Food stamps glitch is a glimpse into pandemonium to come...

by Dr. Eowyn

Under the POS’s presidency, the number of Americans receiving food stamps (now called Electronic Benefits Transfer or EBT) exploded. Today, one in five U.S. households are on food stamps. Worse still, we are taking two steps back for every step forward: For every new job that’s been created, two new recipients (let’s call them food-stampers) are added to the […]

Obamacare: Lindsey Graham is exactly what is wrong with the GOP!

Posted: 15 Oct 2013 04:59 PM PDT

If there is anyone outside of Senator John McCain (R-AZ) who acts like a progressive socialist democrat, it is McCain’s best friend Lindsey Graham (R-SC). Graham mirrors all of John McCains opinions on amnesty for illegal aliens, onerous rules and regulations to support global warming, and worst of all, is willing to give a pass to the Obamination that is Obamacare. He sounds like a democrat every time he opens his mouth – which is with increasing greater frequency as the progressive mainstream media turn him into a useful idiot that appears to illustrate how “extreme” the GOP party conservatives are when they call for the defunding of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act that neither protects patients nor is affordable without government subsidies. A form of socialist wealth redistribution and ill-managed healthcare that is likely to degrade healthcare in the United States.

Misdirection …

Lindsey Graham: Shutdown Distracts From Bad Obamacare Rollout

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) lamented Sunday that the government shutdown was distracting from a problematic rollout of the health insurance exchanges under President Barack Obama's health care reform law.

"What breaks my heart is, for the last 12 days you have had a complete meltdown of the portal called Obamacare; the whole system is just not working," said Graham, speaking on ABC's "This Week." "And we're overshadowing how badly Obamacare has been rolled out."

Graham said that while he believes House and Senate Republicans "share a common goal of trying to replace and repeal Obamacare," it was unrealistic to block a measure meant to fund the federal government in an attempt to defund or delay the law. <Source>

A Lindsey Graham paradox? Give in, fund the Government and Obamacare, and move on? In essence, capitulate to the democrats and kick the can down the road. Don’t stand with the American people who do not want this abomination when it counts, wait a while and choose another battleground. Doesn’t make sense except to a progressive democrat socialist.

It appears that Lindsey Graham is exhorting his Congressional Colleagues to give in and simply fund the entire government and Obamacare. Mindful that the system is not working, not likely to work, and is destroying healthcare for thousands of Americans. Common sense will tell you that you cannot add millions of newly insured patients to the system without a corresponding increase in physicians, facilities, diagnostic equipment, support staff, and more time in the day. Let alone with a system with a shrinking number of healthcare providers.

It is already impacting doctors in Connecticut …

Thousands Of Connecticut Doctors Terminated By United Health Care

Just prior to the open enrollment of Obamacare, United Health Care informed thousands of doctors in Connecticut treating Medicare Advanced patients that they were terminated by the United Health Care system.  Primary and specialty care doctors received their pink slips telling them that they were no longer part of the Medicare Advanced system offered by United Health Care.

Ben Goldstein, a spokesman for United Health Care explained, saying:

"With the many changes happening in health care, we are building a network of health care providers that we can collaborate with more closely to have the most positive impact on the quality of care for our members. We are prepared to help our members transition to new providers. Members with questions are encouraged to call the customer service number on the back of their member ID card for more information."

“President Obama, Rep. Pelosi and HHS Secretary Sebelius have been telling the American people that they will be able to keep the same doctor as they have now.  However, thousands of Connecticut seniors are suddenly finding themselves in search of new doctors and clinics.  For many, this can be a very traumatic and frightening experience, especially in lieu of all of the changes involved with Obamacare.  Guess we can chalk this up to another Obamacare related lie.

When is the GOP going to stop aisle-hopping progressives like Lindsey Graham from diluting and distorting the GOP brand?

Keep your eyes open and decide for yourself whether Lindsey Graham is a progressive democrat or a legitimate GOP representative.

How Much Will Obamacare Coverage Cost?

10/16/2013

As many Americans are losing their current health plans, they may be striking out on their own into Obamacare’s health insurance exchanges. (Or at least they will be, if the website ever starts working.)

Thanks to a new study from Heritage, you can quickly get a sense of the Obamacare prices hitting your state’s individual insurance market.

Heritage analyst Drew Gonshorowski is a step ahead. He took all the available data released thus far from the states and federal government and calculated the average premium change (per month) from buying health insurance in the non-group market to buying in the Obamacare exchanges.

