Somebody has to be the first to say it.
It’s time, for the sake of the security of the United States of America, to immediately suspend Muslim immigration, to preclude Muslims from service in our military and to stop the building of mosques.
(The matters of Muslim military service and the building of mosques will need to be subjects of future columns.)
It should go without saying that I am speaking just for myself here. But these possibilities must be addressed and discussed in a sober fashion. The reality is that we will wind up doing these three things out of necessity if we do not do them out of wisdom. We need to make these adjustments before it’s too late rather than after it’s too late.
We should suspend Muslim immigration into the United States immediately. Why? Because Muslims bring with them a totalitarian ideology that calls for the submission of the United States to Islam and Sharia law.
Pew released its findings yesterday on its worldwide survey of Muslims, and revealed that two-thirds of Middle Eastern Muslims believe in the death penalty for any Muslim who converts to Christianity, and one-third believe in suicide bombings. This is not a religion of peace or liberty. Every tenet of Islam is fundamentally, irreversibly, subversively and implacably hostile to every value we cherish in America.
Muslim immigrants bring with them a totalitarian ideology whose holy book calls for the followers of Allah to “slay the idolaters wherever you find them” (Sura 9:5). The more devout a Muslim becomes, the more likely he is to obey such a command, as Tamerlan Tsarnaev illustrates, and the more of a threat he becomes to the security of the United States and the safety of the American people.
When I first began calling for an end to Muslim immigration in 2009, I was virtually a lone voice crying in the wilderness. But Andy McCarthy has since called for the suspension of immigration from Muslim majority nations, and Frank Gaffney of the Center for Security Policy has called for precluding “shariah-adherent Muslims” from our shores, in a fashion similar to our post WWII ban on immigrants who adhered to communist ideology.
Since the Boston Muslim Massacre, Laura Ingraham has called for a ban on Muslim immigration, and more significantly, John McCain just yesterday suggested restrictions on immigration from countries with a “significant influence of radical Islamic extremism.” Both Marco Rubio and Rand Paul have openly called for considering the suspension of student visas to Muslim males.
Suspending Muslim immigration to the United States is an idea whose time has come.
Dutch parliamentarian Geert Wilders, based on Europe’s bitter experience with virtually unrestricted Muslim immigration, has been calling for this for years, and imploring America to wake up and small the Sharia before we become we seal our doom.
Of course, the majority of Muslim immigrants do not want to kill us, but they are not the Muslims we have to worry about. The problem is we have no way of distinguishing the Muslims we do have to worry about from the ones we don’t. And we can’t watch them all.
Dzokhar Tsarnaev is a case in point. All of his friends and classmates said he was quiet, fun, one of us, and so forth. They all expressed shock that he went jihad on Americans. The only way to have prevented him from participating in the Boston Muslim Massacre would have been not to allow him in the country in the first place.
While this may seem unfair to Muslims who have no hostile intentions toward us, that is not our fault. The blame for such a blanket policy lies with the Muslims who do have hostile intentions toward us and have been responsible for no less than 55 terrorist attempts on our soil since 9/11. If friendly Muslims are looking for someone to blame for being unable to enter the U.S., that is where their finger should point.
Is banning Muslim immigration constitutional? Of course it is. No one has a right, constitutional or otherwise, to immigrate to the United States. In our system of government, immigration rules are the exclusive province of Congress. One of its express powers of action, as set forth in Article I, Section 8, is “To establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization.”
In Kleindienst v. Mandel (1972), (Mandel was a Marxist ideologue) the Supreme Court affirmed that “the power to exclude aliens is ‘inherent in sovereignty, necessary for maintaining normal international relations and defending the country against foreign encroachments and dangers – a power to be exercised exclusively by the political branches of government’ . . . .The Court without exception has sustained Congress’ ‘plenary power to make rules for the admission of aliens and to exclude those who possess those characteristics which Congress has forbidden’…[O]ver no conceivable subject is the legislative power of Congress more complete than it is over the admission of aliens’…The power of Congress to exclude aliens altogether from the United States, or to prescribe the terms and conditions upon which they may come to this country, and to have its declared policy in that regard enforced exclusively through executive officers, without judicial intervention, is settled by our previous adjudications.” (Emphasis mine.)
Bottom line: Congress can ban Muslim immigration if it wants to. And it should.

