PRESIDENTIAL QUIZ: ONE IS A SOCIALIST, ONE IS A COMMUNIST, BOTH ARE MARXISTS?

Posted: 24 Dec 2013 02:21 PM PST

Americans were right about one thing, the election of Barack Obama was a historic event. Never before did America elect a black president. Never before did America elect such an incompetent, lazy, and arrogant president. And, never before did America elect someone whose patriotism and anti-America actions are questioned each and every day.

Do we really want another “historic” president? Can we afford another “historic” president. And, most of all, can America survive another “historic” president?

We live in times when the electorate is deeply divided and being manipulated by a razor-thin minority (no pun intended). It is time to return America to mainstream values, traditions, and core beliefs. It is time for America to gather strength and preserve its assets in the face of a world full of bad actors who believe that America is weak and open to subversion from both, foreign and domestic sources. All because our politicians appear to hate an America which they view as parochial and colonial.

Time for a change. No more Marxists, socialists, communists, ideologues – and most of all corrupt, self-serving politicians.

OBAMA BITCH SLAPS AMERICAN ATHLETES -- ON BEHALF OF THE GAY AGENDA

Posted: 24 Dec 2013 02:05 PM PST

There is absolutely no reason to distract and disrespect American athletes on the world stage, by introducing issues involving gay sex into the Olympics. But, that is exactly what President Barack Obama and his cadre of progressive socialist democrats did when they appointed three (known) gay Americans to the United States delegation to the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.

Some say that this was in response to Russians anti-gay position which is none of our business – that is unless your political party is supported by progressive socialist democrats who are also wealthy gay activists. Another case of a vocal special interest minority triumphing over the majority of non-gay Americans.

The Olympics is not about politics and foreign policy, it is about sport and athletes who have trained long and hard to capture the gold.

Bottom line …

More needless angst and controversy from a progressive socialist democrat who does not appear to recognize American values and traditions, and who may dislike America as evidenced by his long-term participation in “church” events lead by his self-proclaimed “spiritual mentor,” the anti-Jew, anti-white, anti-America Reverend Jeremiah Wright. Not to mention his associations with known socialists, communists, crooks, and domestic terrorists trying to overthrow the United States.

Sport, especially at national and international levels, should be about sport – and not about the gay agenda and the promotion of homosexuality as a mainstream lifestyle. As for this President, once again he proves he hates the traditional idea of America.

NSA whistleblower said he had no relationship with the Russian government, likening his life in Moscow to that of a house cat

http://www.theguardian.com/world/2013/dec/24/edward-snowden-i-already-won

----

The whistleblower Edward Snowden has declared “mission accomplished”, seven months after revelations were first published from his mass leak of National Security Agency documents.

The documents, which were passed to the Guardian, as well the Washington Post and other publications, revealed how technological developments were used by the US surveillance agency to spy on its own citizens and others abroad, and also to spy on allies, such as the US on Germany andAustralia on Indonesia.

In 14 hours of interviews  with Washington Post journalist Barton Gellman, Snowden said: “For me, in terms of personal satisfaction, the mission’s already accomplished.”

He continued: “I already won. As soon as the journalists were able to work, everything that I had been trying to do was validated. Because, remember, I didn’t want to change society. I wanted to give society a chance to determine if it should change itself.

“All I wanted was for the public to be able to have a say in how they are governed.”

Snowden said other colleagues at the NSA had been concerned the agency was spying on “more Americans in America than Russians in Russia” and were not entirely comfortable with the data collected on “ordinary” citizens.

He described using the “front-page test” on his colleagues when raising the issues, asking them how they thought the public would react if information was reported on the front page of a newspaper.

He said he had brought his concerns to at least four superiors and 15 colleagues at the NSA and used a heatmap from the data query tool BOUNDLESSINFORMANT to show how much data the agency was collecting.

The NSA told the Washington Post that none of these approaches had taken place.

Snowden also said he had suggested changing NSA systems so there would need to be a second authorisation for copying files to a hard drive but was rejected.

If his suggestion had been implemented Snowden would not have been able to copy all the files he took. An NSA spokeswoman also denied those conversations had taken place.

“I am not trying to bring down the NSA, I am working to improve the NSA,” Snowden said.

“I am still working for the NSA right now. They are the only ones who don’t realise it.”

Snowden revealed a little of his life in asylum in Moscow. He likened himself to an ascetic and a house cat and said he rarely left the house, spending most of his days surfing the internet – though visitors have brought him piles of books.

He does not drink – he says he never has – and lives mostly on ramen noodles.

There has been speculation that Snowden has rigged up a type of “dead man’s switch” so if the NSA, or a similar spy agency, hurt or kill him, then a cache of thousands of documents would be released on to the internet.

