1. John Boehner is not the leader of the conservative House Republicans, he is the leader of the republicans, the majority of which are still Northeastern Liberal Cronyism Elites from the "tax and spend" Rockefeller wing of the party, including some RINOs who are more like progressive democrats than republicans. 2. Bipartisan has a strange meaning in Congress. If used by the victor in a challenge, it means at least one cross-party RINO voted with the democrats to give the radical progressives a clear path to international socialism and the destruction of America from within. 3. They did not fight the "good fight," they fought no fight -- simply remaining silent or obstinent is not fighting. And, of course they did not win -- they weren't supposed to -- or do anything which might screw up their 2014 election bids. Again, America was screwed by a fifth-column of corrupt politicians who are destroying America from within. Both Senate Majority Leader and progressive socialist democrat Harry Reid (D-NV) and Senate Minority Leader and moderate republican Mitch McConnell (R-KY) fear for their political lives and the lives of their party. Disgusted citizens, democrats, republicans, and independents can plainly see that our government is totally dysfunctional, corrupt, incompetent, and self-serving as they jockey endlessly for political position and the right to loot America’s treasury. While the voters gave us President Barack Obama, it was the progressive socialist democrats in the Congress, often acting as an anti-America fifth column in favor of the failed European model of international socialism, that gave us Dodd Frank and the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) – legislation so complex and convoluted that it was not read and understood by those who voted for it; and cannot be fully implemented without bringing pain to the American people. What purpose is served by kicking the can down the road?
There is absolutely no purpose served by kicking the can down the road except to satisfy some artificially imposed deadline that means little or nothing in reality as all parties, the democrats, republicans, and the Administration has work-arounds to preserve their favored programs and its funding. These fiscal deadlines are known well in advance and only the inaction of the party players turns them into dramatic apocalyptic confrontations that disrupt the lives of Americans, bring uncertainty to the financial markets, and in all cases, allow miscreants to profit from the pain from American citizens. Yes, I said profit … First, both the democrats and the republicans are engaging in an orgy of fundraising. Sending out breathless missives warning of dire consequences if the war-chest is not replenished by donations immediately.
Second, the Wall Street Wizards welcome instability in the government as it roils the market – creating both sellers and buyers as investors hedge their bets and these malevolent middlemen collect the commissions and fees for facilitating transaction. Not to mention collecting the significant interest on burgeoning debt. Third, the unionized government workers who are furloughed get additional vacation days and are most assuredly going to be rewarded by receiving retroactive pay for doing absolutely nothing. Yes, there is some pain involved by those who live paycheck-to-paycheck, but most financial institutions are in a forgiving mood while they collect their late fees, but fail to take precipitous action involving these employees. And fourth, both parties, once again, are given a pass for bad behavior and failing to do the job for which they were elected. Benefiting from a tremendous amount of face-time prior to the 2014 congressional election cycle. Who is the architect of this shut-down disaster? Again, we find the sticky fingerprints of radical progressive socialist democrats all over the shutdown, perhaps to exacerbate the failure of Obamacare in order to push America forward into a socialist one-payer system per the democrat dream of perpetual political power.
This is not the first time that the this unelected, unvetted, socialist puppet-master has been suspected of influencing significant government policy by manipulating Barack Obama. Bottom line … The American citizen is being royally screwed over by corrupt and incompetent professional politicians as they jockey for position preceding the 2014 congressional election cycle. There is little or no doubt in my mind that only conservative republicans can thwart the progressive socialist democrats and their march towards international socialism. We need to remove democrats from power – and if necessary – impeach Barack Obama for his unconstitutional and criminal acts while in office. -- steve |

ACORN branches all over the country disbanded in disgrace in 2010, but have come back under new names.A group formed from the ruins of ACORN is hard at work signing people up for ObamaCare, and may be collecting taxpayer cash for their work despite Congress’ efforts to cut the organization and its affiliates off from government funding, a watchdog group charged.
The United Labor Unions Council Local 100, a New Orleans-based nonprofit, announced last month it would take part in a multi-state “navigator” drive to help people enroll in President Obama’s health care plan. The labor council was established by ACORN founder Wade Rathke after his larger group was broken up amid scandal in 2009 and banned from receiving taxpayer funds.
“At a time when our government has ceased functioning due to an appropriations gap, it is ironic that America’s tax dollars are being doled out to an entity whose poor stewardship of our funds was well-established by Congress,” said Dan Epstein, executive director of Cause of Action, a nonpartisan watchdog group based in Washington.

The government has given out $67 million in Navigator grants to help with the controversial rollout of ObamaCare. It was not clear if Local 100 got a grant of its own, but it has set up a help center with Southern United Neighborhoods, a charity founded in March 2010 with many former ACORN members, to enroll people in ObamaCare. Southern United Neighborhoods received a Navigator grant of $486,123.
Rathke could not be reached for comment, but he recently blogged about attending a meeting where the group discussed and planned outreach efforts under the Navigator program. His original group, founded in 1970 and known by the acronym which stands for Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, once employed Barack Obama as a community organizer. But the group went bankrupt after a journalist’s sting operation caught employees allegedly telling clients how to cheat on taxes, causing donations to dry up and lawmakers to cut off public funding.
Epstein said the ban on funding to ACORN-related groups was mysteriously dropped from the most recent continuing resolution, which Congress uses to fund the government absent formal budgets. He said there appears to be little oversight as to who gets Navigator grants.
Rep. Tim Murphy, R-Pa., who heads an oversight committee investigating the Navigator grant program, said several grass roots groups are getting in on the program, despite having no track record — or in the case of the ULC, having a poor one. He blames what he called a rush to implement the Affordable Care Act, as ObamaCare is formally known.