The school loved it.
The principal thanked him.
No pay...no breaks...just his heart felt need to do this.
His reward?
Marine Corp Reservists says he violated protocol by wearing his fatigues and not his dress uniform in public.
Facing $10,000 fine and 5 years in prison.
Also getting a "dishonorable" stamp on his "honorable" discharge.
He served 2 tours in Iraq, in Baghdad and Ramadi.
One in Helmand province of Afghanistan before leaving active duty.
Now he is writing a letter to the President apologizing for his actions.
WAKE UP AMERICA!
This man is a wonderful outstanding brave hero in my book and to think for a second that his heart felt need to go stand in front of his “little neighborhood school” was wrong.
The President should be sending him a Thank you letter.
So I salute you Sgt. Craig Pusley.

Companies line up to drill after survey shows Dakota oil, gas fields far bigger than believed

WASHINGTON – Energy companies are lining up for their shot to drill in the Dakotas and Montana after a new government report revealed that a massive geological formation stretching across the states contains twice the oil and three times the amount of natural gas than was originally believed.
While the new estimate is drawing smaller companies to the game, the larger players like Schlumberger, Halliburton and Continental Resources are pushing forward with ambitious multi-year plans to stake their claim in the industry.
Continental recently announced a five-year plan to triple its production by 2017. The company’s growth is based on success in North Dakota and Montana as well as in parts of Oklahoma.
The dash to drill follows news from the government on how much more oil and natural gas there is to tap.
“These world-class formations contain even more energy resource potential than previously understood, which is important information as we continue to reduce our nation’s dependence on foreign sources of oil,” newly confirmed Interior Secretary Sally Jewell said Tuesday in a statement.
The new U.S. Geological Survey estimates there are 7.4 billion barrels of oil, 6.7 trillion cubic feet of natural gas and 0.53 billion barrels of natural gas liquids in the Bakken and Three Forks Formations in the Williston Basin Province of Montana, North Dakota and South Dakota.
Since 2008, close to 450 million barrels of oil have been produced in the area and if the government estimates are correct, that leaves billions of barrels of oil and trillions more cubic feet of natural gas left for the taking.
That’s good news for North Dakota -- a state that’s already reaped big benefits from the oil boom and has one of the strongest state economies in the country coupled with an exceptionally low unemployment rate. Tax revenues from natural gas and oil hit $1 billion last year in North Dakota and the state is on track to double that number next year.
Republican Sen. John Hoeven believes numbers from the new USGS survey will draw even more developers to the area.
“This will mean a lot of jobs,” he told FoxNews.com. “Financially we are already very strong, we have no debt, but this will mean a lot more. Stores, restaurants, movie theaters – we’ll have to build and we’ll have to hire workers.”
The competition to court employees is already on at the McDonalds in Dickinson, N.D. where prospective hires are being lured in with $300 signing bonuses, Hoeven said.
Calls to McDonalds Corp. for comment were not immediately returned.
Some environmental experts like John Harju, associate director for research with the Energy and Environmental Research Center at the University of North Dakota, believe the possibilities are even greater than what the government forecasts.
“Like any of these USGS estimates, think of them as a milemarker that’s well behind you in the rearview mirror,” he told the Grand Forks Herald in North Dakota.
Still, not everyone is as gung-ho as Hoeven about drilling for natural gas, and the controversial process known as fracking used to access it.
The government hopes to calm some opposition to natural gas by releasing a set of draft rules to regulate hydraulic fracturing, or fracking. The process involves injecting a high-pressure mix of water, sand and chemicals deep into rock formations to release trapped oil and gas.
Supporters say the drilling method should continue and is credited for the country’s domestic energy boom. They say fracking gives the country a chance to cut its dependence on foreign oil.
Environmental groups have long objected to the practice and say it pollutes the groundwater and kills crops and livestock. They also argue that fracking releases heat-trapping methane gas into the air.
But in mid-April, the Environmental Protection Agency dramatically lowered its estimate of how much methane leaks during natural gas production. The agency said that tighter pollution controls put in place by the industry from 1990 to 2010 cut the country’s average of methane emissions by more than 850 million metric tons overall, or about 41.6 million metric tons annually. That’s a 20 percent decrease from previous EPA estimates – a decrease that took place as natural gas production in the country grew by nearly 40 percent in the past two decades.
It is not clear exactly when the government will release its fracking regulations, but it is expected in the next few weeks.

