SEAN HANNITY, GRETA VAN SUSTEREN DON'T MAKE MY TIVO CUT ... Posted: 20 Oct 2013 11:13 PM PDT With the re-jiggering of Fox Cable’s line-up, it appears that Sean Hannity and Greta Van Susteren are the big losers. I originally set my TiVo “Season Pass” list to record Bill O’Reilly, Sean Hannity, and Greta Van Susteren. On most evenings I would watch most of O’Reilly, sample Hannity, and then sample Van Susteren. When the new line-up was announced, I added Megyn Kelly into the Season Pass list. Now I find myself, for the most part, ignoring Van Susteren, watching O’Reilly, sampling Megyn Kelly, who is certainly more interesting than Sean Hannity, and ignoring Hannity with his in-studio guest panels and the smarmy Frank Luntz with his “dial” system. The Season Pass line-up now consists of Bill O’Reilly and Megyn Kelly. Between these two, I get a full-flavored view of the news that is fair and balanced. Who needs Van Susteren or Hannity? There are no compelling reasons to follow either one. Although the ratings seem to be holding and the Fox team is sweeping their timeslots – they are growing old and stale. Perhaps it is a function of the tedium induced by a dysfunctional government and dystopian America. I think the problem is that media is becoming nothing more than a re-tweet of Twitter’s stream of conscious crap. The fact that many programs are taking real-time questions from their online audience to generate ratings and improve engagement is annoying. Most people ask inane questions that are selected only because they feed into the program’s narrative. And, while I am complaining, I enjoyed News Watch more than the new Media Buzz with its line-up of the same Fox talking heads that appear on all the other Fox shows. I guess they saying “incest is best, or at least cheaper” is the cost containment goal. Tiring, sort of like Bill O’Reilly’s endless promotion of his own tschokes and books. Becoming burnt out on the television news media. -- steve |
Jeb Bush being positioned as a Republican leaders ... Posted: 20 Oct 2013 09:36 PM PDT After what members of their respective families have done to screw America and its citizens, we do not need any more Clintons, Bushs, or Kennedys.
Bottom line … Just remember the Bushs, Clintons, and Kennedys do not come alone … they bring with them a cadre of cronies, evildoers, and ideologues. And, if it wasn’t for Bush (43), we would not have had King Obama I. The mere fact that Jeb Bush is arguably brighter and more articulate than his brother, and the fact that he has an Hispanic wife, does not qualify him for a leadership position within the Republican Party or a shot at the Office of the Presidency. From what I can determine, Florida, on Bush’s watch, was a pretty screwed up place. Not to mention, Jeb Bush is a RINO – another liberal willing to compromise with the devil for his little place in history. -- steve |
OBAMA: WILL THE 12-BILLION DOLLAR PHONE CALL TO IRAN LEAD TO SIDE-STEPPING IRANIAN SANCTIONS? Posted: 20 Oct 2013 09:05 PM PDT Aiding and abetting an enemy of the United States and its ally Israel … While many people might argue that Iran is not a declared enemy of the United States and that no action against Iran has been taken by Congress, it is no secret that Iran participated in the manufacture and distribution of lethal IEDs (Improvised Explosive Devices) that killed and maimed a great number of American soldiers. Iran continues to fund known terrorist groups in the Middle East to destabilize the region and provide a serious threat to both America and Israel with their nuclear ambitions. The are directly complicit in killing Americans.
The Iranian insult that embarrassed President Obama, the most powerful leader in the world …
The face-saving phone call …
One of the many dirty little secrets being kept by President Obama and his cadre of progressive socialist democrats is appears to be how the face-saving call to Iran’s President was arranged. I suspect that the President, probably on the advice of someone like Valerie Jarrett, engineered this “semi-historic” call by agreeing to release blocked Iranian funds held in the United States. And, if true, might be considered by some, myself included, to be aiding and abetting a nation that sponsors international terrorism and is threatening the region with its nuclear ambition. Does it include side-stepping Congress and relaxing sanctions? Why would President Obama aid and abet Iran? Other than the fact that he is an egomaniac and needs a distraction from the scandals swirling around his Administration, other reasons come to mind. Namely, President Obama appears to be anti-Jew, or at least, anti-Israel in the model of his anti-America, anti-Jew, anti-White spiritual mentor, the Reverend Jeremiah Wright, and in accordance with the other neighborhood thought leaders, Nation of Islam Minister Louis Farrakahn, and the disgraced Catholic Priest, Father Phleger. Screwing Israel and side-stepping Congress once again …
The sanctions on Iran are formal U.S. public policy … legislation crafted by Congress and signed into law by the President of the United States …
It appears that, once again, President Obama is willing to side-step Congress and take it upon himself to “administratively,” using executive authority, to change the law as he as done on a number of occasions, most notably modifying Congressional legislation and a public law dealing with the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (Obamacare). This is a direct violation of the United States Constitution and a breach of the separation of the powers concept. And, if Congress had the will, an impeachable offense to be added to the other impeachable offenses Obama has allegedly committed. Bottom line … Perhaps the Iranians have psychoanalyzed President Obama and have come to the conclusion that he is willing to do almost anything for a victory in the Middle East to remove the stain of an undeserved Nobel Peace Prize awarded on the basis of no achievement. The Iranians are being incentivized to construct a Potemkin Village and engage in Kabuki Theatre in allowing a pre-staged inspection in return for a release of funds. Of course, nothing less that an unannounced inspection of any facility will be a bogus ploy – like the one perpetrated by North Korea – right up until they tested their nuclear bomb. But it is more than likely that President Obama want to allow Iran to go nuclear, to disadvantage Israel and to demonstrate that America is a paper tiger with her claws and fangs filed down. Not only is Barack Obama incapable of understanding history, he appears incapable of understanding the clear and present danger that faces America from foreign sovereign powers who sense weakness and step-up their incursions in the American sphere of influence. If Obama’s past actions are any indication, he really doesn’t care about anyone but himself and might be looking forward to be rewarded for screwing over America with another “historic” job as the first American Secretary General of the United Nations – where treasonous behavior is a great job recommendation. Congress has failed to stand up to Obama – including those RINOs who have aided and abetted his progressive socialist agenda. If nothing upsets the 2014 congressional election cycle, my only conclusion is that we have been hosed by foreign sovereign nations who have purchased political influence with corrupt politicians. Somewhat similar to the Chinese attempt to fund the Clinton I campaign and may be plotting a repeat in the Clinton II campaign. Wake up folks. Connect the dots. And, if you have an alternate theory, I am willing to listen. And, we should never forget that it was a progressive socialist democrat and now Attorney General Eric Holder and President Bill Clinton who pardoned the largest tax evader and a violator of Iran’s oil sanctions, Marc Rich. Ostensibly for a very large contributions to the democrat party by his wife Denise, who recently renounced her American citizenship. -- steve |
