Can the government use civil forfeiture to take your money when you have done nothing wrong—and then pocket the proceeds?  The IRS thinks so. For over 30 years, Terry Dehko has successfully run a grocery store in Fraser, Mich., with his daughter Sandy.  In January 2013, without warning, the federal government used civil forfeiture to seize all of the money from the Dehkos’ store bank account (more than $35,000) even though they’ve done absolutely nothing wrong.  Their American Dream is now a nightmare. The ordinance, which becomes effective as of November 1, 2013, comes in time to eliminate the use of fireplaces during the impending winter season. The Mayor of West Hollywood, Abbe Land, indicated it was quite to the contrary — it is because of religion the ban was put in place. Mayor Land said the particulates released into the air from just one fireplace are as damaging as 40 tractor-trailer trucks to the environment. She said “We have allowed selfish people to destroy the air of our community for far too long. We see this as a beginning of a movement across America.” The news has electrified the environmental community. Former Vice-President Al Gore jumped in immediately to applaud the leaders of the city. Gore said “Fireplaces have been one the leading causes of harmful damage to our air for decades. It is exciting that the movement to kill off these mini-furnaces belching out carcinogens has finally begun in full-force.” The announcement of the ban coincided with a national meeting of the Union of Concerned Scientists. When the ban on fireplaces was announced from the podium, it was reported the scientists gave a rousing standing ovation and broke out in cheers for what they perceived as a major move in the advancement of limiting CO2 gases in the atmosphere. Elliott Negin, spokesperson for the Union, cheered the leaders of West Hollywood. He stated on behalf of the Scientists: “If leaders worldwide would just have half the strength of these fearless representatives of West Hollywood, Global Warming would be an issue of the past.”He also announced the establishment of an annual award named the West Hollywood Award to go to civic leaders who most advance the cause of anti-Global Warming. The prize was announced as an electric car to be used by the community. Given the profile and widespread use of many of our products, Adobe has attracted increasing attention from cyber attackers. Very recently, Adobe’s security team discovered sophisticated attacks on our network, involving the illegal access of customer information as well as source code for numerous Adobe products. We believe these attacks may be related. Our investigation currently indicates that the attackers accessed Adobe customer IDs and encrypted passwords on our systems. We also believe the attackers removed from our systems certain information relating to 2.9 million Adobe customers, including customer names, encrypted credit or debit card numbers, expiration dates, and other information relating to customer orders.At this time, we do not believe the attackers removed decrypted credit or debit card numbers from our systems. We deeply regret that this incident occurred. We’re working diligently internally, as well as with external partners and law enforcement, to address the incident. We’re taking the following steps: As a precaution, we are resetting relevant customer passwords to help prevent unauthorized access to Adobe ID accounts. If your user ID and password were involved, you will receive an email notification from us with information on how to change your password. We also recommend that you change your passwords on any website where you may have used the same user ID and password. We are in the process of notifying customers whose credit or debit card information we believe to be involved in the incident. If your information was involved, you will receive a notification letter from us with additional information on steps you can take to help protect yourself against potential misuse of personal information about you. Adobe is also offering customers, whose credit or debit card information was involved, the option of enrolling in a one-year complimentary credit monitoring membership where available. We have notified the banks processing customer payments for Adobe, so that they can work with the payment card companies and card-issuing banks to help protect customers’ accounts. 2013 DEMOCRAT SURVEY IS AN OUTLINE FOR DECIDING WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE CORRUPT POLITICIANS IN WASHINGTON Posted: 03 Oct 2013 12:06 AM PDT Once again the progressive socialist democrat party has tried to engage me with one of their thinly disguised fundraising surveys where they pretend to solicit my viewpoint as well as my money … This is what is known as a biased push-poll where the conclusions are designed to make you think less of the opposition, no matter how you rank the individual question elements. Which provides me with an outline for deciding what is wrong with the corrupt self-serving politicians on both sides of the aisle. SECTION II: REPUBLICANS 1. How do you rate the Republican Party's performance in handling the nation's fiscal crisis? When they were in power, the republicans performed poorly. Crony capitalism, incompetent appointees based on donations or friendship with the Bush family, and regulatory agencies that were too stupid, corrupt, or overworked to combat the rampant and blatant fraud occurring under their noses. Even with a written complaint from a credible financial expert, the SEC couldn’t get Madoff for years.    2. Do you believe the Republican majority in the House of Representatives will continue their attempts to obstruct President Obama's agenda? This is a bogus question because the only obstruction in Washington is coming from the democrats where they either refuse to accept amendments to their bills or refuse to compromise; mostly believing they can blame the republicans as they blamed former President Bush for all of their failures during Obama’s first term. Which is not to say that obstruction is all bad as it slows down the progressive socialist democrat agenda whereas compromise only means that the progressive socialist democrats could accomplish their goals – just more slowly than they anticipated.  3. Do you believe the Republican leadership in the House will try to work with Democrats for the common good? This is a trick question because it assumes that the democrats are working for the common good of the American people; which assumes facts not in evidence. Whether it is the progressive socialist democrat’s domestic policy or their foreign policy, one can see little or no meaningful accomplishments and a plethora of lies, misdirection, deception.  4. Do you believe the Republicans will force a government shutdown instead of working with President Obama on the national debt crisis? This survey was printed before the government shutdown. The shutdown is little more than a politicial stunt and power play by the democrats. The republicans in the House offered to fund the majority of the government’s activities, but President Obama and Harry Reid demanded unconditional funding with no compromise or modifications. In essence, the government shutdown was caused by the democrat’s refusal to negotiate.  