Respectfully Mr. Majority, In the article you site Biden says they will raise taxes BY letting the Bush tax rates expire. Not AND let Bush taxes expire. Big difference. An honest mistake I'm sure. No worries.
ReplyDeleteAs far as politics, the "wealthy" have been paying a lower tax rate than the rest of us. Letting the Bush taxes expire returns the system to balanced. Those Millionaires are obviously not using the tax cuts (and by the way, we're talking like "we" pay 25 percent, "they" 15 percent) to Create Jobs. Maybe the economy would be doing better if they were. But unemployment is still high and the blame cannot go squarely on the President. There is enough to go around. Meanwhile, with the added revenue from millionaires paying their fair share we could pay down the debt, and do other things that take money to jumpstart the economy.
