The Wooden Bowl ...

*The Wooden Bowl. I guarantee you will remember the tale of the Wooden Bowl
tomorrow, a week from now, a month from now, a year from now.*

* A frail old man went to live with his son, daughter-in-law, and four-year*
*-**old grandson.*
*The old man's hands trembled, his eyesight was blurred, and his step
faltered*

*The family ate together at the table. But the elderly grandfather's shaky
hands and*
*failing sight made eating difficult. Peas rolled off his spoon onto the
floor.*

*When he grasped the glass, milk spilled on the tablecloth. The son and
daughter-in-law became irritated with the mess. 'We must do something
about father,' said the son.*

*'I've had enough of his spilled milk, noisy eating, and food on the
floor.' So the husband and wife set a small table in the corner.*
*There, Grandfather ate alone while the rest of the family enjoyed dinner.*

*Since Grandfather had broken a dish or two, his food was served in a
wooden bowl. When the family glanced in Grandfather's direction, sometimes
he had a tear in his eye as he sat alone.*

*Still, the only words the couple had for him were sharp admonitions when
he dropped a fork or spilled food. The four-year-old watched it all in
silence.*

* One evening before supper, the father noticed his son playing with wood
scraps on the floor.*
*He asked the child sweetly, 'What are you making?' Just as sweetly, the
boy responded,*

*'Oh, I am making a little bowl for you and Mama to eat your food in when I
grow up. ' The four-year-old smiled and went back to work.. The words so
struck the parents so that they were speechless. Then tears started to
stream down their cheeks. Though no word was spoken, both knew what must be
done. That evening the husband took Grandfather's hand and gently led him
back to the family table.*
*For the remainder of his days he ate every meal with the family. And for
some reason,*

*neither husband nor wife seemed to care any longer when a fork was
dropped, milk spilled, or the tablecloth soiled. On a positive note, I've
learned that, no matter what happens, how bad it seems today, life does go
on, and it will be better tomorrow. I've learned that you can tell a lot
about a person by the way he/she handles four things:*

*a rainy day, the elderly, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree
lights. I've learned that making a 'living' is not the same thing as
making a 'life..' I've learned that life sometimes gives you a second
chance. I've learned that you shouldn't go through life with a catcher's
mitt on both hands. You need to be able to throw* *somethingback*
*sometimes.*

*I've learned that if you pursue happiness, it will elude you*
*But, if you focus on your family, your friends, the needs of others,*

*your work and doing the very best you can, happiness will find you I've
learned that whenever I decide something with an open heart, I usually make
the right decision. I've learned that even when I have pains, I don't have
to be one. I've learned that every day, you should reach out and touch
someone. People love that human touch -- holding hands, a warm hug, or
just a friendly pat on the back. I've learned that I still have a lot to
learn. I've learned that you should pass this on to everyone you care
about .I just did.*

A German's View on Islam ...

Hard to argue with this:

A  German's View on Islam - worth reading. This is one of the best explanations of the Muslim terrorist situation I have ever read. His references to past history are accurate and clear. Not long, easy to understand, and well worth the read. The author of this email is Dr. Emanuel Tanya, a well-known and well-respected psychiatrist.    A man, whose family was German aristocracy prior to World War II, owned a number of large industries and  estates. When asked how many German people were true Nazis, the answer he gave can guide our attitude toward fanaticism.

'Very few people were true Nazis,' he said, 'but many enjoyed the return of German pride, and many  more were too busy to care. I was one of those who just thought the Nazis were a bunch of fools. So, the majority just sat back and let it all happen. Then, before we knew it, they owned us, and we had lost control, and the end of the world had come.'

'My family lost everything. I ended up in a concentration camp and the Allies destroyed my factories.'

'We are told again and again by 'experts' and 'talking heads' that Islam is a religion of peace and that the vast majority of Muslims just want to live in peace. Although this unqualified assertion may be true, it is entirely irrelevant. It is meaningless fluff meant to make us feel better, and meant to somehow diminish the specter of fanatics rampaging across the globe in the name of Islam.'

'The fact is that the fanatics rule Islam at this moment in history. It is the fanatics who march. It is  the fanatics who wage any one of 50 shooting wars worldwide. It is the fanatics who systematically slaughter Christian or tribal groups throughout Africa and are gradually taking over the entire continent in an Islamic wave. It is the fanatics who bomb, behead, murder, or honor-kill. It is the fanatics who take over mosque after mosque. It is the fanatics who zealously spread the stoning and hanging of rape victims and homosexuals. It is the fanatics who teach their young to kill and to become suicide bombers.'

