When this TV spot targeting New Hampshire Democrat Sen. Jeanne Shaheen first dropped, the Washington Post's Chris Cillizza quickly dubbed it"the ad every Democrat should be scared of in 2014." Dr. Monica Wehby -- a Republican medical doctor vying to challenge Sen. Jeff Merkley in Oregon -- is up with a new web ad that raps her would-be opponent on the same theme:
"If you like it, it will absolutely be there," Merkley assured consitutuents in 2009. Except...it won't for approximately 4-to-6 million Americans, and counting. The Wehby video drives this point home with testimonials from average people, as well as a citation of Politifact's 2013 Lie of the Year determination. Merkley isn't widely viewed as one of the Senate's more vulnerable Democrats, but he's certainly behaving like a jittery incumbent. If he ends up facing a bright, female opponent with the letters "M.D." after her name in the general election, he may face some tough sledding -- especially if she keeps the spotlight on Obamacare. In Oregon, the Democrats' signature law has been beset by a particularly egregious number oftechnological and data security embarrassments. For more analysis of the 2014 Senate landscape, be sure to check out my feature piece in the current edition ofTownhall Magazine. Elsewhere in Obamacare news, customers are still coming to grips with the law's increased out-of-pocket costs and higher premiums. Jim Geraghty aggregates a few early 2014 stories about consumer and taxpayer headaches. "Affordability" in New Jersey:
Glitches in Minnesota:
A taxpayer "surprise" in Delaware:
Expect these "unexpected" developments to plague the states that chose to expand Medicaid -- which is already an empirical failure -- through Obamacare. Meanwhile, we already know that millions fewer Americans are insured today than were covered last year, due to the first round of dropped coverage. (Recall that this law was intended to reduce the ranks of America's uninsured while lowering premiums and reducing overall healthcare spending). Of the roughly two millionwho have supposedly "selected plans" through the exchanges -- still dramatically short of the administration's targets -- how many have actually obtained coverage? This process requires receiving confirmation from one's insurer and paying the first month's premiums. The administration can't or won't say, but various reports suggest that the percentage of paid-up consumers is hovering at 50 percent or lower. The payment deadline in order to receive coverage in January has been bumped back from December 23rd to December 31st to January 10th. Who wants to bet another delay is in the pipeline? I'll leave you with Phil Klein explaining whythe White House's enrollment numbers are garbage:
WaPo's lefty Wonk Blog told its readers that raw enrollment figures really aren't that important compared to each exchange attracting a sustainable percentage of young, healthy participants. Now that the latter proposition is looking rather iffy, Wonk Blog has decided that it really isn't so critical after all.

Anyone seen new ideas floating around at the state level designed with minimizing these risks in mind?
U would think after the hurricane catastrophe fund that did nothing for our ho ins but raise the rates along with out of control hurricane deductibles along with the high motorist fees he would of never been reelected in the first place???? never mind the political bull he was and is spinning with obama care??? Lets see if the political pawns wake up in 2019???????
Not only has the DNC the backing of 95% of all the media, including Hollywood, TV, print and almost everything but talk radio. They also have the entire Federal work force, now abusing their powers to front for the DNC campaigns, holding back anyone not drinking the kool-aid. Then there are the unions, a massive collection of public sector (tax payer funded) folks, that due to Congress are required in most states to do as they are told by their unions, or don’t work. Hundreds of thousands of get out the vote, door knockers and voter registration goons, not to mention the half a billion in direct money aid. (That Congress will replenish if re-elected, from the US treasury) Unions are exempt from most fraud laws, due to good Democrat passing laws.

The Reason Barack Obama mandated that 'ALL' other types of light bulbs (other than ObamaApproved lightbulbs) be banned, is to protect consumers from pollution.
Remember the 'NEW' ObamaApproved lightbulbs designed to reduce pollution, can be very dangerous to Humans and pets should they break because of the pollutants they contain.
The Barack Obama Administration has issued these guidelines should you accidentally break an ObamaApproved lightbulb.
Before Cleanup:
1) Have people and pets leave the room.
2) Air out the room for 5-10 minutes by opening a window or door to the outdoor environment.
3) Shut off the central forced air heating/air-conditioning system, if you have one.
Collect materials needed to clean up broken bulb:
a. stiff paper or cardboard;
b. sticky tape;
c. damp paper towels or disposable wet wipes (for hard surfaces); and
d. a glass jar with a metal lid or a sealable plastic bag.
During Cleanup
DO NOT VACUUM. Vacuuming is not recommended unless broken glass remains after all other cleanup steps have been taken. Vacuuming could spread mercury-containing powder or mercury vapor.
Be thorough in collecting broken glass and visible powder. Scoop up glass fragments and powder using stiff paper or cardboard. Use sticky tape, such as duct tape, to pick up any remaining small glass fragments and powder. Place the used tape in the glass jar or plastic bag. See the detailed cleanup instructions for more information, and for differences in cleaning up hard surfaces versus carpeting or rugs.
Place cleanup materials in a sealable container.
After Cleanup
1) Promptly place all bulb debris and cleanup materials, including vacuum cleaner bags, outdoors in a trash container or protected area until materials can be disposed of. Avoid leaving any bulb fragments or cleanup materials indoors.
2) Next, check with your local government about disposal requirements in your area, because some localities require fluorescent bulbs (broken or unbroken) be taken to a local recycling center. If there is no such requirement in your area, you can dispose of the materials with your household trash.
If practical, continue to air out the room where the bulb was broken and leave the heating/air conditioning system shut off for several hours.
