoon around 5 PM, I headed into the Target. It was still light outside and I parked fairly close to the entrance. As I got out of my car and began walking towards Target, an older lady shouted to me from the passenger seat of a car about 30 feet away from me.

"Ma'am you must help me, help me please, help me Ma'am!" I looked at her in the eyes and started to walk towards her when I remembered an email my Mom had sent me a week or two ago about rapists and abductions using elderly people to lure women in.

I paused, memorized the license plate and immediately headed into Target to get a manager to come help this lady, just in case something was up. While the woman manager headed out there, I kept a close watch just because I was curious what was wrong with the lady and wanted to be sure nothing happened.

As the Target lady walked up towards the car and got very close to the old woman in order to help her, the back door of the car flies open and a large man with a stocking cap on, jumps out and sticks a gun to the lady's stomach as he shoves her into the back of the car.

I yelled out "call 911" several times and just as I was saying that, a policeman who happened to be on the other side of the parking lot and who, luckily had seen the entire thing happen, raced over to the car.

He was able to stop the car and arrest the male as well as the old lady, who was involved in the scheme. By God's grace everyone was all right, including myself, although I think we were both shaken up.

Like many of you, I would not in a million years have left an elderly person who was yelling for help if it weren't for the e-mail I had read last week. So, I wanted to pass this along so you all can be aware and remember that you really can't trust anyone these days.

You just never know when something like this could happen. I would have never dreamed it to happen to me especially on a Sunday afternoon at a Target in a safe area!

It definitely was not a coincidence that my Mom sent that email just a few days before this all happened. Please, be careful and always be aware of your surroundings.

Just because you individually don't go over to help someone doesn't mean you have to leave them in trouble, but don't go ALONE, you really don't know what might be going on.

This was checked with Snopes - this is true and they also use children to lure the victim!

Please pass on to all your girlfriends, wives, daughters, granddaughters, daughter's in law, etc.
Just to be on the safe side. Please be aware and
pass it on to anyone you think this will help.
