And, even worse, he and his administration decided to stick it to the American people in order to blame the Republicans. Even to the extent of attacking fallen soldiers whose families were denied their death and funeral expenses. This man is no leader. In my mind, he is a corrupt and toxic socialist ideologue. Calling out President Barack Obama’s bullshit … The White House -- October 17, 2013 -- Remarks by the President on the Reopening of the Government -- State Dining Room And now that the government is reopened, and this threat to our economy is removed, all of us need to stop focusing on the lobbyists and the bloggers and the talking heads on radio and the professional activists who profit from conflict, and focus on what the majority of Americans sent us here to do, and that’s grow this economy; create good jobs; strengthen the middle class; educate our kids; lay the foundation for broad-based prosperity and get our fiscal house in order for the long haul.  That’s why we're here.  That should be our focus.   <Source: The White House>     What utter bullshit! 1. “And now that the government is reopened, and this threat to our economy is removed …”  Until the next time when deadlines are well-known by both parties well in advance and one party, namely the progressive socialist democrats, refuse to accept bill amendments and/or negotiate with the opposition. There are a number of significant deadlines looming in the near future, not to mention significant and controversial legislation over comprehensive immigration on the horizon. There is no credible belief that the progressive socialist democrats will act in a responsible way to strengthen our borders, insure that our existing laws are applied, that illegal aliens are forced to register without precondition as required by the law, enumerate the number of illegal aliens registering, assess the financial, political, social, and employment impacts – and then set about creating legislation. But that will never happen because it is in both party’s best interests to complicate the issue, engage in conflict that results in fundraising opportunities, and keep representing the special interests. 2.  “… need to stop focusing on the lobbyists and the bloggers and the talking heads on radio and the professional activists who profit from conflict …” Excuse me! President Obama has stood before the American public and lied. Claiming he would not hire lobbyists for his administration and then turned around and hired a boatload of special interest lobbyists. As for the bloggers and the talking heads, has Obama not seen any number of his acolytes writing blog entries or appearing with the so-called media “talking heads?” This is pure demagoguery. 3.   As for maintaining a “focus on what the majority of Americans sent us here to do, and that’s grow this economy; create good jobs …” Has this fool not noticed that Obamacare, the Environmental Protection Agency, and other Administration agencies have killed more jobs with their administrative rules and regulations than any other factor? 4.  “ … strengthen the middle class …” Unbelievable. The Obama Administration is destroying the middle class. Look at Obamacare. The premiums for a single individual may run between $4,000 – $6,000 with a deductible of $5000.00. How is this not destroying the middle class? Small business owners are being screwed royally – how is this not destroying the middle class? 5.  “… educate our kids …” How can any President or Administration look at the failure of union-dominated education with failing grades, dumbing down of test levels to hide the growing number of functional illiterates, and teaching community activism rather than reading, writing, and arithmetic and claim to be educating our kids? How does he explain minorities bullying minority students who dress conventionally, use proper English, and excel in their studies? 6. “… get our fiscal house in order for the long haul ...” This President has presided over spending that dwarfs all of the spending by all of the previous Presidents, from President George Washington to President George Bush, and claim he and his administration are attempting to get our fiscal house in order? The budget process is a joke as the real dollar spending goes up, up, and away. Bottom line … There is no polite way to say this. Our President is either a radical progressive socialist democrat or is being controlled by one. He is a stone-faced liar who reads words written by others off his TelePrompTer and calls that leadership. It is time to throw the progressive socialist democrats and their RINO republican counterparts out of office in 2014 or suffer the consequences of Obama’s radical transformation of our nation into another European socialist third-world nation. OBAMA'S UNSUITABLE CHOICE FOR THE HEAD OF HOMELAND SECURITY? Posted: 17 Oct 2013 03:34 PM PDT It appears that President Barack Obama has selected Jeh (Jay) Johnson as his nominee to replace the wildly inept and politically-corrupt Janet Napolitano at the Department of Homeland Security. Not that Johnson doesn’t have impeccable credentials as a LAWYER, but he appears to lack the leadership and subject matter credentials (intelligence, security, and administration) credentials to administer an overgrown, out-of-control bureaucratic nightmare; a dysfunctional agency that was created post-911 to insure that the various branches of federal intelligence agencies and law enforcement could adopt a coordinated response to terror threats, immigration, law enforcement, and natural disasters. This this the agency that illegally, unconstitutionally, and selectively enforced the immigration laws; in essence, officially aiding and abetting further breaches of our border and national sovereignty – as a matter of Administration policy. His credentials as a fundraiser and democrat party operative also call into question his loyalty: