WILL REMEMBER WHAT A CLOTHESLINE WAS.
Remembering Mom's Clothesline
There is one thing that's left out.
We had a long wooden pole (clothes pole) thatwas used to push the clotheslines up so that
longer items (sheets/pants/etc.) didn't brush
the ground and get dirty. I can hear my mother now...
THE BASIC RULES FOR CLOTHESLINES: (If you don't
even know what clotheslines are, better skip this.)
1. You had to hang the socks by the toes... NOT the top.
2. You hung pants by the BOTTOM/cuffs... NOT the waistbands.
3. You had to WASH the clothesline(s) before hanging any clothes -
walk the entire length of each line with a damp cloth around the lines.4. You had to hang the clothes in a certain order, and always
hang "whites" with "whites," and hang them first.
5. You NEVER hung a shirt by the shoulders - always by the tail!
What would the neighbors think?6. Wash day on a Monday! NEVER hang clothes on the weekend,
or on Sunday, for Heaven's sake!
7. Hang the sheets and towels on the OUTSIDE lines so youcould hide your "unmentionables" in the middle (perverts &
busybodies, y'know!)
8. It didn't matter if it was sub-zero weather... clothes would "freeze-dry."
9. ALWAYS gather the clothes pins when taking down dry clothes!
Pins left on the lines were "tacky"!
10. If you were efficient, you would line the clothes up sothat each item did not need two clothes pins, but shared
one of the clothes pins with the next washed item.
11. Clothes off of the line before dinner time, neatly folded
in the clothes basket, and ready to be ironed. IRONED??!!
Well, that's a whole OTHER subject!
And now a POEM...
A clothesline was a news forecast, To neighborspassing by, There were no secrets you could keep,
When clothes were hung to dry. It also was a
friendly link, For neighbors always knew if
company had stopped on by, To spend a night or two.
For then you'd see the "fancy sheets", And towelsupon the line; You'd see the "company table cloths",
With intricate designs. The line announced a
baby's birth, From folks who lived inside, As brand
new infant clothes were hung, So carefully with pride!
The ages of the children could, So readily be known
By watching how the sizes changed, You'd knowhow much they'd grown! It also told when illness
struck, As extra sheets were hung; Then
nightclothes, and a bathrobe too, Haphazardly were strung.
It also said, "On vacation now", When lines hung limp
and bare. It told, "We're back!" when full lines sagged,
With not an inch to spare! New folks in town were
scorned upon, If wash was dingy and gray, As neighbors
carefully raised their brows, And looked the other way.
But clotheslines now are of the past, For dryers
make work much less. Now what goes on inside
a home, Is anybody's guess! I really miss that way
of life, It was a friendly sign When neighbors knew
each other best... By what hung on the line.

Bill Clinton ordered to report for induction on July 28, 1969.
Bill Clinton refuses to report and is not inducted into the military.

Clinton signs enlistment papers and takes oath of enlistment.
Bill Clinton fails to report to his duty station at the University of

various books that have been published, and have not been refuted by Clinton

After the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, President Clinton promised that
those responsible would be hunted down and punished.
After the 1995 bombing in Saudi Arabia ,which killed five U. S. military
personnel, Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and
punished.
After the 1996 Khobar Towers bombing in Saudi Arabia , which killed 19 and
injured 200 U. S. military personnel, Clinton promised that those
responsible would be hunted down and punished.
After the 1998 bombing of U. S. embassies in Africa , which killed 224 and
injured 5,000, Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down
and punished.
After the 2000 bombing of the USS Cole, which killed 17 and injured 39 U. S.
sailors, Clinton promised that those responsible be hunted down and
punished.
Maybe if Clinton had kept those promises, an estimated 3,000 people in New
York and Washington , DC , who are now dead would be alive today.
THINK ABOUT IT! It is a strange turn of events. Hillary gets $8 Million for
her forthcoming memoir. Bill gets about $12 Million for his memoir yet to be
written. This from two people who spent 8 years being unable to recall
anything about past events while under oath.

