Those who were born in the 50’s, 60’s ,70’s and early 80’s are the last generation who played in the street. During our childhood we“walked” over a mile a day when we played & played “hide & seek” outside at night with no worries or fear of anything bad happening to us.

We are the first generation who played video games and the last to record songs off the radio onto a cassette tape. We learned how to program a VCR before anyone else, we were the first to play from Atari to Nintendo. We are the generation of Tom & Jerry, Looney Toons, & Captain Kangaroo. We traveled in cars without seat belts or air bags, lived without cell phones and caller ID. We did not have fax machines, flat screens, surround sound, I pods, Facebook, Twitter, computers or the internet, and through it allwe had a great time.

Now send this on to those who remember all these things and those who are too young to know what maybe the better times were really like. Ah the good ole days.......

ABC News Joins Obama and Bans American Flag Lapel Pins!

ABC NEWS BANS FLAG LAPEL PINS

This is what we get from the present attitudes in Washington.

Barbara Walters said that this was going to hurt ABC bad. And she works for ABC.

YESTERDAY THE BRASS AT ABC NEWS ISSUED ORDERS FORBIDDING REPORTERS TO WEAR LAPEL PIN AMERICAN FLAGS OR OTHER PATRIOTIC INSIGNIA.

THEIR REASONING WAS THAT ABC SHOULD REMAIN NEUTRAL ABOUT 'CAUSES'.

SINCE WHEN IS PATRIOTISM TO BE DISCOURAGED?

I URGE YOU TO BOYCOTT ABC AND ITS SPONSORS AND AFFILIATES.

WE ARE SLOWLY LOSING EVERYTHING OUR COUNTRY STANDS FOR AND EVERYTHING OUR MEN AND WOMEN FOUGHT AND DIED TO PRESERVE!

THE PROGRESSIVE SOCIALIST DEMOCRATS IN CALIFORNIA HAVE CREATED AN ARTIFICIAL DROUGHT

One Citizen Speaking...

VALENTINE'S DAY (2014) MESSAGE FROM MY DOCTOR: I AM LEAVING THE PRACTICE AND THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA!

Posted: 14 Feb 2014 02:42 AM PST

Thank you President Obama and your cadre of progressive socialist democrats who lied to the American public …

dr

Bottom line …

How the hell did the progressive socialist democrats come to the conclusion that they could add 13 million additional insured patients to the healthcare system without increasing the number of facilities, physicians, diagnostic devices, and medical infrastructure?

How the hell did the progressive socialist democrats come to the conclusion that incentivizing insurers to control costs would improve patient care instead of denying or delaying critical and costly treatment, prolonging potential pain and suffering until the patient was closer to death?

How the hell did the progressive socialist democrats come to the conclusion that they could implement a best practices approach that treats the majority of patients and abandons outliers as being unworthy of more costly lifesaving treatments?

hc-curve

About the only thing I do know is how the incompetent, inept, and inexperienced Barack Obama was elected to office. By a coalition of monolithic blacks that voted for race over competence, by a coalition of low information or apathetic voters who did not care enough to vote, by a coalition of white liberals who wanted to feel good about themselves by voting for a black man to prove they were not biased, and of course, a coalition of corrupt members of the media who refused to vet the candidate or expose negative aspects of his background.

obamacare-2

In essence, the American people got what they deserved and the consequences are beginning to be felt. Therefore, I ask you – are you now willing to stand up for the Constitution of the United States and throw these radical and corrupt progressive socialist democrats out of office before they destroy America and the lives of more Americans.

STAY OF EXECUTION FOR SANTA MONICA AIRPORT

Posted: 14 Feb 2014 01:33 AM PST

The progressive socialist democrats and their special interest developer friends have been eying the prime property of Santa Monica Airport for decades. The radical socialists who run the People’s Republic of Santa Monica have done everything in their power to remove the historic Clover Field (as it was formerly known) from federal control, mindless that this airport is a critical infrastructure facility should an area-wide earthquake occur in Los Angeles.

A stay of execution as reported by the Los Angeles Times …

Federal judge throws out Santa Monica's lawsuit over airport

The effort to close Santa Monica Airport suffered a major setback Thursday when a federal judge threw out the city’s lawsuit that sought to wrest control of the facility from the federal government.

U.S. District Judge John F. Walters dismissed the claim that title to the oldest operating airport in Los Angeles County should be returned to the city because the action was brought too late under the statute of limitations. Walters also threw out the allegations that the city was denied due process and that the federal government did not properly compensate the city for taking the property in violation of the U.S. Constitution. The judge said the city failed to first seek compensation for the airport in the Court of Federal Claims.