will he support, defend, and protect the Constitution of the United States and faithfully administer the duties of his office, or will he be another one of Barack Obama’s messengers – delivering more of Obama’s “transformational” policies that is dragging America towards international socialism? Jeh (jay) Johnson is stepping down at the end of December after four years that included a number of controversial legal issues including the escalation in the use of drone strikes, the revamping of the use of military commissions rather than civilian trials for terrorism war-era detainees, and the repeal of the Pentagon's ban on openly gay military service. Johnson left the New York City-based law firm of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison, LLP, to take the Pentagon job, and is expected to return there. Johnson, a well-known and trusted figure in the Obama White House, was acentral player in many of the administration's most sensitive national security and counterterrorism policies, including the ramping up of the drone program, the revival of military commissions to try suspected terrorists, and the repeal of the Defense Department's ban on gays serving openly in the armed forces.  Johnson's experience dealing with counterterrorism and cyber-security threats will comfort many on Capitol Hill. He is less versed in the areas of disaster relief and immigration enforcement, also key elements of the DHS mission. Still, administration officials do not expect the nomination to be especially polarizing and are hopeful Johnson will receive a relatively warm reception in Congress.   "The president is selecting Johnson because he is one of the most highly qualified and respected national security leaders, having served as the senior lawyer for the largest government agency in the world," a senior administration official told The Daily Beast on the condition of anonymity.  If confirmed, Johnson would be the fourth secretary of DHS, a department that was established in the wake of the September 11 attacks in one of the largest expansions of the federal government in recent times.   <Source > In my opinion, the Obama Administration is falsely and misleadingly portraying Johnson as a highly qualified and respected national security leaders. Which assumes “facts not in evidence.” Being a lawyer and serving real leaders does not make you a leader – anymore than the Vice President’s Assistant makes them suitable for becoming the Vice President. A functionary that serves the leadership does not assume the credentials of those he serves, because ultimately the greatest ability of a leader is decision-making, not analysis. Serving as a lawyer on any military or security mission is, in my opinion, not a leadership qualification as it is often the lawyers that screw up critical missions and disadvantage our fighting men and women with their political and nonsensical “rules of engagement.” Why any on-ground military commander needs to have his fire support mission vetted and approved by a frickin lawyer is beyond me. But that’s what happens in the military and the DHS. A question of loyalty … Johnson has earned Obama's personal and political loyalty. He was one of Obama's earliest supporters after the then-senator from Illinois decided to run for president. Johnson held fundraisers for him and trudged through the snows of Iowa and West Philadelphia knocking on doors for the candidate. A fundraiser at his suburban New Jersey home was highly valued by the Obama campaign since, at the time, Hillary Clinton and her family's machine dominated political fundraising in the New York area.  “…he could be relied on to advance the White House's legal agenda within DOD; he'd often refer to himself as "the president's man" at the Pentagon. He adeptly shepherded some of the most legally and politically fraught policy matters at DOD. Chief among them was the repeal of the military's ban on openly gay military service, known as ‘don't ask, don't tell.’" Best qualified or is “black, loyal, and malleable” the primary job qualification? His appointment to the top job at DHS comes as something of a surprise. He was not among the dozen or so names that quickly emerged as potential successors to Napolitano when she announced her decision to resign last July. As it turned out, many of those who were most prominently mentioned, including New York City Police Commissioner Ray Kelly, former U.S. Coast Guard Commandant Thad Allen, and John Pistole, head of the Transportation Security Administration, never even made the White House short list. None of them was interviewed for the job.  I don’t care about your skin color or politics as much as I do about your integrity, subject matter knowledge, and leadership abilities. It is time for COMPETENCE in an incompetent ideological, and highly-politicized environment.  Bottom line … Johnson, whatever his politics, is a lawyer, a naysayer, and one who parses words and finds interpretations to support his clients. In this case I wonder if his client is “We the People” or Valerie Jarrett and her production puppet, President Barack Hussein Obama? With Eric Holder as the Attorney General, it is unlikely that the Administration will be held accountable for their violation of Constitutional, criminal, or civil law. Thus making the appointment of a knowledgeable, competent, and patriotic individual to head the Department of Homeland Security an absolute priority. I fear for our America and fear those who are destroying it from within with their progressive socialist democrat agenda. I hope that the Senate – dominated as it is by progressive socialist democrats and RINOs (Republicans In Name Only) – will adequately vet and ultimately reject this nominee for someone that has the requisite leadership and subject matter skills to lead this out-of-control behemoth we call the Department of Homeland Security. -- steve
