Real agenda of ACLU exposed at last
Revelations blow lid off plan forged by communist founders
The American Civil Liberties Union has planned a "war on God" from its beginnings, claims a new book by New York Times bestselling author Jerome Corsi, a scheme born from the group's foundation, steeped in communist goals.
Corsi told WND history may have conveniently forgotten the ACLU's original objective, but his new book, "Bad Samaritans: The ACLU's Relentless Campaign to Erase Faith from the Public Square," digs up what the ACLU doesn't want you to remember.
"The book exposes the roots of ACLU in the 1920s among socialists and communists who were opposing World War I," Corsi told WND. "It's founder, Roger Baldwin, was a draft resister in 1917 who went to prison. Among the early board members were outright communists, including William Foster, who was at one time the general secretary of the Communist Party USA and wrote the book 'Toward Soviet America.'
"The initial impulse of the ACLU was to fight for a definition of civil liberties that lined up with atheist, communist ideals," Corsi continued. "Primary among the objectives was to eliminate God. [Communist philosopher Karl] Marx's idea was that religion was the 'opiate of the people,' so the idea of God had to be broken down to establish the basis for communism, namely scientific materialism, which clashed with the religious conviction of America's Founding Fathers, who believed our rights were inalienable, granted by God, and chief among those was freedom of religion."
Thus, rather than defending the freedoms enshrined in the Bill of Rights, as many today believe the ACLU does, the group's goal has been from the beginning to destroy the very basis for those rights, which, as the Declaration of Independence explains, are "endowed by our Creator."
In fact, Corsi contends, the First Amendment protecting freedom of religion, rather than being sacrosanct to the ACLU, actually stands in its way.
"Through a good public relations job over the years, the ACLU has tried to represent itself as defending liberties," Corsi told WND. "Most people don't know its real history, haven't studied the cases it championed, don't understand the extent to which it has advanced not civil liberties, but an extreme leftist agenda."
Discover for yourself the hidden agenda of the ACLU with Jerome Corsi's "Bad Samaritans: The ACLU's Relentless Campaign to Erase Faith from the Public Square."
Corsi pointed to one of the ACLU's first cases, the Scopes "monkey" trial of 1925, in which the ACLU brought its own Clarence Darrow to defend John Scopes, accused of illegally teaching evolution at a Tennessee high school. But more importantly than defending Scopes, Corsi contends, was the ACLU's intent to attack biblical Christianity.
"Darrow, the ACLU attorney, was trying to pit evolutionary science as knowledge and reason against the intellectual 'prejudice' of the Bible – in other words, to make the case only stupid people believe in the Bible," Corsi told WND. "The whole idea, perpetuated later by the movie 'Inherit the Wind,' was to establish in the public mind the primacy of science and human reason, these are the things the left looks to transplant belief in God and religious morals.
"That kind of case was the ACLU trying to get God banned from schools, education, from the public square," Corsi continued, "but not by attacking the First Amendment head on, rather by attacking religion as a prejudice that violated 'civil liberties.'"
The founding principles of the ACLU, however, haven't been relegated to the dustbin of history, Corsi contends, but have continued in a steady march for nearly 100 years.
"Bad Samaritans" lays out in a straightforward, no-nonsense style a pattern Corsi contends demonstrates the ACLU has not only undermined the First Amendment, but also conducted a "war on God." As recently as March 2013, for example, the ACLU brought forth cases to challenge a portrait of Jesus Christ at a middle school in Ohio, a North Carolina county has been sued over its traditional Christian invocations at meetings and Mississippi's pending school prayer law is being threatened.
"Since the organization was created in 1920, so many constitutional battles have been lost to the ACLU that time has grown short to stop the onslaught," the publisher's release asserts. "Over its history the ACLU has been the archetypical bad Samaritan – a stranger to the nation's religious tradition, whose founders instilled within the organization values designed to erase all vestiges of the nation's Judeo-Christian roots. … Even more insidiously, the ACLU strategy devised by its founders was predicated on a determination to wage its war on God in a stealth fashion in which the ACLU intends to destroy religious freedom by appearing on the scene as a defender of religious freedom."
