France: Criticize Islam and Live under Police Protection

by Giulio Meotti  •  February 28, 2016 at 5:00 am

  • "After a few moments of fear, I thought that if there are these threats it is because my fight foiled the plans of the Muslim Brothers by bringing them to light. I decided not to give up." — Laurence Marchand-Taillade, National Secretary of the Parti Radical de Gauche (Radical Party of the Left).

  • The author Éric Zemmour lives under police protection. Two policemen follow him wherever he goes -- including to court, where Muslim organizations tried to defame him and his work by accusing him of "Islamophobia," to silence him.

  • In France, hunting season is still open for critics of Islam.

French politician Laurence Marchand-Taillade (left) lives under police protection after receiving a death threat from Islamists. French author Éric Zemmour also lives under police protection. Two policemen follow him wherever he goes -- including to court, where Muslim organizations tried to defame him and his work by accusing him of "Islamophobia," to silence him.

"You are sentenced to death. It's just a matter of time." This message, in Arabic, was sent by Islamists to Laurence Marchand-Taillade, National Secretary of the Parti Radical de Gauche (Radical Party of the Left). She now lives under the protection of the French police.

Marchand-Taillade forced the Muslim Brotherhood to withdraw, under pressure from France's Interior Ministry, its invitation of three Islamic fundamentalists to a conference in Lille. The Islamists in question were the Syrian Mohamed Rateb al Nabulsi, the Moroccan Abouzaid al Mokrie and the Saudi Abdullah Salah Sana'an, who deem that the penalty for homosexuality is death, that the international coalition against the Islamic State is "infidel," that Jews "destroy the nations" and that only religious music is permitted.

Laurence Marchand-Taillade published an article in Le Figaroin which she called for the ban of these Islamists with their "anti-Semitic and pro-jihadist message."

Turkey's "Fall and Fall"

by Burak Bekdil  •  February 28, 2016 at 4:00 am

  • In reality, Turkey's "post-modern Islamist" leaders were just Islamists gift-wrapped in a nicer package.

  • In a span of only seven months, more than 170 people have lost their lives in bomb attacks in Turkey. This number excludes more than 300 security officials killed by Kurdish militants, and more than 1000 Kurdish militants killed by Turkish security forces.

  • Russia is in the process of encircling Turkey militarily-- in Syria, the Crimea, Ukraine and Armenia.

  • Russia's fight is not about defeating the Islamic State, but about expanding its sphere of influence in the eastern Mediterranean, including the mouth of the Suez Canal. In a way, Russia is challenging NATO through Syria -- the same way Turkey is challenging the Shiites through Syria, or Iran is challenging the Sunnis through Syria.

On October 10, 2015, jihadist suicide bombers murdered more than 100 pro-peace activists in the heart of Ankara, in the worst single act of terror in Turkish history. Pictured above, one of the bombs explodes in the background.

Less than a decade ago, many Western statesmen and pundits were racing ahead to praise Turkey's Islamist leaders as "post-modern, democratic, reformist, pro-European Union Islamists" who could play the role model for less democratic Muslim nations in the Middle East. It was "The Rise and Rise of Turkey," as Patrick Seale put it in the New York Times in 2009.

In reality, the "post-modern Islamists" were just Islamists gift-wrapped in a nicer package. Today, Turks are paying a heavy price for the neo-Ottoman, revisionist, miscalculated strategic vision of their leaders.

With 106 snakes removed, 2016 Python Challenge™ a success

With participants turning in 106 snakes, the 2016 Python Challenge™ is a success on many levels. Today the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) announced the results and winners of the Python Removal Competition at the 2016 Python Challenge™ award ceremony in Davie.

“We are pleased with the success of this year’s Python Challenge,” said FWC Commissioner Ron Bergeron. “Each python that is removed makes a difference for our native wildlife, and the increased public awareness will help us keep people involved as we continue managing invasive species in Florida.”

More than 1,000 people from 29 states registered to take part in the month-long competition to remove Burmese pythons from the Everglades ecosystem.

Here are the official 2016 Python Challenge™ results:

Team Category – Most Pythons

  • Grand prize winners led by team captain Bill Booth captured 33 pythons and received a $5,000 cash prize. Team members include Duane Clark, Dusty Crum and Craig Nicks.
  • Second-place winners led by team captain Paul Shannon captured 9 pythons and received a $1,500 cash prize. Team members include Brian Barrows, Jake Carner and Chris Shannon.

Individual Category – Most Pythons

  • Grand Prize winner Daniel Moniz captured 13 pythons and received a $3,500 cash prize.
  • Second-place winner Steve Daskam captured 8 pythons and received a $750 cash prize.

Team Category – Longest Python

  • Grand Prize winners led by team captain Bill Booth captured a 15-foot-long python and received a $3,000 cash prize. Team members include Duane Clark, Dusty Crum and Craig Nicks.
  • Second-place winners led by team captain Paul Shannon captured a 14-foot, .9-inch-long python and received a $1,000 cash prize. Team members include Brian Barrows, Jake Carner and Chris Shannon.

Individual Category – Longest Python

  • Grand Prize winner Daniel Moniz captured a 13-foot, 8.7-inch-long python and received a $1,000 cash prize.
  • Second-place winner Jack Merwin captured a 13-foot, .77-inch-long python and received a $750 cash prize

All Python Removal Competition winners will also receive a hand-crafted Woodman’s Pal land-clearing tool donated by Pro Tool Industries as part of their prize.

Every Python Removal Competition participant was required to complete an online training module, and more than 500 people also attended in-person trainings, which taught them how to identify, locate and safely and humanely capture Burmese pythons.

