My pilot and aircrew friends who flew them over the years, echo the same thoughts... They added Bobby Kennedy, to the list they detested.  Some they enjoyed:  Eisenhowers, Hubert Humphrey, Sam Nunn, and, MacNamra....... Dick

 

Very interesting snippets from Ronald Kessler’s book about U.S. Presidents, “the impressions & observations” of Secret Service personnel assigned to guard U.S. Presidents/first ladies, and vice presidents.  JOHN & JACQUELINE KENNEDY  *A philanderer of the highest order. *  *She ordered the kitchen help to save all the left-over wine during a State dinner, mixed it with fresh wine and served again during the next White House occasion.*  *LYNDON & LADYBIRD JOHNSON  *Another philanderer of the highest order. In addition, LBJ was as crude as the day is long. Both JFK and LBJ kept a lot of women in the White House for extramarital affairs, and both had set up “early warning systems” to alert them if/when their wives were nearby. Both Kennedy & Johnson were promiscuous and oversexed men.*  *She was either naive or just pretended to “not know” about her husband’s many liaisons.*  *RICHARD & PAT NIXON  *A “moral” man but very odd, weird, paranoid, etc. He had horrible relationship with his family, and in a way, was almost a recluse.*  *She was quiet most of the time.*  *SPIRO AGNEW  * Nice, decent man, everyone in the Secret Service was surprised by his downfall. *  *GERALD & BETTY FORD  *A true gentlemen who treated the Secret Service with respect and dignity. He had a great sense of humor. *  *She drank a lot!*  *JIMMY & ROSALYN CARTER  *A complete phony who would portray one picture of himself to public and very different in private, e..g., would be shown carrying his own luggage, but the suitcases were always empty; he kept the empty ones just for photo ops. Wanted the people to see him as pious and a non-drinker, but he and his family drank alcohol a lot! He had disdain for the Secret Service, and was very irresponsible with the “football” with nuclear codes. He didn’t think it was a big deal and would keep military aides at a great distance. Often did not acknowledge the presence of Secret Service personnel assigned to serve him.*  *She mostly did her own thing.*  *RONALD & NANCY REAGAN  *The real deal — moral, honest, respectful, and dignified. They treated Secret Service and everyone else with respect and honor. Thanked everyone all the time. He took the time to know everyone on a personal level. * One “favorite” story that has circulated among the Secret Service personnel was an incident early in his Presidency, when he came out of his room with a pistol tucked on his hip. The agent in charge asked: “Why the pistol, Mr. President” He replied, “In case you boys can’t get the job done, I can help.” It was common for him to carry a pistol. When he met with Gorbachev, he had a pistol in his briefcase. Upon learning that Gary Hart was caught with Donna Rice, Reagan said, “Boys will be boys, but boys will not be Presidents.” [He obviously either did not know or forgot JFK's and LBJ's sexcapades!]*  *She was very nice but very protective of the President; and the Secret Service was often caught in the middle. She tried hard to control what the President ate, and he would say to the agent, “Come on, you gotta help me out.” The Reagans drank wine during State dinners and special occasions only; otherwise, they shunned alcohol; the Secret Service could count on one hand the times they were served wine during their “family dinner”. For all the fake bluster of the Carters, the Reagans were the ones who lived life as genuinely moral people.*  *GEORGE H. & BARBARA BUSH  *Extremely kind and considerate Always respectful. Took great care in making sure the agents’ comforts were taken care of. They even brought them meals, etc. One time Barbara Bush brought warm clothes to agents standing outside at Kennebunkport; one agent was given a warm hat, and when he tried to nicely say “no thanks” even though he was obviously freezing, President Bush said “Son, don’t argue with the First Lady, put the hat on.” He was the most prompt of the Presidents. He ran the White House like a well-oiled machine.*  *She ruled the house and spoke her mind.*  *BILL & HILLARY CLINTON  *Presidency was one giant party. Not trustworthy — he was nice mainly because he wanted everyone to like him, but to him life is just one big game and party. Everyone knows of his sexuality.*  *She is another phony. Her personality would change the instant cameras were near. She hated with open disdain the military and Secret Service. She was another one who felt people were there to serve her. She was always trying to keep tabs on Bill Clinton.*  *ALBERT GORE  *An egotistical ass, who was once overheard by his Secret Service detail lecturing his only son that he needed to do better in school or he “would end up like these guys” — pointing to the agents.*  *GEORGE W. & LAURA BUSH  *The Secret Service loved him and Laura Bush. He was also the most physically “in shape” who had a very strict workout regimen. The Bushes made sure their entire administrative and household staff understood they were to respect and be considerate of the Secret Service.  *She was one of the nicest First Ladies, if not the nicest; she never had any harsh word to say about anyone.* *BARACK & MICHELLE OBAMA  * Clinton all over again” – hates the military and looks down on the Secret Service. He is egotistical and cunning; looks you in the eye and appears to agree with you, but turns around and does the opposite — untrustworthy. He has temper tantrums.*  *She is a complete bitch, who basically hates anybody who is not black; hates the military; and looks at the Secret Service as servants.*  A taxpayer voting for Obama is like a chicken voting for Col. Sanders.              GOD BLESS AMERICA .....

