This week we announced that GE Oil & Gas will be opening a new advanced manufacturing facility in Jacksonville. This project will create at least 500 new jobs over the next three years, which is great news for Jacksonville families.
Because we eliminated the sales tax on manufacturing equipment, more companies like GE Oil & Gas are choosing Florida to grow their businesses. Our business-friendly policies are working and more than 640,000 private-sector jobs have been created since December 2010. Let’s keep working to grow businesses in our state and create an opportunity economy for generations to come.