'The hard, quantifiable fact is that the peaceful majority, the 'silent majority,' is cowed and  extraneous. Communist Russia was comprised of Russians who just wanted to live in peace, yet the Russian Communists were responsible for the murder of about 20 million people. The peaceful majority were irrelevant. China 's huge population was peaceful as well, but Chinese Communists managed to kill a staggering 70 million people.'

'The average Japanese individual prior to World War II was not a warmongering sadist. Yet, Japan murdered and slaughtered its way across South East Asia in an orgy of killing that included the systematic murder of 12 million Chinese civilians; most killed by sword, shovel, and bayonet. And who can forget Rwanda , which collapsed into butchery? Could it not be said that the majority of Rwandans were 'peace loving'?

'History lessons are often  incredibly simple and blunt, yet for all our powers of reason, we often miss the most basic and uncomplicated of points: peace-loving Muslims have been made irrelevant by their silence. Peace-loving Muslims will become our enemy if they don't speak up, because like my friend from Germany , they will awaken one day and find that the fanatics own them, and the end of their world will  have begun.'

'Peace-loving Germans, Japanese, Chinese, Russians, Rwandans, Serbs, Afghans, Iraqis, Palestinians, Somalis, Nigerians, Algerians, and many others have died because the peaceful majority did not speak up until it was too late.'

'Now Islamic prayers have been  introduced in Toronto and other public  schools in Ontario , and, yes, in  Ottawa ,  too, while the Lord's Prayer was removed (due to being so offensive?). The  Islamic way may be peaceful for the time being in our country until the  fanatics move in.'

'In Australia , and indeed in many countries around the world, many of the most commonly consumed food items have the halal emblem on them. Just look at the back of some of the most popular chocolate bars, and at other food items in your local supermarket. Food on aircraft have the halal emblem just to appease the privileged minority who are now rapidly expanding within the nation's shores.'

'In the U.K, the Muslim communities refuse to integrate and there are now dozens of "no-go" zones within major cities across the country that the police force dare not  intrude upon. Sharia law prevails there, because the Muslim community in those areas refuse to acknowledge British law.'

'As for us who watch it all unfold, we must pay attention to the only group that counts - the fanatics who threaten our way of life.'

Lastly, anyone who doubts that the issue is serious and just deletes this email without  sending it on, is contributing to the passiveness that allows the problems to expand.

Extend yourself a bit and send  this on. Let us hope that thousands world-wide read this, think about it,  and send it on before it's too late, and we are silenced because we were  silent!!!

BATTLEGROUND POLL SHOWS DEMS DOWN BY 18 POINTS! #Vote-11-4-2014 #Take Back America

BATTLEGROUND POLL SHOWS DEMS DOWN BY 18 POINTS
If this week’s polling is any evidence, Democrats are facing an even tougher road come November. With President Obama’s approvalsinking below former president George W. Bush’s, the latest Fox News poll finds Republicans hold the advantage as they seek to reclaim the Senate. In states with active U.S. Senate races, likely voters say they would back the Republican a 9-point margin. And when looking at the results in just the 14 Fox News battleground states the GOP edge widens to 18-point margin.  Fox News: “The president recently claimed that ‘by almost every measure’ the nation’s economy and American workers are better off now than when he took office. Voters dismiss his boast as ‘mostly false’ by a 58-36 percent margin. That includes 37 percent of Democrats who think it doesn’t ring true.”

[The battleground list: Arkansas, Colorado, Georgia, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, North Carolina, New Hampshire, South Dakota and West Virginia]

Dem base cracks up - WaPo: “Women surveyed [in the WaPo/ABC News poll] said they disapprove of [President Obama ] by a 50 percent to 44 percent margin — nearing an all-time low in the poll. It’s almost the reverse of the 55 percent to 44 percent breakdown for Obama among female voters in 2012, according to exit polls…His approval rating among women has slipped four percentage points from a year ago and 16 points since his second inaugural in January 2013, when his approval was 60 percent among the group. Among younger voting-age Americans, Obama’s approval rating stood at 43 percent. That marked an 11-point drop since June among those 18 to 29 years old.”