"For decades, the Bad Samaritan of the ACLU has beaten and robbed the First Amendment's statement of religious freedom to the point that Judeo-Christian believers have been left lying by the side of the road, as if abandoned to die," notes Corsi. "As our Founding Fathers aptly reminded us, only a moral people can preserve the liberty required to build a bright future for America in which individual initiative and free enterprise can thrive once again.
"The point of the 'Bad Samaritans' book is that the hour is late, but the battle is not yet lost," explains Corsi. "It's not intended as a comprehensive compendium of Supreme Court cases dealing with religion. Instead, I want to unmask the ACLU's hypocritical facade of defending civil liberties that the organization strives to sell to a secular public unable to appreciate how deeply liberty will be lost if God is abandoned.
"I will expose the secret history of the ACLU in order to encourage supporters of our faith to enter the war on God's side," Corsi concluded. "We must win the war against our faith if we are to preserve for future generations the heritage of liberty our Founding Fathers so generously left for us. If the ACLU wins its war on God, our founding documents – including the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights – will not be worth the parchment on which they were written."

Corsi is one of only a handful of writers who have had more than one No. 1 New York Times bestsellers, and he's got a collection of titles – some famous, some infamous – since he penned his first political shocker in 2004, "Unfit for Command," a book that probably cost John Kerry the presidency. You might recall, his supporters claim, Kerry was "swiftboated." This is the book they're talking about.
The WND Superstore has a complete section of other recent Corsi titles to hold your attention and whet your appetite for the release of "Where's the Birth Certificate?"
They include:
The fiction thriller "The Shroud Codex": If you have ever been intrigued by the Shroud of Turin, this is the book for you. Corsi's first novel will keep you riveted. Look for this one to be made into a Hollywood movie.
"America for Sale": Corsi blows the whistle on the globalists' plan to put America on the chopping block. While the radical Left promotes socialism and the radical Right champions unbridled free trade, valuable jobs are being outsourced, our national borders erased, and our dollar destroyed before our very eyes. Foreign investors are buying up U.S. assets, from financial-services firms to public infrastructure such as highways. We are on our way to a European Union-type North American common market and a one-world government.
"The Late Great USA": Is there really a plot to merge the U.S. with Mexico and Canada, stripping Americans of their national sovereignty in a European-style mega-state? Corsi reveals the documents that prove it. (Available in paperback or hardcover)
"The Obama Nation": This was Corsi's second No. 1 New York Times bestseller – and it nearly cost Obama the election of 2008. If you haven’t read it yet, you still don’t really understand the man in the White House.
"Atomic Iran": Everyone knows the dangers Iran poses to American security and the rest of the world. But do you know the American politicians who sold out to make this threat a reality? Find out in this Corsi classic.
"Showdown With Nuclear Iran": His followup, written with Mike Evans, focuses on the divine mission of Iran's president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, to usher in the apocalypse and thereby herald the second coming of a Shia Muslim messiah.
"Back Gold Stranglehold" written with Craig Smith: Do you believe gas and oil are in short supply? You had better read this one and learn the truth
"Minutemen" written with Jim Gilchrist: Before there was a tea party, there were the Minutemen – and the media didn't like them much either. Find out the truth about the citizens who tried to protect the border when the government refused.
There's much more in the Corsi store as well – videos, bundles and, of course, "Where's the Birth Certificate?"
Here's your chance to stock up on the works of America's favorite political writer while you're waiting for his new one to drop.

She had four Husbands
The local news station was interviewing an 80-year-old lady because she had just gotten married for the fourth time. The interviewer asked her questions about her life, about what it felt like to be marrying again at 80, and then about her new husband's occupation. "He's a funeral director," she answered. "Interesting," the newsman thought...