“Our staff worked hard to provide these valuable training opportunities throughout south Florida,” said Nick Wiley, FWC executive director. “We attribute much of the success to these expanded training opportunities.”

Other factors that may have led to this year’s success include favorable weather conditions and a larger geographic area for the competition. The original 2013 Python Challenge™ resulted in removal of 68 Burmese pythons.

“We are excited to see so many people contribute to this important effort to conserve Florida’s natural treasure, the Everglades ecosystem,” said Bergeron. “We need to keep this momentum going now that the competition is over.”

In addition to the 2016 Python Challenge™, there are several ways the general public can continue to help the FWC manage nonnatives. People can participate in the FWC’s Python Removal Program, a year-round citizen science program that uses trained individuals to help remove pythons and collect data on pythons on state lands. People can also take part in ongoing Python Patrol trainings to learn more about how to identify and capture Burmese pythons in the wild. Visit MyFWC.com/Python for more information.

The public can also help manage invasive species by reporting nonnative fish and wildlife to the FWC’s Invasive Species Hotline at 888-IVE-GOT1 (888-483-4681), by reporting sightings online at IveGot1.org or by downloading the IveGot1 smartphone app.

The prize money was provided by the Fish & Wildlife Foundation of Florida, which co-hosted the 2016 Python Challenge™ along with the FWC.

Denmark Criminalizes Free Speech - Selectively

by Judith Bergman  •  February 19, 2016 at 5:00 am

  • According to the court decision, pointing out the totalitarian and cruel aspects of Islam itself is now a criminal offense, considered "insulting and demeaning" to Muslims in Denmark and therefore constituting "racism." In effect, this means that the court is conflating what might possibly constitute blasphemy with racism.

  • Conversely, when a Danish imam called Jews "the offspring of apes and pigs," he was officially reported to the police for breaching § 266b, but no legal charges were ever filed against him.

  • In Denmark, apparently, it is a crime to criticize Islam and "Islamists," but calling Jews the "offspring of apes and pigs" and inciting their murder in a packed mosque (and calling non-Muslims in general "animals") can be done with impunity.

Last week, a Danish district court ruled that what a Danish citizen had written on Facebook in November 2013 violated the Danish criminal code.

In response to a debate about the local activities of a radical Islamic organization, Hizb-ut-Tahrir, which works for the re-establishment of the Islamic caliphate, he wrote: "The ideology of Islam is as loathsome, disgusting, oppressive and as misanthropic as Nazism. The massive immigration of Islamists into Denmark is the most devastating thing to happen to Danish society in recent history."

According to § 266b of Denmark's criminal code, it is prohibited and punishable by fine or prison publicly to threaten, insult or demean a group of persons because of their race, skin color, national or ethnic origin, faith or sexual orientation.

‘Profound Lifestyle Changes:’ Leaked Gov’t Docs Show What’s Really Behind The Global Warming Agenda

Almost Unbelievable --- Latest U.S. Statistical Map:

Make sure you read to the bottom...   Quite an eye opener!  (Or should be!)

California

New Mexico

Mississippi

Alabama

Illinois

Kentucky

Ohio

New York

Maine

South Carolina

These 11 States now have More People on Welfare than they do Employed!!!

Last month, the Senate Budget Committee reports that in fiscal year 2012, between food stamps, housing support, child care, Medicaid and other benefits, the average U.S. Household below the poverty line received $168.00 a day in government support.  What's the problem with that much support?  Well, the median household income in America is just over $50,000, which averages out to $137.13 a day.

To put it another way, being on welfare now pays the equivalent of $30.00 an hour for 40 hour week, while the average job pays $20.00 an hour.

Furthermore:
There are actually two messages here.  The first is very interesting, but the second is absolutely astounding - and explains a lot.  A recent "Investor's Business Daily" article provided very interesting statistics from a survey by the United Nations International Health Organization.

Percentage (%) of men and women who survived a cancer five years after diagnosis:

U.S.                65%
England         46%
Canada          42%

% of patients diagnosed with diabetes -received treatment within 6 months:

U.S.                93%
England         15%
Canada          43%

% of seniors needing hip replacement who received it within six months:

U.S.                90%
England         15%
Canada          43%

%  referred to a medical specialist who see one within one month:

U.S.                77%
England         40%
Canada          43%

Number of MRI scanners (a prime diagnostic tool) per million people

U.S.                71
England         14
Canada          18

of seniors (65+), with low income, who are in "excellent health":

U.S.                12%
England           2%
Canada            6%

And now…for the last statistic:
National Health Insurance?

U.S.                NO
England         YES
Canada          YES

Check the last set of statistics!!

The percentage of each past president's cabinet... Who had worked in the private business sector...prior to their appointment to the cabinet.  You know what the private business sector is; a real-life business...not a government job.
Here are the percentages.

38%    T. Roosevelt

40%    Taft
52%    Wilson
49%    Harding
48%    Coolidge
42%    Hoover
50%    F. D. Roosevelt
50%    Truman
57%    Eisenhower
30%    Kennedy
47%    Johnson
53%    Nixon
42%    Ford
32%    Carter
56%    Reagan
51%    GH Bush
39%    Clinton
55%    GW Bush
   8%   Obama

This helps explain the incompetence of this administration:  ONLY 8% of them...have ever worked in private business!   That's right!   Only eight percent---the least, by far, of the last 19 presidents!

And these people are trying to tell our big corporations how to run their business? How can the president of a major nation and society, the one with the most successful economic system in world history, stand and talk about business when he's never worked for one?  Or about jobs when he has never really had one? And, when it's the same for 92% of his senior staff and closest advisers?

They've spent most of their time in academia, government, and/or non-profit jobs. Or...   As "community organizers."

"Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy.  Its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery" -Winston Churchill