There seems to be a common characteristic among those who follow the liberal orthodoxy, especially those in the old media. Their ideology and rabid partisanship prevent them from acknowledging, much less correcting, policy failures.

My brother, Rush, expounds the "Limbaugh theorem," which holds that President Obama studiously avoids accountability for his disastrous agenda by positioning himself, with the willing aid of the media, as an outsider -- as one who is merely observing, rather than primarily causing, these failures.

For five years, he's mostly blamed President George W. Bush. The old media never call him on it, for example, in reminding him that he promised to lead us out of this economic hellhole way before now.

They never make him answer for his reckless stimulus package, which created hardly any permanent jobs and in which little money was allocated to infrastructure as he promised. They've never called him on his irresponsible predictions, corruption and waste on Solyndra and similar green projects. Indeed, they promote the propaganda that the financial meltdown of 2008, which liberal policies caused anyway, was worse than anyone thought, that the stimulus resulted in lower unemployment than would have occurred without it and that green project failures are just growing pains in a promising new field.

But Bush isn't the only scapegoat. As Obama doesn't have to worry about blatant inconsistencies, he can blame Bush one day, Republican obstructionists the next and ATMs the next. But now I've noticed a disturbing development in his blame game saga.

He has begun also to blame uncontrollable forces in America, as if the unfolding of history, through no fault of his own, has resulted in a degeneration of economic conditions and we are simply going to have to live with the new normal -- one that lowers the bar on economic growth, employment, the labor participation rate, income, upward mobility and even, hyper-conveniently, health care.

Obama alternatively depicts himself as a proactive agent who has saved us from economic catastrophe by jacking up spending to world-record levels, as a victim of opposition forces preceding and during his term in office, and as a chief executive who is an impotent placeholder, one who is powerless to stop the inevitable forces of malaise that have insinuated themselves into the American economy but nevertheless honor-bound to mitigate the damage and retard our imminent national demise by spending us even further into bankruptcy and redistributing what little money remains to the non-rich as a matter of "fairness."

When it comes to working with the United States, Russia is “playing a zero sum game,” Charles Krauthammer said on Fox News Thursday.

"The premise of the whole reset policy was that we are not in competition and Putin could not believe his luck, to come across a naif from the White House who believed that," he said. "The Russians did not cooperate on Iran. They're running Syria. They're arming Syria. Thumbing their nose at us with Snowden and now Ukraine. And they are playing a zero sum game."

"The fact that no one answers our call in the Defense Ministry in Kiev is a sign of how weak and irrelevant the U.S. has become," he continued. "I can assure you that if Putin's on the line, the phone is answered."