He then asked her if she wouldn't mind telling him a little about her first three husbands and what they did for a living. She paused for a few moments, needing time to reflect on all those years. After a short time, a smile came to her face and she answered proudly, explaining that she had first married a banker when she was in her 20's, then a circus ringmaster when in her 40's, and a preacher when in her 60's, and now - in her 80's - a funeral director.
The interviewer looked at her, quite astonished, and asked why she had married four men with such diverse careers.
(Wait for it)
She smiled and explained,
"I married one for the money, two for the show, three to get ready, and four to go."
(Oh, just hush-up and send this one on to somebody who needs a laugh.)

1936 Los Angeles County Sheriff Firearms Training Video
This 1936 video from the Los Angeles Sheriff's Dept really tells us just
how far arms training has come. It almost looks like the Keystone
Cops. I love the disclaimer at the beginning. How would you
like to buy the insurance coverage for a group like this
today?

"Ice Cream, please. Two scoops, chocolate.
This article made sense to me!
One day I had lunch with some friends. Jim, a short, balding golfer type about 80 years old, came along with them---all in all, a pleasant bunch.
When the menus were presented, we ordered salads, sandwiches, and soups, except for Jim who said, "Ice Cream, please. Two scoops, chocolate.
I wasn't sure my ears heard right, and the others were aghast. "Along with heated apple pie," Jim added, completely unabashed.
We tried to act quite nonchalant, as if people did this all the time. But when our orders were brought out, I didn't enjoy mine.
I couldn't take my eyes off Jim as his pie a-la-mode went down. The other guys couldn't believe it. They ate their lunches silently and grinned.
The next time I went out to eat, I called and invited Jim. I lunched on white meat tuna. He ordered a parfait.
I smiled. He asked if he amused me .
I answered, "Yes, you do, but also you confuse me.
How come you order rich desserts, while I feel I must be sensible? He laughed and said "I'm tasting all that is Possible.
I try to eat the food I need, and do the things I should. But life's so short, my friend, I hate missing out on something good.
This year I realized how old I was. (He grinned) I haven't been this old before."
"So, before I die, I've got to try those things that for years I had ignored.
I haven't smelled all the flowers yet. There are too many trout streams I haven't fished. There's more fudge sundaes to wolf down and kites to be flown overhead.
There are too many golf courses I haven't played. I've not laughed at all the jokes. I've missed a lot of sporting events and potato chips and cokes.
I want to wade again in water and feel ocean spray on my face . I want to sit in a country church once more and thank God for His grace.
I want peanut butter every day spread on my morning toast. I want un-timed long distance calls to the folks I love the most.
I haven't cried at all the movies yet, or walked in the morning rain. I need to feel wind on my face. I want to be in love again.
So, if I choose to have dessert, instead of having dinner, then should I die before night fall, I'd say I died a winner, because I missed out on nothing. I filled my heart's desire. I had that final chocolate mousse before my life expired."
With that, I called the waitress over. "I've changed my mind, "I said. "I want what he is having, only add some more whipped cream!"
This is my gift to you . We need an annual Friends Day! If you get this twice, then you have more than one friend. Live well, love much & laugh often . Be happy.
SHARE THIS WITH YOUR FRIENDS including me if I'm lucky enough to be counted among them.

What Love Means to 4 to 8 Year-Olds
What Love means to a 4-8 year old...
A group of professional people posed this question to a group of 4 to 8 year-olds,
'What does love mean?'
The answers were broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined.
'When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her toenails anymore.
So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love.'
Rebecca- age 8
'When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different.
You just know that your name is safe in their mouth.'
Billy - age 4
'Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving cologne and they go out and smell each other.'
Karl - age 5
'Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your French fries without making
them give you any of theirs.'
Chrissy - age 6
'Love is what makes you smile when you're tired.'
Terri - age 4
'Love is when my mommy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes a sip before giving it to him,
to make sure the taste is OK.'
Danny - age 7
'Love is when you kiss all the time. Then when you get tired of kissing, you still want to be together and you talk more. My Mommy and Daddy are like that.