LAWMAKER’S ISIS BUDGET BATTLE IS LATEST MIDTERM HURDLE
National Journal: “The White House has made known its preference for including the Syria authority language in the stopgap, must-pass spending bill to keep government funded beyond the Oct. 1 start of the new fiscal year. Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said Thursday, ‘I would hope it would be in the CR, because that's the train leaving the station, and the president’ needs this now. Splitting them ‘takes longer,’ she added. However, Pelosi also did not rule out that the authorization could come in ‘some independent vehicle.’ And Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has said he is prepared to offer it as a separate measure, although procedurally, doing so would be more complicated in the Senate.”

Dems divided - Politico: “Sen. Mark Begich (D-Alaska) said anything dealing with the ramped-up U.S. attacks on ISIL should be split off from the CR. But, he said, even then he wouldn’t support giving Obama the authority to arm the rebels…Asked multiple times if she would support aiding the Syrian rebels, Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-N.H.) said she would need more information before she could take a firm position. Sens. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) and Jeff Merkley (D-Ore.) declined to answer questions about Syria.”

Pictures worth many 1,000s of words!

 Too good to delete

Mexican Army Discovers First Coca Field

Mexican Army Finds First Coca Field

The plants were hidden among banana trees to avoid detection.

Mexican soldiers destroyed more than 1,000 coca plants after discovering the first coca plantation in Mexico, the army announced on Tuesday.

“It’s the first plantation of this type found in Mexico. As you know, the coca leaf usually grows in the Andean region, at about 3,900 ft. above sea level,” said Sergio Ernesto Martínez, commander of the 36th Military Zone based in Tapachula, Chiapas.

The coca plantation was found in the state of Chiapas, near the border with Guatemala.

The plants were planted among banana trees and other types of native flora, in order to prevent their detection from above.

Prior to the coca field finding, the Mexican army seized about 180 kilos of cocaine and six plants of coca in Tapachula, Chiapas.

The find raises questions about if local drug cartels are starting to expand their usual operations.

Although Mexican criminal organizations produce marijuana and synthetic drugs that they then sell in the United States and Europe, the cocaine that the local drug cartels trade is bought in South America.

Peru, along with Colombia, is the biggest cocaine producer, according to a 2012 United Nations (UN) study.

There are about 149,251 acres of coca fields in Peru, while Colombia has about 118,610, said the UN.

Coca however is used by many people in South America as a stimulant, and does not have the same properties as its processed form, cocaine.

Feds Discover 65M in LA Garment Business Raid, in Sinaloa/CT Money Laundering Scheme

In an intriguingly named investigation called Operation Fashion Police, scores of federal and local law enforcement agents early Wednesday swarmed dozens of residences and apparel businesses in Los Angeles to crack down on a long-running money laundering scheme benefiting two drug cartels in Mexico.

Early on Sept. 10, 1,000 agents from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and others raided at least 70 locations, including a location near 12th and San Pedro streets in the heart of the Los Angeles Fashion District. Law enforcement officials executed dozens of search warrants and authorities arrested nine defendants.

The money-laundering scheme involved money drops of millions of dollars in cash, often delivered in plastic-wrapped bundles. As much as $80,000 in cash was delivered in a dog-food bag, authorities said.

"The scope of this current case and its potential long-term impact are truly unprecedented," said Claude Arnold, special agent in charge of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Southern California.

During the raid, law enforcement officers found $35 million in cash stuffed in cardboard boxes at a condo. At a Bel-Air mansion, another $10 million in cash was founded stuffed in duffel bags and four safes are still to be opened. More than 30 bank accounts with approximately $19 million were seized.

Altogether, from the raids, officials seized at least $65 million in cash.

The search locations included 19 store fronts, six warehouses and numerous residences, authorities said. Several of the targeted warehouses encompass an entire city block and are filled with clothing. Authorities said they would be seizing the clothing in the warehouses, depending on the evidence uncovered during the ongoing searches. No brand names were mentioned in the indictments.

Three defendants associated with QT Fashion were arrested. QT Fashion did business under QT Maternity and Andres Fashion. The three QT Fashion people arrested were: Andrew Jong Hack Park, 56, also known as Andres Park of La Canada-Flintridge; Sang Jun Park, 36, of La Crescenta and Jose Isabel Gomez Arreoloa, 49, of Los Angeles.

Four people associated with Pacific Eurotex were arrested after an indictment alleged they received laundered money of at least $370,000 in bulk cash on four separate occasions. They were one of 160 Fashion District companies visited by Homeland Security Investigations agents in the past informing owners they were required to report cash transactions involving more than $10,000 in currency.