in Chicago and served as an attorney for ACORN, people said it didn't

who were tax cheats and socialists, people said it didn't matter.

believes in forced abortions, mass sterilizations and seizing babies

said Mao Tse Tung was her favorite philosopher and the person she

WHEN - he appointed Carol Browner, a well-known socialist
as Global Warming Czar working on Cap and Trade as the nation's
largest tax, people said it didn't matter.
WHEN - he appointed Van Jones, an ex-con and avowed
Communist as Green Energy Czar, who since had to resign when this was
made known, people said it didn't matter.
WHEN - Tom Daschle, Obama's pick for Health and Human
Services Secretary could not be confirmed because he was a tax cheat,
people said it didn't matter.
WHEN - as President of the United States, he bowed to the
King of Saudi Arabia, people said it didn't matter.
WHEN - he traveled around the world criticizing America
and never once talking of her greatness, people said it didn't matter.
WHEN - his actions concerning the Middle East seemed to
support the Palestinians over Israel, our longtime ally, people said
it didn't matter.
WHEN - he took American tax dollars to resettle thousands
of Palestinians from Gaza to the United States, people said it didn't
matter.
WHEN - he upset the Europeans by removing plans for
missile defense system against the Russians, people said it didn't
matter.
WHEN - he played politics in Afghanistan by not sending
troops early-on when the Field Commanders said they were necessary to
win, people said it didn't matter.
WHEN - he started spending us into a debt that was so big
we could not pay it off, people said it didn't matter.
WHEN - he took a huge spending bill under the guise of
stimulus and used it to pay off organizations, unions, and
individuals that got him elected, people said it didn't matter.
WHEN - he took over insurance companies, car companies,
banks, etc., people said it didn't matter.
WHEN - he took away student loans from the banks and put
it through the government, people said it didn't matter.
WHEN - he designed plans to take over the health care
system and put it under government control, people said it didn't
matter.
WHEN -he claimed he was a Christian during the election
and tapes were later made public that showed Obama speaking to a
Muslim group and 'stating' that he was raised a Muslim, was educated
as a Muslim, and is still a Muslim, people said it didn't matter.
WHEN -he set into motion a plan to take over the control
of all energy in the United States through Cap and Trade, people said
it didn't matter.
WHEN - he finally completed his transformation of America
into a Socialist State, people woke up --- but it was too late. Add
these up one by one and you get a score that points to the fact that
Barrack Hussein Obama is determined to turn America into a
Marxist-Socialist society.
All of the items in the preceding paragraphs have been
put into place. All can be documented very easily. Before you disavow
this, do an Internet search. The last paragraph alone is not yet cast
in stone. You and I will write that paragraph. Will it read as above
or will it be a happier ending for most of America?
Don't just belittle the opposition. Search for the truth.
We all need to pull together or watch the demise of a free Democratic
society. We need to seek the truth and take action for it will keep
us FREE. Our biggest enemy is not China, Russia, North Korea or Iran.
Our biggest enemy is our complacent selves. The government will not
help, so we need to do it ourselves.

who don't know about Obama's actions and plans for the USA, so that
they may know how to vote in November, 2014 and the ensuing years?

January, February, March ... $$ Goining, going, gone!
THE FIRST THREE MONTHS!
Happy New Year America
Here is what happened on January 1st 2014:
Top Income Tax bracket went from 35% to 39.6%
Top Income Payroll Tax went from 37.4% to 52.2%
Capital Gains Tax went from 15% to 28%
Dividend Tax went from 15% to 39.6%
Estate Tax went from 0% to 55%
Remember this 'fact;' if you have any money, the Democrats want it! All these taxes were passed with only Democrat votes. Not one Republican voted to do these taxes. Remember this come election time. And make sure your friends and neighbors know this info too!
These taxes were all passed under the affordable care act, otherwise known as Obama care.