They look gross when they kiss.'
Emily - age 8
'Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents
and listen.'
Bobby - age 7 (Wow!)
'If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a friend who you hate.'
Nikka - age 6
(We need a few million more Nikka's on this planet.)
'Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears it everyday.'
Noelle - age 7
'Love is like a little old woman and a little old man who are still friends even after they know each other so well.'
Tommy - age 6
'During my piano recital, I was on a stage and I was scared. I looked at all the people watching me
and saw my daddy waving and smiling.
He was the only one doing that. I wasn't scared anymore.'
Cindy - age 8
'My mommy loves me more than anybody.
You don't see anyone else kissing me to sleep at night.'
Clare - age 6
'Love is when Mommy gives Daddy the best piece of chicken.'
Elaine-age 5
'Love is when Mommy sees Daddy smelly and sweaty and still says he is handsomer than Robert Redford.'
Chris - age 7
'Love is when your puppy licks your face even after you left him alone all day.'
Mary Ann - age 4
'I know my older sister loves me because she gives me all her old clothes and has to go out and buy new ones.'
Lauren - age 4
'When you love somebody, your eyelashes go up and down and little stars come out of you.' (what an image)
Karen - age 7
'Love is when Mommy sees Daddy on the toilet and she doesn't think it's gross.'
Mark - age 6
'You really shouldn't say 'I love you' unless you mean it. But if you mean it, you should say it a lot. People forget.'
Jessica - age 8
And the final one
The winner was a four year old child whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman who had
recently lost his wife.
Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman's yard, climbed onto his lap,
and just sat there.
When his Mother asked what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy said,
'Nothing, I just helped him cry.'
When there is nothing left but God, that is when you find out that God is all you need. Take 60 seconds and give this a shot! All you do is simply say the following small prayer for the person who sent you this.
Heavenly Father, please bless all my friends in whatever it is that You know they may be needing this day!
And may their life be full of Your peace, prosperity and power as he/she seeks to have a closer
relationship with You. Amen .
Then send it on to five other people, within hours you caused a multitude of people to pray for other people. Then sit back and watch the power of God work in your life.
P. S. Five is good, but more is better.
God Bless You!

Nineteen of 20 Newtown children are white....
Newtown, CT
Nineteen of 20 Newtown children are white.
All of a sudden the 2nd amendment should be
repealed or altered.
Chicago children are mostly black.
The media is silent about Chicago violence.
WHY?
Chicago: 446 school age children shot last year with strongest gun
laws in country the media is silent.
The cesspool known as Chicago probably has the toughest gun laws in the country, yet despite all the shootings, murders, and bloodshed, you never hear a peep about this from the corrupt state run media.
In Chicago , there have been 446 school age children shot in leftist utopia run by Rahm Emanuel. 62 school aged children have actually been killed by crazed nuts in Chicago so far this year.
So why isn't this news worthy?
Is it because it would embarrass those anti second amendment nuts who brag about Chicago's tough gun laws?
Is it because most of the kids who were shot and killed were minorities?
Or is it because the corrupt media doesn't want to show Chicago in a bad light?

Flight Delays as Political Strategy
The FAA furloughs traffic controllers rather than cut other spending.
President Obama's sequester scare strategy has been a political flop, but his government keeps trying. The latest gambit is to force airline flight delays until enough travellers stuck on tarmacs browbeat enough Republicans to raise taxes again.
This week the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) began furloughing each of its air-traffic controllers for one day out of every 10 to achieve roughly $600 million in savings this fiscal year. The White House dubiously claims that the furloughs are required by the sequester spending cuts enacted in 2011.
Capitol Hill Republicans say the White House is free to make other cuts instead. House Transportation and Infrastructure Chairman Bill Shuster suggests the FAA first take a whack at the $500 million it's spending on consultants, or perhaps the $325 million it blows on supplies and travel.
