Dear Concerned Patriots, Here's the bottom line for residents on the Debt Super Committee which convenes as soon as next week. is not represented on the committee, meaning citizens are facing taxation without representation. One of the fundamental principles of our American form of government is that YOU have representation in decisions of taxation. Remember the FIRST TEA PARTY? Starting next week, citizens in and 38 other states will not be represented on the Super Committee and will therefore have no voice in the Committee's plan which pundits now agree will include tax increases. + + Petition Delivery Next Thursday Next Thursday, Grassfire Nation will be delivering petitions to Congress from citizens who oppose the Debt Super Committee. The Super Committee's conclusions must come up for an "up or down" vote with no opportunity for Senate filibuster. Majority rules! In essence, votes from seven Super Committee members will prevail. That means seven members of Congress (including Senators) have been empowered to raise taxes when the Constitution stipulates that all revenue bills must originate in the House.