The federal government obtained the airport from the city during World War II for defense purposes. It transferred the facility back to the city after the war on the condition that it remain an airport in perpetuity unless the government agreed to a change in use. The city has contended that the airport must be closed in 2015 under various federal grant agreements and a 1984 court settlement with the government. <Source:Federal judge throws out Santa Monica's lawsuit over airport - latimes.com>

Where are all of the loudmouth progressives in Hollywood, including former Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, who have no problem using the private facilities at Santa Monica for their private planes and jaunts?

Bottom line …

Santa Monica Airport is a historical place – the home of Douglas Aircraft until the City of Santa Monica decided that their residents would be better served by yogurt and antique shops rather than an industrial base providing decent jobs at decent wages. There is little doubt in my mind that the People’s Republic of Santa Monica is being run for rich progressive socialist democrats and the rest of us be damned.

I grew up on Clover Avenue overlooking Clover Field. The airport was my playground. I learned to fly at Gunnel Aviation. It was a time that can never be recaptured. Also, a time that should never be forgotten.

THE PROGRESSIVE SOCIALIST DEMOCRATS IN CALIFORNIA HAVE CREATED AN ARTIFICIAL DROUGHT

Posted: 13 Feb 2014 09:28 PM PST

The DAM and the DAMNED OBSTACLE TO SOLVING OUR PERIODIC DROUGHTS

d1d2

To the low information and apathetic voter …

Has anyone noticed that Jerry Brown and his cadre of progressive socialist democrats are bemoaning the fact that some Californians are going to suffer from the current so-called “drought” even though the government continues to pump enough water to serve 11,000,000 Californians directly into the ocean in an effort to save a so-called endangered fish that have survived hundreds of years, though hotter temperatures, colder temperatures, more available water and less available water. And, whose exact purpose in the ecological chain cannot be scientifically determined?

ARE YOU WILLING TO SACRIFICE YOUR CHILDREN FOR A WORTHLESS FISH?

s1C2

Has anyone noticed that the State of California is no longer building the dams which would protect against temporary droughts and provide a clean source of energy – while State officials continue to waffle on-and-on about a rise in sea levels that given the IPCC’s (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) craziest estimates would take over 300 years to manifest, if it manifest at all. A period that is likely to include at least one devastating earthquake that overshadows global warming>

Has anyone noticed that the State of California, by itself or in combination with all of the other states, cannot change the solar energy output of the Sun, the Earth’s orbital position relative to the Sun. the rotational dynamics of the Earth, the vulcanology and plate tectonics of the Earth, the heating, cooling and mixing of the deep ocean currents, or the behavior of the most prevalent and potent greenhouse gas, water vapor?

Has anyone noticed that environmental laws and the administrative rules and regulations, in combination with high tax rates for social engineering programs, have forced productive individuals and companies to leave the state – thus increasing the amount of those on unearned entitlement programs – including outrageous union pension manipulations – and reducing the number of taxpayers?

When the hell will we stop appointing radical progressive socialist democrats to commissions, boards, panels where they earn six figure salaries while sowing fear and using junk science to rip-off the system?

Bottom line …

Our state and its residents are slowing dying an unnatural death caused by progressive socialist democrats who are creating and managing artificial scarcities in order to secure political power and convey taxpayer funds to their special interest friends.

We used to be a golden state that made things and where residents had a decent lifestyle. Until it was polluted by outrageous spending on illegal aliens and the enlargement of a unionized government that has plundered our treasury. How can you justify an administrator that earns $600,000 per year – paid more than the President of the United States – for managing a relatively few high schools? Especially when the head of a school district with ten times the students and billions of budgetary dollars earns one-half of that amount? Thank the progressive socialist democrat unions for outrageous contracts and work rules that are bankrupting municipalities and the state itself.

We are so screwed!

The Ninth Circuit’s decision in Peruta v. San Diego, released minutes ago, affirms the right of law-abiding citizens to carry handguns for lawful protection in public.

Katie Pavlich

The infamously liberal Federal Ninth Circuit Court of appeals has struck down a California law practically banning people from carry a gun in public for self defense in the Peruta v. San Diego case. The decision struck down requirements of "need" or "cause" to carry a handgun in public based on violent threats to a person as unconstitutional. In other words, the State cannot restrict an individual from carrying a firearm because a government official doesn't think they face enough threats to justify doing so and affirms carrying a gun in public for self defense is in fact a protected right under the Second Amendment. The ruling based much of its decision on the prior Supreme Court ruling in District of Columbia v. Heller and makes clear that the right to "bear arms" is equal in definition to "carrying arms.