In case there's any doubt about the President's ability to prioritize, at least two GOP Senators, Jerry Moran and Roy Blunt, have written bills to clarify Mr. Obama's authority to make sensible spending decisions. He's not interested, and Senate Democrats have blocked such reforms. Making smart choices about federal sending would spoil the fun of creating flight delays and then blaming Republicans.
So this week the FAA has managed to turn the first stages of a 5% budget cut into hours of delays at the nation's airports. The furloughs are landing on air-traffic controllers as much as they are on less vital FAA jobs. Officials at the Department of Transportation, the FAA's parent bureaucracy, say it would be bad for morale to impose heavier furloughs on the employees who don't direct airplanes. DOT has also ruled out any reductions in the FAA workforce to achieve the needed savings, along with most other obvious options that a private business would explore.
FAA head Michael Huerta likes to talk about the "difficult choices" he's making to satisfy the federal sequester's modest spending restraints. At least that's what he says when he's not claiming that the furloughs of air-traffic controllers are unavoidable. Well, which is it? Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood is also portraying flight delays as the inevitable result of federal spending limits.
Last week at a Senate hearing Mr. Huerta acknowledged under questioning that, in fact, his agency does have some discretion to prioritize and move funds to higher priorities from lower ones. But DOT claims it has already used this flexibility and still can't avoid cuts to air-traffic control.
Not that taxpayers should have a lot of confidence in the ability of Messrs. Huerta and LaHood to prioritize. On Monday, as flight delays were hitting travelers at airports around the country due to these allegedly unavoidable cuts, the top story on the Department of Transportation's website announced a $474 million grant program that promises to "make communities more livable and sustainable."
How about awarding grants to the control towers at Hartsfield and O'Hare? The community of air travelers would likely agree that sitting in a departure lounge at Newark Airport may be livable, but it's not sustainable.
Mr. LaHood's website on Monday also announced that "DOT launches Women in Transportation History online exhibit." No doubt all the female passengers waiting for a flight out of LAX will be ecstatic.
Senate List of TraitorS
Over the weekend, we were four votes away from the United States senate giving our constitutional rights over to the United Nations. In a 53-46 vote, the senate narrowly passed a measure that will stop the United States from entering into the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty.
The Statement of Purpose from the bill read:
To uphold Second Amendment rights and prevent the United States from entering into the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty.
The U.N. Small Arms Treaty, which has been championed by the Obama Administration, would have effectively placed a global ban on the import and export of small firearms. The ban would have affected ALL private gun owners in the U.S., and had language that would have implemented an international gun registry on all private guns and ammo.
Astonishingly, 46 of our senators were willing to give away our constitutional rights to a foreign power.
Here are the senators that voted to give your rights to the U.N.:

8th Grader Arrested — Yes, ARRESTED — for Wearing Pro-Second Amendment Shirt
4/21/2013
Filed under: General — Patterico @ 1:39 pm
Incredible.
When 8th grade Jared Marcum got dressed for school on Thursday he says he had no idea that his pro-Second Amendment shirt would initiate what he calls a fight over his First Amendment rights.
“I never thought it would go this far because honestly I don’t see a problem with this, there shouldn’t be a problem with this,” Jared said.
It was the image of a gun [actually a rifle -- Ed.] printed on Jared’s t-shirt that sparked a dispute between a Logan Middle School teacher and Jared, that ended with Jared suspended, arrested and facing two charges, obstruction and disturbing the education process, on his otherwise spotless record.
The shirt in question says: “NRA. Protect Your Rights” and depicts a hunting rifle.
Jared’s father Allen Lardieri says he’s angry he had to rush from work to pick his son up from jail over something he says was blown way out of proportion.
“I don’t see how anybody would have an issue with a hunting rifle and NRA put on a t-shirt, especially when policy doesn’t forbid it,” Lardieri said.
There is no specific school policy against the depiction of a gun on a shirt.
I have a feeling a lawsuit will be in the works once charges are dropped and apologies are made.

Education of Boston Marathon Terrorists---A MUST READ !