5. Do you believe that it will be necessary to put a Democratic majority back into the House of Representatives to achieve all of President Obama's agenda of change?  We have seen what the democrats do when they control the House, Senate, and the Presidency as they did early in Obama’s first term. They rammed an unconstitutional, fatally-flawed, and impossible to implement Obamacare down the public’s throat. With no republicans assisting in its drafting, no republican amendments, and no republicans voting for the bill. In fact, the bill was passed using legislative trickery and the House never voted on the Senate’s version of the bill. In addition to this abomination, or should I say Obamination, we saw a stimulus package that did not stimulate the economy, but shored up union employment in the public sector as well as limited private sector projects which we found we not quite “shovel ready” as Obama promised. Hell, no a democratic majority is not needed in the House. SECTION III: PRESIDENT OBAMA'S PERFORMANCE  1. How do you rate President Obama's performance in handling the nation's fiscal crisis? We have seen the Obama Administration continue to make America dependent more on foreign oil, while impairing America’s ability to use our great supply of domestic energy. And, we all saw how bankrupt those green energy companies were after they received millions in “special” loans that saw the private investors – many Obama’s buddies – be paid back before the taxpayer received a single dime. 5. How do you rate the President's performance concerning foreign policy? President Obama and his cadre of progressive socialist democrats are proven liars and have made a mess of our foreign policy. These are the people who lied to the American public about gunrunning to Muslim terrorists and who knows how much they gave Iran’s President to take a “historic” phone call from Obama. These people cannot be trusted to defend and protect America and American citizens. 6. How do you rate the President's efforts to finding a solution to gun violence? The President is full of shit when he claims that gun violence requires modifying the Second Amendment to disarm law-abiding American citizens and thus creating a larger pool of victims unable to protect themselves from criminals, crazies, and violent street gangs. All because the President lacks the balls to declare that the majority of gun-related violence can be attributed to minority gangs and young minorities who have bought in to the profitably gangsta’ persona pushed by his liberal Hollywood buddies – in essence weakening America and promoting declining personal responsibility. No matter how many times the progressive socialist democrats deny the truth – it is the person holding the weapon that makes the choice to kill another human being. 7. How do you rate President Obama's overall performance? President Obama is the worst President in the history of the United States, including the father of Islamo-fascism, Jimmy Carter, and rapist Bill Clinton, the President who declared his own war on women. SECTION IV: NATIONAL PRIORITIES Creating jobs Reducing the deficit Protecting Social Security Protecting Medicare Dealing with Iran Winding Down the War in Afghanistan Implementing Health Care Reform Stopping Gun Violence My list … Defunding Obamacare which will create jobs and restore the 40-hour workweek. Rolling back taxes which will create jobs. Rolling back government regulation which will create jobs and improve profits. Rolling back government spending and downsizing the government. Removing public sector unions from government. Removing corrupt or incompetent government workers. Recognizing our friends and allies and treating our enemies like enemies. Insuring there will never be a nuclear Iran while presiding over the collapse of North Korea. Dealing with an imploding Mexico and stopping illegal immigration. Resigning from office which would give the nation new hope and change. And everything else will take care of itself. SECTION V: DEMOCRATIC PARTY PRIORITIES Nuclear Non-Proliferation – this is a joke as long as Obama wants to disarm and weaken America while allowing America’s enemies to gather strength. Ensuring Equal Pay for Equal Work – this is a political charade best resolved in the marketplace. Improving Education – we have seen what has happened to education and the crippling of yet another generation to the point of producing functional illiterates who pass dumbed-down tests (and the teachers still are required to cheat to show results.) Energy Independence – the democrats, as well as the republicans, have promised this for years and yet we are more dependent on foreign energy than ever before. Can you say corruption on both sides of the aisle? Combatting Terrorism – Another excuse for enlarging government and trampling on the United States Constitution as America continues to create self-serving false flag operations. America's Standing in the World Community – Our enemies (as well as our friends) only respect strength and the will to use it. Obama is afraid of his shadow and prefers to “lead from behind” lest his ignorance and incompetence is displayed for all the world to see. Oh, Obama and his faux Nobel Peace Prize is already cause for laughter as our enemies openly engage in aggression that would be unthinkable under a President Reagan or Bush. Dealing with North Korea – The mere fact that Dennis Rodman can get permission to visit North Korea speaks volumes. Implementing Common Sense – This is a effin’ joke. Common Sense cannot be legislated, especially in an atmosphere of self-serving corruption. Immigration Reform – The progressive socialist democrats and the republicans are both willing to waive our sovereignty and permit a hoard of locusts to devour our financial, legal, medical, and social infrastructure for temporary political gain. History has shown that these people do not assimilate, but form ethnic enclaves from which they project self-serving political power that benefits their foreign allegiance. Please rank the following 5 political goals for the Democratic Party by their level of priority. Combating Republican obstructionism in the House of Representatives Protecting progress achieved in the first term of the Obama Administration Winning Democratic victories on the state level Retaking the House of Representatives in 2014 Electing a new Democratic President in 2016  Truth be told, all of these priorities represent a clear and present danger to the safety, security, and economic wellbeing of America.  Bottom line … We can no longer tolerate the progressive socialist democrats who make dissenters into racists and those who call out their corruption, incompetency, and outright malevolent political agenda as bigots. Time to clean house in the 2014 congressional election cycle and 2016 presidential election cycle, completing the task in 2018 when the rest of the corrupt, self-serving Senators can be thrown out on their collective asses.