Snowden denied this and likened the scenario to a “suicide switch”, alluding to people who might want the information on the internet, unchecked and unredacted, and would kill him for the sake of it.

He named the chairs of the Senate and house intelligence committee, Dianne Feinstein and Mike Rogers, as people who had “elected” him to his whistleblower position by not doing their jobs properly in ensuring the oversight of the NSA.

“It wasn’t that they put it on me as an individual – that I’m uniquely qualified, an angel descending from the heavens – as that they put it on someone, somewhere,” he said.

“You have the capability, and you realise every other [person] sitting around the table has the same capability but they don’t do it. So somebody has to be the first.”

He said he had no relationship with the Russian government. “If I defected at all, I defected from the government to the public,” he said.

15 Quotes About The Duck Dynasty Controversy That Every American Should See ...

Posted: 23 Dec 2013 04:09 PM PST

Phil RobertsonWhat is being done to Phil Robertson shows just how far America has fallen.  The thought police are waging an all-out campaign to take down one of the biggest names in the United States, and if they are successful none of us will ever be safe again.  We are becoming a nation that is governed by bullying, intimidation and unwritten speech codes, and if you happen to say the “wrong thing” you could lose everything.  Liberal pundits are gleefully declaring that making statements such as Robertson made “should get you fired from most jobs“.  That means that they believe that unless you conform to their version of morality (or keep your mouth shut forever) you should lose your job.  So are you ready to lose your job for what you believe?  Because that is where we are heading.  In the future, if you do not conform to their politically correct Big Brother speech code, you will be unemployable and you and your entire family will be outcasts from society.  That is why the Duck Dynasty controversy is so important.  This is a “line in the sand” moment, and if the thought police are successful than those that refuse to abandon Biblical morality will soon be forced underground.  Do you really want to live in a country where a large percentage of the population can no longer express what they believe to be right and wrong?

According to a Pew Research survey that was conducted earlier this year, 45 percent of all Americans believe that homosexual actions are a “sin” and 45 percent of all Americans do not.  So this is an issue that the country is pretty evenly divided on.

A&E certainly has a right to fire anyone that they want.  And they certainly have a right to air whatever programming they wish.

In response, supporters of Phil Robertson and Duck Dynasty certainly have the right to stop watching A&E permanently.

But this controversy goes far beyond that.  It is being suggested that Phil Robertson should not be employable by anyone because of what his personal religious convictions are.  Since this uproar began, we have heard over and over about how anyone who thinks this way should be permanently banned from television.  The vitriol directed toward Phil Robertson has been overwhelming.

And of course there is a purpose for this.  The truth is that they are trying to make an example out of him in order to chill the free speech of all the rest of us.  They want to intimidate all of us into either changing our beliefs or shutting up.

Is this really what America has degenerated into?

Somewhere along the way, our nation has chosen to believe some very serious lies.  First of all, disagreement is not the same thing as hate.  If I disagree with what someone else is doing, that does not mean that I “fear” or “hate” them.

Secondly, to love someone does not mean that you have to approve of everything that they do.  In fact, I can love someone else very much and still disapprove of what they are doing.  Most parents know exactly what I am talking about.

And that is exactly the case with Phil Robertson of Duck Dynasty.  He is not a “homophobe” and he certainly does not hate the gay community.  Phil just believes that sexual morality is governed by the Bible, and that is how he chooses to live his life.  Sadly, it has become extremely unacceptable to the power elite in this country for a high profile television star to do that.

This is a very important moment in American history.  The way that the nation responds to this controversy is going to heavily influence the direction that we are going to go next.  Below are 15 quotes about the Duck Dynasty controversy that every American should see.  Included are quotes from Americans that are both gay and straight, liberal and conservative, non-religious and Christian.  All throughout society, Americans are rising up and objecting to the use of bullying, intimidation and unwritten speech codes to force people to conform to a specific agenda…

#1 Robert Lloyd writing for the Los Angeles Times: “Though I inhabit a different reality from Robertson — my authorities are secular and scientific, not Biblical and faith-based — I assuredly don’t believe his remarks, which were not even made on television, disqualify him from appearing on television. Except as network broadcasters are responsible to the public that owns the airwaves, ideological purity tests have no place in that medium or any other.”

#2 Lesbian author Tammy Bruce: “What’s especially troubling for minority communities in this country, the civil rights movements, especially the gay civil rights movement, was about asking for people and demanding the right for us to be able to live our lives as we see fit without being punished for being different. It’s ironic also that one of the big campaigns by the gay community is about ending bullying. If this is not a sign of the ultimate of bullying I don’t know what is”

#3 Joseph Mattera: “Consequently, we can curse the name of Jesus Christ all we want and make fun of the Bible on television and depict evangelicals on television shows as imbeciles with impunity—but try to say anything deemed derogatory (including the quotation of Scripture) related to a particular kind of human behavior this society celebrates and you will lose your job and reputation, because it violates their blasphemy laws.”