The Boston Marathon Terrorists – Look Into Their Education
April 19, 2013 at 10:00 pm / by Morgan Brittany

The information is pouring in now that the two Boston Marathon terrorists have been identified and the primary question on news and radio has been, “how could these boys have become so radicalized in this country?” Really? Are you kidding me? How are these so-called journalists missing one of the major pieces of the puzzle?
They need to do a little research into where these two went to school and who their teachers were. If they were “home grown” terrorists, how did it all begin? It is well documented that our schools and universities are riddled with anti-American, radical teachers and professors. It was just recently celebrated that known and admitted terrorist Bill Ayers was selected as the 2013 College of Education and Human Services“visiting scholar” at Minnesota State University Moorhead. Apparently his radical past did not bother the schools administration.
Incredulously Ayers wasn’t the only admitted “terrorist” given a prestigious position at one of America’s schools. Marxist, communist, Weather Underground radical and convicted felon,Katherine Boudin is now an adjunct professor at Columbia University and has been named the Sheinberg-Scholar in Residence at NYU Law School. Her brutal crimes are bloody and violent. She is a leftist radical who spend twenty years in prison for robbery, murder and terror. She was a community organizer and a member of the SDS, traveling to Cuba to learn more about Fidel Castro and his influence over that country.
She became a member of the Weather Underground and took part in a huge protest called the Day of Rage. Along with Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn, she attended a large meeting where discussions were held on how to launch an “offensive against the United States”. The discussions even included the killing of “white babies” and called mothers of white babies, “pig mothers”. That was just the beginning of the horrific plans she became involved with. Now she is teaching your children.
Just last fall, Professor Marie-Helen Maras from NYU, who has a Ph.D from Oxford and is also an associate professor at SUNY Farmingdale asked her students to plot a “hypothetical terrorist attack”. She asked them to factor in all aspects including “methods of execution, sources of funding, number of operatives needed and the government’s reaction”. All students were told to stay within their chosen terror groups “goals, capabilities, tactical profile, targeting pattern and operational area”. She is also teaching your children. All of this goes on and the media is silent! These people still have their jobs and we are paying the price for it in more ways than one.
It doesn’t just begin in the Universities. This cancer is starting with our youngest children. In March of this year a story broke about the mother of a fifth grader in Texas who found out that her child had taken a quiz based on a video that blamed America for the 9/11 attacks. The media virtually ignored the story and only Fox News covered it in depth.
So how did these two Boston “terrorists” become “radicalized” in this country? I am only speculating; they could have been schooled in an Al Qaeda terrorist camp overseas for all we know, but the frightening thing to remember is that every day our children are being indoctrinated into believing that America is an oppressive, evil country. When they hear this year after year, is it any wonder that they can set off a bomb at the feet of an eight-year-old child along with countless other people and walk away with no conscience?
We better wake up America and demand that treason be removed from our schools.

It really breaks your heart to know that we didn't know this goes on every Friday, well at least I didn't know. I hope this article gives you a sense of pride for what our men and women are doing for us, every day, as they serve in the armed forces here and abroad.
IT HAPPENS EVERY FRIDAY MORNING! WERE YOU AWARE?
Mornings at the Pentagon
By JOSEPH L. GALLOWAY
McClatchy Newspapers
Over the last 12 months, 1,042 soldiers, Marines, sailors and Air Force personnel have given their lives in the terrible duty that is war. Thousands more have come home on stretchers, horribly wounded and facing months or years in military hospitals.
This week, I'm turning my space over to a good friend and former roommate, Army Lt. Col.. Robert Bateman, who recently completed a yearlong tour of duty and is now back at the Pentagon.
Here's Lt. Col. Bateman's account of a little-known ceremony that fills the halls of the Army corridor of the Pentagon with cheers, applause and many tears every Friday morning. It first appeared on May 17 on the Weblog of media critic and pundit Eric Altermanat the Media Matters for America Website.
