Camille Bomboy was hunting for deer on her farm property when she was mauled by a bear who was concerned for the 18-year-old hunter’s proximity to her cub.
Miss Bomboy was lucky, though, as she only received gashes to her arms and is still in possession of her head.
Naturally, the leftists at People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) have reprimanded the young woman in a letter.
“Dear Ms. Bomboy,” it begins, “….This seems to be a good opportunity to put yourself in the place of the individuals you and the rest of your hunting party were trying to kill.”
The “individuals” in question were deer, mind you. Leftists value the life of animals over the life of humans. A deer is an individual whom you mustn’t “murder,” and a pre-born baby is a gob of goop whose life-supporting beating heart is yours to “terminate” at will.
“As terrifying as it must have been to be attacked by a bear,” the PETA letter continues, “please consider the frightening and painful experiences that hunters set out to impose upon animals.”
The goal of hunters isn’t to impose “frightening and painful experiences” upon animals, but to avoid frightening and cause pain to them lest they dash away and escape being food. PETA apparently missed the elementary-school lessons on the food chain.
The letter has more to say, including that “it would be a blessing if you were to abandon hunting and decide to live and let live.”
Tell that to the bear.
Liberals have never really been fans of humans, though. What they disguise as compassion for mankind in the redistribution of earnings is actually an effort to feel good about themselves. This can easily be determined by the fact that they want to help others with other people’s money. They get to feel good about their charitableness while avoiding the usual consequences of having a lighter wallet.
And do I have to bring up the 50 million American deaths over the last 40 years, dismissed nonchalantly with a single syllable: “choice”?
There’s also the Arapahoe High School shooter of Colorado, a leftist (though this isn’t necessary to state, as all school shooters have been leftists) who wrote on his Facebook page without trace of irony that the Republican Party’s position on war is “Let ‘em Die.”
Let’s see: World War I, Woodrow Wilson, Democrat; World War II, Franklin Roosevelt, Democrat; Korea, Harry Truman, Democrat; Vietnam, John Kennedy, Democrat; the Balkan wars, Bill Clinton, Democrat. Liberals’ one modern example of a warrior Republican is George W. Bush, whose Middle East wars were expanded by Barack Obama before the latter adhered to the withdrawal timeline set by the former (the credit for which Obama was happy to claim). Oh, the Civil War was started by a Republican as well, but I don’t think liberals really want to talk about that.
Maybe PETA sees the bear that attacked Camille as a representation of Communist Russia and they’re just doing their duty defending their liberal comrades