#4 Lesbian Camille Paglia, a professor at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, during a radio interview with Laura Ingraham: “In a democratic country, people have the right to be homophobic as well as they have the right to support homosexuality – as I one hundred percent do. If people are basing their views against gays on the Bible, again, they have a right of religious freedom there”

#5 Wayne Allyn Root: “The firing of Phil Robertson, star of “Duck Dynasty” is a free speech issue. It’s symbolic of the biased, one-sided way the media and leftist elites treat free speech. People have every right to express opinions considered “progressive” or “politically correct” nowadays. But the same rules don’t apply to salt-of-the-earth, apple-pie, middle Americans who believe in God, country, guns, and yes, the Bible.”

#6 Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal: “I remember when TV networks believed in the First Amendment. It is a messed up situation when Miley Cyrus gets a laugh, and Phil Robertson gets suspended.”

#7 Andrew Sullivan: “Robertson is a character in a reality show. He’s not a spokesman for A&E any more than some soul-sucking social x-ray from the Real Housewives series is a spokeswoman for Bravo. Is he being fired for being out of character? Nah. He’s being fired for staying in character – a character A&E have nurtured and promoted and benefited from. Turning around and demanding a Duck Dynasty star suddenly become the equivalent of a Rachel Maddow guest is preposterous and unfair.”

#8 Mat Staver, founder and chairman of Liberty Counsel: “Duck Dynasty’s unashamed displays of faith and traditional values are a breath of fresh air in this Miley Cyrus culture, where flagrant displays of sexuality permeate entertainment. In fact, I believe it is the show’s strong family values that make the reality comedy the most-watched nonfiction cable telecast in history.”

#9 U.S. Senator Ted Cruz: “If you believe in free speech or religious liberty, you should be deeply dismayed over the treatment of Phil Robertson. Phil expressed his personal views and his own religious faith; for that, he was suspended from his job. In a free society, anyone is free to disagree with him–but the mainstream media should not behave as the thought police censoring the views with which they disagree.”

#10 Larry Alex Taunton writing for The Atlantic: “Missing in the controversy over A&E’s handling of its golden goose—or duck, rather—is the fact that the real conflict here is not between Robertson and A&E; it is between gay activists and a solid majority of Christians who believe homosexual acts are wrong. Again, Robertson’s views are hardly anomalous. Christians may disagree on the details, but the Bible strongly condemns homosexuality in both the Old and New Testaments; the marriage model of one man and one woman is first given by God in Genesis 2 and reiterated by Jesus in Matthew 19; and in Romans 1 the Apostle Paul denounces homosexuality as a hallmark of a degenerate culture. The point here isn’t that you have to believe any of this, but many Christians do believe it and feel morally bound to believe it.”

#11 Ray Gano: “I point all this out because if the powers that be are willing to do this to TV’s top rated show and the show’s star, with a willingness to put millions upon millions of dollars at stake, then they have absolutely no problem doing it to us, the plain bible believing Christian.

People need to wake up and smell the coffee.

This is EXACTLY what the Nazi’s did in Germany. They vilified, demonized, demoralized the Jew. They attacked their businesses and wrote laws targeted against them.

The powers that be are doing the exact same thing today to bible believing Christians.

But when are people going to wake up to that fact and start paying attention to the writing on the wall?”

#12 Steve Tobak: “The Duck Dynasty controversy is the result of the growing power of self-serving minority and special-interest activists that ruthlessly bully and extort those who say or do something they don’t agree with. They become more powerful and emboldened every time their efforts pay off. The way to stop them is to never give in to their threats and demands. Never.

You may not agree with the Duck Dynasty folks, but that’s not the point. The point is you could be next.”

#13 Cracker Barrel on the decision to bring Duck Dynasty merchandise back into their stores: “You told us we made a mistake. And, you weren’t shy about it. You wrote, you called and you took to social media to express your thoughts and feelings. You flat out told us we were wrong. Today, we are putting all our Duck Dynasty products back in our stores. And, we apologize for offending you.”

#14 Dr. Michael Brown: “This censorship and bullying will only get worse unless we make a determination to stand for what is right and speak the truth in love, regardless of cost or consequence, recognizing that our strategy of appeasement (which has often been a cover-up for our spinelessness and fear of man) has failed miserably.”

#15 Phil Robertson: “I would never treat anyone with disrespect just because they are different from me. We are all created by the Almighty and like Him, I love all of humanity. We would all be better off if we loved God and loved each other.”