Navy unveils first squadron of drones amid debate over use in warfare

CORONADO, CALIF. – The Navy is inaugurating its first squadron with unmanned aircraft, formally adopting drone technology amid debate over its growing use in warfare.
Military officials will launch the maritime strike squadron called "Magicians" on Thursday at the Naval Air Station North Island base on Coronado, near San Diego.
The squadron will have eight manned helicopters and a still-to-be-determined number of the Fire Scout MQ-8 B, an unmanned helicopter that can fly 12 continuous hours, tracking targets.
Lt. Aaron Kakiel says the squadron will be aboard the Navy's new littoral combat ship in about a year.
He says most Navy drones now are operated by contractors overseen by military personnel.
The squadron's creation comes 100 years after the formation of the first Navy air detachment.
The Air Force has various drone squadrons.

While driving across Arizona a few weeks ago, I observed an Arizona Highway patrolman parked on the side of the freeway with his lights flashing for no apparent reason. I soon reasoned that he was probably waiting for some unsuspecting soul to violate the new law. Beware my friend.
From the size of that fine it seems like it would be best to slow down to 20 MPH under the speed limit AND move over.
I was aware of the move over to outer lane and knew to slow down, but I didn't know about the 20 mph under speed limit. .......Thought maybe this might be good information to pass on.

This happened to my aunt on the four lane right outside of Dyersburg , TN a few months ago.Her ticket was over $300 and it cost her three points on her license, too. A state trooper and a county cop had someone else pulled over. She slowed down and moved over a little, but not all the way into the other lane. The trooper wasn't understanding at all. Mom was with her and she didn't know about the law either.
NEW TRAFFIC LAW - 2010: If a patrol car is pulled over to the side of the road, you have to change to the next lane (away from the stopped vehicle) OR slow down to at least 20 mph under the posted speed limit. Every state and the D.C. has this law. In Hawaii, the Move-over law became effective on July 10, 2012. In California, the Move-over law became operative on January 1, 2010.
A friend's son got a ticket for this recently. A police car (turned out it was two police cars) was on the side of the road giving a ticket to someone else. He slowed down to pass but did not move into the other lane. The second police car immediately pulled him over and gave him a ticket. He had never heard of the law. It is a fairly new law that states if any emergency vehicle is on the side of the road, if you are able,
you are to move into the far lane.The cost of the ticket was $754, with three points on his license and a mandatory court appearance.
Please let every-one you know who drives about this new law. It is true (see details at the following web addresses).This same law applies to tow trucks and medical emergency vehicles like ambulances on the side of the road.