8 die in Tamaulipas Posted: 21 Feb 2014 09:00 PM PST Eight individuals were were killed or were found dead in separate incidents in drug or gang violence in the northern Mexican border state of Tamaulipas since Monday, according to official Mexican news reports. According to a news release posted onm the website of Tamaulipas state government, one man was killed by a Mexican Army patrol last Thursday in Ciudad Vitoria, the state capital of Tamauliapas. The incident took place near the intersection of Avenida Jose Sulaiman Chagnon and  Calle Carlos Adrian Aviles in La Paz colony. Armed suspects were observed by a Mexican Army patrol which attempted a traffic stop.  According to the report, the armed suspects opened fire on the soldiers.  Army return fire hit and killed one suspect. Two other suspects were detained at the scene and were identified as Daniel Rafael Martinez Gonzalez, 24, and Juan Ramon Alvarez Jaramillo, 30.  Soldiers also seized one rifle, one weapons magazine and 27 rounds of ammunition. Three days before, a Tamaulipas state police agent was killed in Ciudad Victoria as he was dining at a seafood restaurant.  The agent was identified in the official new release as  Omar Oswaldo Nava Gil.  The news release failed to detail how Nava Gil died. On Monday in Nuevo Laredo, two inmates were killed in a prison brawl, according to a separate news release.  The victims were identified as Jorge Gonzalez Gomez, 21, and Luis Eduardo Corral Oropeza, 28.  Both men had been admitted to the Nuevo Laredo Centro de Ejecucion de Sanciones (CEDES) only the day before. Three inmates, identified as Humberto Lopez Perez, 32, Valentin Casas Franco, 26, and Vidal Gutierrez Chavez, 28, were said to have committed the murder, which was the result of a "personal grudge". A second prison brawl took place on Thursday, this time at the Centro de Ejecución de Sanciones (CEDES) in Ciudad Victoria. According to the data supplied,  Carlos Palacios Ramirez, 39 and  Edgar Villafuerte Cabriales, 28,were attacked by two other inmates using a makeshift knife.  Both victims were serving time for murder. Two other inmates, identified as Arturo Valdez Loera, 29, and Rodolfo Solis Rodriguez, 28, were said to have confessed to the crime. Finally, the Tamaulipas Procuraduría General de Justicia del Estado (PGJE) or attorney general reported finding at least two dead in separate graves.   In Gomez Farias, charred remains, presumably of an unidentified woman were found in a field, along with articles of women's clothing on January 31st. Meanwhile in El Mante municipality, charred remains were found in a creek bed in ejido El Abra, also with articles of women's clothing, February 12th. WHEN - he appointed Mark Lloyd as Diversity Czar who believes in curtailing free speech, taking from one and giving to another to spread the wealth, who supports Hugo Chavez, people said it didn't matter. WHEN - Valerie Jarrett, an avowed Socialist, was selected as Obama's Senior White House Advisor, people said it didn't matter. WHEN - Anita Dunn, White House Communications Director, said Mao Tse Tung was her favorite philosopher and the person she turned to most for inspiration, people said it didn't matter. WHEN - he appointed Carol Browner, a well-known socialist as Global Warming Czar working on Cap and Trade as the nation's largest tax, people said it didn't matter. WHEN - he appointed Van Jones, an ex-con and avowed Communist as Green Energy Czar, who since had to resign when this was made known, people said it didn't  matter. WHEN- Tom Daschle, Obama's pick for Health and Human Services Secretary could not be confirmed because he was a tax cheat, people said it didn't  matter. WHEN - as President of  the United States, he bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia, people said it didn't matter. WHEN - he traveled  around the world criticizing America and never once talking of her greatness, people said it didn't matter. WHEN - his actions concerning the Middle East seemed to support the Palestinians over Israel, and our longtime ally, people said it didn't matter. WHEN - he took American tax dollars to resettle thousands of Palestinians from Gaza to the United States, people said it didn't matter. WHEN - he upset the Europeans by removing plans for missile defense system against the Russians, people said it didn't matter. WHEN - he played  politics in Afghanistan by not sending troops early-on when the Field Commanders said they were necessary to win, people said it didn't  matter. WHEN - he started spending us into a debt that was so big we could not pay it off, people said it didn't matter. WHEN - he took a huge spending bill under the guise of stimulus and used it to pay off organizations, unions, and individuals that got him elected, people said it didn't  matter. WHEN - he took over insurance companies, car companies, banks, etc., people said it didn't matter. WHEN - he took away student loans from the banks and put it through the government, people said it didn't matter. WHEN - he designed plans to take over the health care system and put it under government control, people said it didn't matter. WHEN - he claimed he was a Christian during the election and tapes were later made public that showed Obama speaking to a Muslim group and 'stating' that he was raised a Muslim, was educated as a Muslim in Indonesia, people said it didn't matter. WHEN - he set into  motion a plan to take over the control of all energy in the United States through Cap and Trade, people said it didn't matter. WHEN- he finally  completed his transformation of America into a Socialist State, people woke up---------but it was too late. Add these up one by one and you get a score that points to  the fact that Barrack Hussein Obama is determined to turn America into a Marxist-Socialist  society. All of the items in the preceding paragraphs have been put into place. All can be  documented very easily. Before you disavow this do an Internet search. The last paragraph  alone is not yet cast in stone. You and I will write that paragraph. Will it read as above or will it be a happier ending for most of America? Don't just belittle the opposition. Search for the truth. We all need to pull together or watch the demise of a free democratic society. We need to seek the truth and take action for it will keepus FREE. Our biggest enemy  is not China, Russia, North Korea or Iran. Our biggest enemy is our complacent selves. The  government will not help, so we need to do it ourselves. Question ....will you delete  this, or pass it on to others who don't know about Obama's actions and plans for the U S A , so that they may know  how to vote in November, 2014 and the ensuing years?
