Dear Supporter,

As Congress leaves for vacation (i.e. August recess) our nation continues to face fiscal ruin.  The national debt looms near $16 trillion. $500 billion in defense cuts await a "meat ax" that will cut hundreds of thousands of troops, without truly cutting the debt or fixing our spending problem.  On top of that, more than 12.7 million Americans are out of work, including 806,000 veterans.

Washington's answer? Take a vacation.

Join Concerned Veterans for America and tell the Senate to spend August working.  It's time to Defend and Reform our Defense Budget.  Visit our facebook and share our graphic with your friends, family and fellow warfighters.  Let's send a message and tell the Senate: end the BS, and call a vote!