Corsi told WND history may have conveniently forgotten the ACLU's original objective, but his new book, "Bad Samaritans: The ACLU's Relentless Campaign to Erase Faith from the Public Square," digs up what the ACLU doesn't want you to remember.
"The book exposes the roots of ACLU in the 1920s among socialists and communists who were opposing World War I," Corsi told WND. "It's founder, Roger Baldwin, was a draft resister in 1917 who went to prison. Among the early board members were outright communists, including William Foster, who was at one time the general secretary of the Communist Party USA and wrote the book 'Toward Soviet America.'
"The initial impulse of the ACLU was to fight for a definition of civil liberties that lined up with atheist, communist ideals," Corsi continued. "Primary among the objectives was to eliminate God. [Communist philosopher Karl] Marx's idea was that religion was the 'opiate of the people,' so the idea of God had to be broken down to establish the basis for communism, namely scientific materialism, which clashed with the religious conviction of America's Founding Fathers, who believed our rights were inalienable, granted by God, and chief among those was freedom of religion."
Thus, rather than defending the freedoms enshrined in the Bill of Rights, as many today believe the ACLU does, the group's goal has been from the beginning to destroy the very basis for those rights, which, as the Declaration of Independence explains, are "endowed by our Creator."
In fact, Corsi contends, the First Amendment protecting freedom of religion, rather than being sacrosanct to the ACLU, actually stands in its way.
"Through a good public relations job over the years, the ACLU has tried to represent itself as defending liberties," Corsi told WND. "Most people don't know its real history, haven't studied the cases it championed, don't understand the extent to which it has advanced not civil liberties, but an extreme leftist agenda."

Corsi pointed to one of the ACLU's first cases, the Scopes "monkey" trial of 1925, in which the ACLU brought its own Clarence Darrow to defend John Scopes, accused of illegally teaching evolution at a Tennessee high school. But more importantly than defending Scopes, Corsi contends, was the ACLU's intent to attack biblical Christianity.
"Darrow, the ACLU attorney, was trying to pit evolutionary science as knowledge and reason against the intellectual 'prejudice' of the Bible – in other words, to make the case only stupid people believe in the Bible," Corsi told WND. "The whole idea, perpetuated later by the movie 'Inherit the Wind,' was to establish in the public mind the primacy of science and human reason, these are the things the left looks to transplant belief in God and religious morals.
"That kind of case was the ACLU trying to get God banned from schools, education, from the public square," Corsi continued, "but not by attacking the First Amendment head on, rather by attacking religion as a prejudice that violated 'civil liberties.'"
The founding principles of the ACLU, however, haven't been relegated to the dustbin of history, Corsi contends, but have continued in a steady march for nearly 100 years.
"Bad Samaritans" lays out in a straightforward, no-nonsense style a pattern Corsi contends demonstrates the ACLU has not only undermined the First Amendment, but also conducted a "war on God." As recently as March 2013, for example, the ACLU brought forth cases to challenge a portrait of Jesus Christ at a middle school in Ohio, a North Carolina county has been sued over its traditional Christian invocations at meetings and Mississippi's pending school prayer law is being threatened.
"Since the organization was created in 1920, so many constitutional battles have been lost to the ACLU that time has grown short to stop the onslaught," the publisher's release asserts. "Over its history the ACLU has been the archetypical bad Samaritan – a stranger to the nation's religious tradition, whose founders instilled within the organization values designed to erase all vestiges of the nation's Judeo-Christian roots. … Even more insidiously, the ACLU strategy devised by its founders was predicated on a determination to wage its war on God in a stealth fashion in which the ACLU intends to destroy religious freedom by appearing on the scene as a defender of religious freedom."
"For decades, the Bad Samaritan of the ACLU has beaten and robbed the First Amendment's statement of religious freedom to the point that Judeo-Christian believers have been left lying by the side of the road, as if abandoned to die," notes Corsi. "As our Founding Fathers aptly reminded us, only a moral people can preserve the liberty required to build a bright future for America in which individual initiative and free enterprise can thrive once again.
"The point of the 'Bad Samaritans' book is that the hour is late, but the battle is not yet lost," explains Corsi. "It's not intended as a comprehensive compendium of Supreme Court cases dealing with religion. Instead, I want to unmask the ACLU's hypocritical facade of defending civil liberties that the organization strives to sell to a secular public unable to appreciate how deeply liberty will be lost if God is abandoned.
"I will expose the secret history of the ACLU in order to encourage supporters of our faith to enter the war on God's side," Corsi concluded. "We must win the war against our faith if we are to preserve for future generations the heritage of liberty our Founding Fathers so generously left for us. If the ACLU wins its war on God, our founding documents – including the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights – will not be worth the parchment on which they were written."