"It is 110 yards from the "E" ring to the "A" ring of the
Pentagon. This section of the Pentagon is newly renovated;
the floors shine, the hallway is broad, and the lighting is bright. At this instant the entire length of the corridor is packed with officers, a few sergeants and some civilians, all crammed tightly three and four deep against the walls.
There are thousands here. This hallway, more than any other, is the `Army' hallway.
The G3 offices line one side, G2 the other, G8 is around the corner. All Army. Moderate conversations flow in a low buzz. Friends who may not have seen each other for a few weeks, or a few years, spot each other, cross the way and renew.
Everyone shifts to ensure an open path remains down the center. The air conditioning system was not designed for this press of bodies in this area.
The temperature is rising already. Nobody cares. "10:36 hours: The clapping starts at the E-Ring. That is the outermost of the five rings of the Pentagon and it is closest to the entrance to the building. This clapping is low, sustained, hearty. It is applause with a deep emotion behind it as it moves forward in a wave down the length of the hallway.
A steady rolling wave of sound it is, moving at the pace of the soldier in the wheelchair who marks the forward edge with his presence. He is the first. He is missing the greater part of one leg, and some of his wounds are still suppurating.
By his age I expect that he is a private, or perhaps a private first class.
Captains, majors, lieutenant colonels and colonels meet his gaze and nod as they applaud, soldier to soldier. Three years ago when I described one of these events, those lining the hallways were somewhat different. The applause a little wilder, perhaps in private guilt for not having shared in the burden ... Yet.
Now almost everyone lining the hallway is, like the man in the wheelchair, also a combat veteran. This steadies the applause, but I think deepens the sentiment. We have all been there now. The soldier's chair is pushed by, I believe, a full colonel.
"Behind him, and stretching the length from Rings E to A,
come more of his peers, each private, corporal, or sergeant
assisted as need be by a field grade officer.
"11:00 hours: Twenty-four minutes of steady applause. My
hands hurt, and I laugh to myself at how stupid that sounds
in my own head. My hands hurt. Please! Shut up and clap.
For twenty-four minutes, soldier after soldier has come down
this hallway - 20, 25, 30.. Fifty-three legs come with them,
and perhaps only 52 hands or arms, but down this hall
came 30 solid hearts.
"They pass down this corridor of officers and applause, and
then meet for a private lunch, at which they are the guests
of honor, hosted by the generals. Some are wheeled along.
Some insist upon getting out of their chairs, to march as best
they can with their chin held up, down this hallway, through
this most unique audience. Some are catching handshakes
and smiling like a politician at a Fourth of July parade.
More than a couple of them seem amazed and are smiling
shyly.
"There are families with them as well: the 18-year-old
war-bride pushing her 19-year-old husband's wheelchair
and not quite understanding why her husband is so affected
by this, the boy she grew up with, now a man, who had never
shed a tear is crying; the older immigrant Latino parents
who have, perhaps more than their wounded mid-20s son,
an appreciation for the emotion given on their son's behalf.
No man in that hallway, walking or clapping, is ashamed by
the silent tears on more than a few cheeks. An Airborne
Ranger wipes his eyes only to better see. A couple of the
officers in this crowd have themselves been a part of this
parade in the past.
"These are our men, broken in body they may be, but they
are our brothers, and we welcome them home. This parade
has gone on, every single Friday, all year long, for more
than four years.
Did you know that? I didn't.
Don't send it back to me, just be a Patriot and
send it on its way as you see fit.

Sign at a Gun Show
"My brother and I went to the Gun Show at Reliant Center Saturday, Jan.19, 2013.
An all-day big show and lots of guns. Looked like people buying mostly hand guns and a lot were just looking, as we were. Thousands of people hundreds signing up and joining the NRA - wow!
The best sign I saw there was at a booth that read :
"IF YOU VOTED FOR OBAMA, WE DO NOT WANT YOUR BUSINESS.
YOU'RE TOO DAMN STUPID TO HAVE A FIREARM!"
Now this is a real background check...
What Does This Word Mean? "Dhimmitude"
What does this word Mean?