>>> See how your state fares here

Unsurprisingly, Obamacare brings increases across the board. The news is particularly bad for young people. In at least 11 states, the hike for a 27-year-old is more than 100 percent.

“Our findings confirm that younger populations see larger percentage increases in premiums,” Gonshorowski said. “A state that exhibits this clearly is Vermont, where the increase for 27-year-olds is 144 percent and the increase for 50-year-olds is still 60 percent, but far less. All states exhibit this relationship.”

Critics have noted that in a few states, premiums have actually gone down. Gonshorowski explains why they’re seeing this—and that it’s not the norm:

Individuals in most states will end up spending more on the exchanges. It is true that in some states, the experience could be the opposite. This is because those states had already over-regulated insurance markets that led to sharply higher premiums through adverse selection, as is the case of New York. Many states, however, double or nearly triple premiums for young adults. Arizona, Arkansas, Georgia, Kansas, and Vermont see some of the largest increases in premiums.

President Obama promised premiums would go down by $2,500. But Gonshorowski reports that “the claims of savings on premiums for the average participant is a fantasy.”

Americans "Ready To Kill" Over Obamacare...

Obamacare doesn't officially kick off until January 1st, yet millions of Americans are already at each other's throats over it.

Research from the U.S. Census Bureau shows that the country is now more divided than any other time in history since the Civil War era.

In fact, 20 states including Texas, Georgia and Louisiana have threatened to secede.

And despite a recent Supreme Court ruling making Obamacare the law of the land, only 24 states are moving forward with a key aspect of Obamacare- the expansion of Medicaid. Of the rest, 21 are opposed and five are deadlocked in debate.

So far, every single southern state from Texas to Virginia has refused to widen Medicaid, a key provision of the Obamacare program.

This will leave millions of Americans without coverage.

That's because they make too much money to qualify for Medicaid as it now stands, but not enough to get the subsidies to buy insurance in the new exchanges.

The South isn't alone in rejecting Obamacare. Liberal states such as Maine have opposed the bill.

Pennsylvania, Indiana, and Ohio have yet to move forward with the expansion.

Even legendary investor Warren Buffett, a one-time Obamacare supporter, said in 2010 he would scrap the healthcare bill and start over.

One of the main architects of the bill, Democratic Senator Max Baucus from Montana said Obamacare is heading for a "train wreck" if it's not implemented properly.

Obamacare Tax Hikes Stoke The Most Outrage

While even Obamacare detractors applaud the requirement that insurance companies cover pre-existing conditions and put a stop to lifetime caps on benefits, they say these laudable benefits don't compensate for the bill's high cost - especially in new taxes.

According to most experts, Obamacare will create no fewer than twenty new taxes or tax hikes on the American people.

In fact, the Obama administration has already given the IRS an extra $500 million to enforce the rules and regulations of Obamacare.

The new taxes don't bode well for millions of middle-class Americans. Incomes for the rich have soared this decade but middle class workers have seen their wages stagnate and even drop since the 2008 Great Recession.

Many fear Obamacare with its high insurance costs and new taxes, could provide the middle class a fatal blow.

With January 1 quickly approaching, millions of Americans are asking what they can do to prepare for all the new costs, rules and regulations.

One expert, Dr. Betsy McCaughey, a constitutional scholar with a Ph.D. from Columbia University, recently wrote a best-seller showing Americans how they can not only survive Obamacare, but prosper through it.

McCaughey claims to be one of the only people in the country - including members of Congress - who has actually read the entire 2,572 page law.

Her book, titled Beating Obamacare: Your Handbook for Surviving The New Health Care Law, breaks the huge bill down into 168 pages of actionable advice.

The book, written in an easy going, easy to read style, shows some startling facts about Obamacare not seen in the mainstream press.

For example, she points to a little known passage in the bill that shows how you could get slapped with a $2,000 fine for not having health insurance - even if you do actually have it.

She also goes into detail explaining how a third of all U.S. employers could stop offering health insurance to their workers.

In one chapter, she shows how ordinary Americans will get stuck paying for substance abuse coverage - even if they never touched a drink or drug in their life.

According to McCaughey's research, senior citizens will get hit the hardest.

Hip and knee replacements and cataract surgery will be especially hard to get from Medicare in the months ahead thanks to Obamacare, according to McCaughey.

She warns seniors to get those types of procedures done now before Obamacare goes into effect January 1.