From the decision:

The Second Amendment secures the right not only to “keep” arms but also to “bear” them—the verb whose original meaning is key in this case. Saving us the trouble of pulling the eighteenth-century dictionaries ourselves, the Court already has supplied the word’s plain meaning: “At the time of the founding, as now, to ‘bear’ meant to ‘carry.’” Heller, 554 U.S. at 584.3 Yet, not “carry” in the ordinary sense of “convey[ing] or transport[ing]” an object, as one might carry groceries to the check-out counter or garments to the laundromat, but “carry for a particular purpose—confrontation.”

The decision released by the Court reaffirms the decision of District of Columbia v Heller that the Second Amendment is an individual right, not a collective one.

UPDATE: It is important to point out that government still have the ability to restrict carry, meaning that concealed carry can be banned while open carry is allowed and vice versa, but heavy restrictions on both are unconstitutional. One or the other must be allowed.

CATO's David Kopel explains what's next with different courts on this issue:

Today’s decision creates a split of the Seventh and Ninth Circuits vs. the Second, Third, and Fourth Circuits. The Peruta Court says that Circuits 2-4 erred by relying on cases which are, pursuant to Heller, incorrect, because those cases say that the only purpose of the Second Amendment is for the militia; Heller teaches that the Second Amendment right includes personal self-defense, and need not be connected to militia service.

UPDATE II: The National Rifile Association, which supported this case financially and with a friend of the court brief, has released a statement.

“No one should have to wait until they are assaulted before they are allowed to exercise their fundamental right of self-defense,” said Chris W. Cox, Executive Director of the NRA’s Institute for Legislative Action. “The U.S. Supreme Court has already affirmed our Constitutional right to Keep Arms, and today, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals affirmed the right to Bear Arms. Our fundamental, individual Right to Keep and Bear Arms is not limited to the home,” concluded Cox.

The case is headed to the Supreme Court.

This is a major win for the Second Amendment and for those who want to protect themselves from becoming victims of a crime.

Stay tuned for updates and statements from Second Amendment groups.

I don't have any links, you can decide to verify or not.

This is what I have been able to find so far...

None of the most recent shootings involved anyone who was an NRA member

The Ft Hood shooter was a registered Democrat and a muslim .

At Columbine, too young to vote; however, both families were registered Democrats. and regressive liberals.

Connecticut School Shooter - Registered Democrat; hated Christians.

Aurora Colorado Theater - Registered Democrat; staff worker on the Obama campaign;
Occupy Wall Street participant; regressive liberal.

Virginia Tech - Wrote hate mail to President Bush and to his staff...Registered Democrat

That is as far as I got, but it does seem to fit that pattern that most, if not all were mentally ill liberals, but then again, that is redundant.
RiffRaff Wrote:4 hours ago (3:31 AM)
psydoc, I'm going to go out on a limb and say most shooters are progressive liberals. Progressives are dissatisfied with life. They are generally , frustrated people, at least that's my experience, who have short fuses for things political. Many seem angry, within reason. Put that anger in someone like Laughner, who wasn't mentally/emotionally normal, and it goes violently sideways. The idea that conservatives are violent just isn't supported by the facts.

barrel was cut to snub length
ordered some moon clips for it

the M&P Shield in 40 is surprisingly comfortable

While both a Militia’s and a Standing Armies can serve in the defense of a Country a standing army was “ALWAYS” understood to be a threat to Constitutional Liberties.
The 2nd Amendment was always about the people, the militia and “NEVER” intended as some acknowledgement for the people accepting and arming a standing army……as the despots (in this case the "progressives") would like you to believe.

"The means of defense against foreign danger, have been always the instruments of tyranny at home. Among the Romans it was a standing maxim to excite a war, whenever a revolt was apprehended.
Throughout all Europe, the armies kept up under the pretext of defending, have enslaved the people."
James Madison

"A standing army has always been used by despots to enforce their rule and to keep their people under subjection.
Jefferson

If a well-regulated militia be the most natural defense of a free country, it ought certainly to be under the regulation and at the disposal of that body which is constituted the guardian of the national security. If standing armies are dangerous to liberty, protection of the State is committed, ought, as far as possible, to take away the inducement and the pretext to such unfriendly institutions.
Alexander Hamilton

“A standing military force, with an overgrown Executive will not long be safe companions to liberty,”