.Dhimmitude –
I had never heard the word until now.
Type it intoGoogle and start reading.
Pretty interesting.
It's on page 107 of the healthcare bill.
I looked this up on Google and yep, it exists.. It is a REAL word.
Dhimmitude is the Muslim system of controlling non-Muslim populations conquered through jihad (Holy War). Specifically, it is the TAXING of non-Muslims in exchange for tolerating their presence AND as a coercive means of converting conquered remnants to Islam.
ObamaCare allows the establishment of Dhimmitudeand Sharia Muslim diktat in the United States . Muslims are specifically exempted from the government mandate to purchase insurance, and also from the penalty tax for being uninsured. Islam considers insurance to be "gambling", "risk-taking", and "usury" and is thus banned. Muslims are specificallygranted exemption based on this.
How convenient. So I, as a Christian, will have crippling IRS liens placed against all of my assets, including real estate, cattle, and even accounts receivable, and will face hard prison time because I refuse to buy insurance or pay the penalty tax. Meanwhile, Louis Farrakhan will have no such penalty and will have 100% of his health insurance needs paid for by the de facto government insurance. Non-Muslims will be paying a tax to subsidize Muslims. This is Dhimmitude.
I recommend sending this on to your contacts.
American citizens need to know about it --

Jesus Loves Me (for Seniors)
While watching a little TV on Sunday instead of going to church, I watched a Church in Atlanta honoring one of its senior pastors who had been retired many years. He was 92 at that time and I wondered why the Church even bothered to ask the old gentleman to preach at that age. After a warm welcome, introduction of this speaker, and as the applause quieted down he rose from his high back chair and walked slowly, with great effort and a sliding gait to the podium. Without a note or written paper of any kind he placed both hands on the pulpit to steady himself and then quietly and slowly he began to speak....
"When I was asked to come here today and talk to you, your pastor asked me to tell you what was the greatest lesson ever learned in my 50 odd years of preaching. I thought about it for a few days and boiled it down to just one thing that made the most difference in my life and sustained me through all my trials. The one thing that I could always rely on when tears and heart break and pain and fear and sorrow paralyzed me... The only thing that would comfort was this verse.........
"Jesus loves me this I know.
For the Bible tells me so.
Little ones to Him belong,
We are weak but He is strong.....
Yes, Jesus loves me...
The Bible tells me so."
When he finished, the church was quiet. You actually could hear his footsteps as he shuffled back to his chair. I don't believe I will ever forget it. A pastor once stated,
"I always noticed that it was the adults who chose the children's hymn 'Jesus Loves Me' (for the children of course) during a hymn sing, and it was the adults who sang the loudest because I could see they knew it the best."
"Senior version of Jesus Loves Me"
Here is a new version just for us who have white hair or no hair at all. For us over middle age (or even those almost there) and all you others, check out this newest version of Jesus Loves Me.
JESUS LOVES ME
Jesus loves me, this I know,
Though my hair is white as snow
Though my sight is growing dim,
Still He bids me trust in Him.
(CHORUS)
YES, JESUS LOVES ME.. YES, JESUS LOVES ME..
YES, JESUS LOVES ME, THE BIBLE TELLS ME SO.
Though my steps are oh, so slow,
With my hand in His I'll go
On through life, let come what may,
He'll be there to lead the way.
(CHORUS)
When the nights are dark and long,
In my heart He puts a song.
Telling me in words so clear,
"Have no fear, for I am near."
(CHORUS)
When my work on earth is done,
And life's victories have been won.
He will take me home above,
Then I'll understand His love
(CHORUS)
I love Jesus, does He know?
Have I ever told Him so?
Jesus loves to hear me say,
That I love Him every day.
(CHORUS)
If you think this is neat, please pass it on to your friends. If you do not pass it on, nothing bad will happen, but you will have missed an opportunity to "Reach out and Touch" a friend or a loved one.
God Bless Us All !!!
Every day is a gift .. that's why it's called the Present :-)