So what do you think of the Duck Dynasty controversy?

Did Phil lie?

1 Corinthians 6:9-11 (New International Version)

Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men  nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

What the Duck?

“Everything is blurred on what’s right and what’s wrong,” he says. “Sin becomes fine.”

What, in your mind, is sinful?

“Start with homosexual behavior and just morph out from there. Bestiality, sleeping around with this woman and that woman and that woman and those men,” he says. Then he paraphrases Corinthians: “Don’t be deceived. Neither the adulterers, the idolaters, the male prostitutes, the homosexual offenders, the greedy, the drunkards, the slanderers, the swindlers—they won’t inherit the kingdom of God. Don’t deceive yourself. It’s not right.”

While Phil may have spoken in crude terms, let us remember that this is not an ignorant man. He is an inventor, businessman, and educator – possessing a Masters Degree in Education and is qualified as a teacher.

“It seems like, to me, a vagina—as a man—would be more desirable than a man’s anus. That’s just me. I’m just thinking: There’s more there! She’s got more to offer. I mean, come on, dudes! You know what I’m saying? But hey, sin: It’s not logical, my man. It’s just not logical.”

A&E Hypocrisy?

‘We are extremely disappointed to have read Phil Robertson's comments in GQ, which are based on his own personal beliefs and are not reflected in the series 'Duck Dynasty'.

‘His personal views in no way reflect those of A&E Networks, who have always been strong supporters and champions of the LGBT community. The network has placed Phil under hiatus from filming indefinitely.’

Or a publicity stunt?

Why would A&E set up an interview with a magazine that promotes merchandise to “stylish men?”  A “yuppie” magazine with a large gay readership?  A&E set up the interview and an A&E representative was present during most of the interview. So, knowing the contents of the interview, why did A&E throw Phil Robertson under the bus as jeopardize a multi-million dollar entertainment and merchandising property? Some thoughts come to mind: stupidity, inattention, and incompetence. Then there are the darker motivations that are not unknown in tv-land. Weakening the brand prior to a contract negotiation or creating controversy to create additional awareness and profits.

Backfire? Like the forest rangers who set a “controlled burn” and accidently set off a raging wildfire, A&E finds themselves embroiled in the controversy.

Whatever A&E’s motivation, there appears to be an unintended consequence; sparking a national debate between the normally silent majority and the shrill voices of the activists shilling for the grievance industry. People who would not normally speak out are standing behind Phil and the idea that a small number of vocal activists should not dominate the conversation when it comes to core beliefs and issues.

While freedom of speech and/or religion is not an issue here because those are constitutional prohibitions against government actions, nobody disputes A&E’s contractual right to sanction Phil Robertson or control anything that damages their brand or platform. Nobody disputes the right of A&E to act stupidly or in their own best interests. Nobody disputes the right of Phil Robertson to say anything he wants – in non-A&E media.

So why is this a big deal?

The activists love the controversy as it provides extensive self-serving face time on major broadcast outlets and interviews in print publications. The media loves the controversy as it translates into larger audiences and higher ratings. And, we are unsure if A&E actually loves the controversy that might ultimately result in significantly larger audience numbers.

Bottom line …

There is little or no doubt that the concept of Duck Dynasty started as an inside joke to feature white trash and rednecks as a living joke that could be enjoyed by those who want to feel superior to others. Honey Boo Boo in the woods.

Unfortunately for A&E, their entertainment venture was perceived by the vast majority of the audience to be an honest portrayal of rural life – complete with family values and life lessons. In fact, the program became a shorthand meme for real America and Americans – the kind of people who weather adversity and thrive, using their native skills to build a productive and satisfying life without all of the tschokes that the media hawks to pump up your self-esteem.

It appears that Phil Robertson does not need much to pump up his self-esteem or well-being. He’s got his bible, his woman, his family, his land, and his gun – with a well-stocked natural supermarket outside his front door. He has a business and a purpose to his life. And, whatever you may think of him and his kinfolk – they do not need A&E nor the adulation of adoring fans. To hear most of the Robertson clan, shaving their beards to reduce recognition and having a little more anonymity would make them happy, happy, happy.

A&E and their sponsors will do what they can legally do. The Robertson clan will do what they can legally do. And, the audience who loves Duck Dynasty, myself included, hopes that whatever these two parties decide to do, Duck Dynasty will continue on with Phil Robertson as the centerpiece for this entertaining show.

As for the national debate that has been started … perhaps this is the best thing that can happen in America. Where traditional values trump the progressive socialist democrats and their coalition of victimhood groups – and people come out to vote. For America and against socialism.

And, perhaps the yuppies might just step out into nature once and a while, instead of supporting activists and causes that purport to support nature, while in fact reducing our liberty and freedoms.