The four people from Pacific Eurotex who were arrested were Hersel Neman, 55, of Beverly Hills, Morad Neman, 54, of Westwood, Mehran Khalili, 45, of Beverly Hills, and Alma Villalobos, 52 of Arleta.

Two other people associated with Yili Underwear and Gayima Underwear were arrested. They were Xilin Chen and Chuang Chen of Temple City. A third member, Aixia Chen, is a fugitive currently being sought by authorities.
Kidnapped, held hostage and Tortured by Sinaloa Cartel
In another case unsealed Wednesday, authorities allege that the Sinaloa drug cartel used a fashion district business to accept and launder ransom payments to secure the release if a U. S. citizen kidnapped by the narcotics organization held hostage and tortured on a ranch in Mexico.

“The garment district has been known for years as a location where people have been dropping drug proceeds in cash to businesses to export clothes and then sell those goods in Mexico,” Arnold of ICE said.

Apparel imported into the United States with U.S. dollars provided by the cartels is sent to Mexico, where it is sold for pesos. Those pesos are then deposited in Mexican bank accounts, reportedly for the Sinaloa and Knights Templar drug cartels.

This elaborate kind of transaction has become increasingly popular since 2010 when Mexico changed its banking regulations stipulating that deposits in U.S. dollars for regular customers must be limited to no more than $7,000 in cash a month. The regulations were devised to stop drug cartels from shuffling their drug money into Mexican banks.

The investigation that prompted Wednesday’s raid began in May 2013. “We used confidential informants and other methods to identify money brokers who were dropping money for the drug cartels at businesses in the garment district. We then inserted undercover agents who took over the job of transporting the money and dropping it off at the garment companies on behalf of the money brokers,” Arnold said. “By doing that, we had an inside eye on what is happening.”

Federal officials said this was just the beginning of taking down a large network of criminals in the garment industry who have been helping the drug cartels.

“These investigations grow tentacles,” Arnold said. “We will identify the money brokers and get more evidence on them. The ultimate goal is the cartel members.”

The garment industry investigation is similar to a toy industry investigation that took place several years ago in Los Angeles and surrounding cities.

In 2010, the owners of Los Angeles–based Angel Toy Corp. were accused of receiving bags stuffed with alleged cocaine sales proceeds and laundering them into pesos. They pleaded guilty to charges of “structuring” and were sentenced to three years in prison.

In 2012, the owners of Woody Toys Inc. in the City of Industry, Calif., were accused of laundering as much as $6 million in drug money over seven years.

UPDATED POST "El Chuy" is reported being one of the 5 killed in Sinaloa plane crash

Posted: 10 Sep 2014 08:59 PM PDT

Chivis Martinez for Borderland Beat

Update:
RioDoce is reporting unofficially  4 of the 5 killed have been identified, but no mention of Gonzales.  and report that DNA testing to identify must take place for positive ID

Vertigo political reports they are identified as

- Bruno César Bojórquez - Arturo Lobo Morales - Edel Alberto Morales Ibarra- Julián González Vázquez - Ridoce says these bodies were claimed and the 5th has not been claimed, how bodies can be claimed without positive identification, I can't answer.

Other reports claim relatives identified the bodies, however if we believe reports of incineration,  that seems highly unlikely.  The deceased are at the Forensic Medical Service of Los Mochis, and reports still claim the Mexican navy is guarding the morgue.

The updated reports have only added to the confusion, and nothing is certain, but if the new reports are accurate as far as identification, it is more likely that Chuy is alive, and rather than lying in a casket, is somewhere enjoying a beer  and probably laughing at  the premature reports of his death.

According to unofficial information,  and reported by Linea Directa, one of the victims of the Tuesday plane crash, could be alleged drug trafficker Jesús González Peñuelas, alias “Chuy” González.

González is one of the leaders of the BLO cell in northern Sinaloa, known as the Mazatlecos, commanded by Fausto Isidro Meza Flores, alias “El Chapo Isidro”.

On Tuesday five people, all male, were killed when a fatal aircraft crash occurred in Batamote, Sinaloa.

The 11:50 crash burned for 20 minutes before being extinguished.  The aircraft landed in a corn field upside down.

The plane crash being connected to González, is based on reports that his relatives arrived at  the Los Mochis funeral home, where his body was being held, and the family claimed his remains.

The funeral home is being fully protected by elements of the Navy and State Ministerial Police.
Chuy Gonzalez headed Batamote Plaza and much of the northern part of the state with his brother"Nacho" Gonzalez, arrested in a clash with soldiers on December 12, 2013 in the ejido Batamote.
