AGAIN, IT'S NOT GUN CONTROL, IT'S CRAZY CONTROL .... Posted: 17 Sep 2013 08:41 PM PDT Once again, the radical progressive socialist democrats like the dishonest Diane Feinstein are jumping up-and-down calling for disarming all law-abiding citizens in the wake of another shooting rampage by a crazy person. Rather than admit that these things will happen time-to-time in any population of hundreds of millions, the radicals want to propose a draconian solution that creates an even larger pool of victims. Think about it, what happens if the citizen population is disarmed and a crazy military person grabs a handful of grenades or an automatic weapon and goes on a rampage … who will they blame then? The crazy or the system that did not detect and deter the crazy? It is about time that America wakes up. There is evil and craziness in the world and nobody, especially not a corrupt and incompetent government, can protect each and every citizen. It is also about time to demand that the progressive mainstream media restrain themselves from the 24/7 wall-to-wall, minute-by-minute coverage of emerging events. Especially those which lead to false assumptions and conclusions. It is the media that amplifies these local events into “national tragedies” to be exploited for political purpose. Enough.  According to the Associated Press … Officials: Gunman treated for mental health issues U.S. law enforcement officials are telling The Associated Press that the Navy contractor identified as the gunman in the mass shootings at the Washington Navy Yard had been suffering a host of serious mental issues, including paranoia and a sleep disorder. He also had been hearing voices in his head, the officials said. Aaron Alexis, 34, had been treated since August by the Veterans Administration for his mental problems, the officials said. They spoke on condition of anonymity because the criminal investigation in the case was continuing. The Navy had not declared him mentally unfit, which would have rescinded a security clearance that Alexis had from his earlier time in the Navy Reserves. Family members told investigators that Alexis was being treated for his mental issues. Source: News from The Associated Press Bottom line … While you cannot control what crazy people do, you can restrict them from purchasing weapons. So why is the gun control crowd not calling for an FBI database of psychologically-impaired people who are on psychotropic medicines? Why is the gun control crowd not calling for an FBI database of everyone arrested for domestic violence or alcohol- and drug-related misbehavior? Where is the database of criminals and others who should be denied weapons? Where is the database of original weapons charges – not the the charges that were reduced in a plea bargain? And, where is the database of disturbed veterans? Even if you register handguns or any other weapons, what does that mean if there is no database of people ineligible to own weapons.  Oh silly me! They don’t want to keep the guns out of the hands of those who shouldn’t own them, they want the guns out of the hands of everybody – especially those who might object forcibly when confronted with government tyranny. Why the progressive socialist democrat mainstream media loves Meghan McCain Posted: 17 Sep 2013 08:00 PM PDT Listening to Meghan McCain makes it readily apparent that she is a member of the lucky sperm club … a position of privilege and perks based upon nothing other than her father is Senator John McCain, former “war hero” who managed to spin his grueling experience in Viet Nam into a position as a political powerhouse. Even though he was a self-professed enemy collaborator and possibly psychologically unfit to hold a political office. So why does the progressive socialist democrat mainstream media love Meghan McCain? She is a member of the lucky sperm club and her father is more progressive democrat than he is a Republican. If you doubt the aisle-hopping proclivities of McCain the elder, witness McCain-Feingold (campaign finance reform), McCain-Kennedy (amnesty for illegal aliens), and McCain-Lieberman (global warming). She is blond (faux) and not too unattractive – perfect for the low-information voters who watch television. She is republican and routinely proves that she walks in her father’s progressive socialist democrat footsteps. She is none too bright and is prone to sound a little like Joe Biden on a bad hair day. And, there are some in the progressive socialist media who are not too pleased when she doesn’t get the story exactly right  …  Why Meghan McCain Is the Worst -- John McCain's daughter knows little about history or politics -- but keeps getting platforms to spout her ignorance. The series, which debuted on the new network Pivot TV Saturday, is a combination talk show and unscripted series — half “The View,” half “Sarah Palin’s Alaska.” It follows the exploits of one Meghan McCain, the daughter of the current U.S. senator from Arizona and one-time presidential nominee John McCain; she alternates between interviewing her guest and showing a slice of what it is like to be the daughter of a U.S. senator who lost the presidency in a landslide. She has been given 30 minutes a week on an aspirant cable network to prove that she has nothing to say. Meghan McCain is the epitome of what it is to be not a millennial — a group of individuals of multifarious racial and class backgrounds — but the media perception of a millennial. The media wished that millennials, as a group, could be self-absorbed, entitled and unimaginative; Meghan McCain rose to the challenge. Prior to the release of her current series, Meghan McCain was a columnist for the Daily Beast; her columns for the site, for which her last piece ran shortly after the last presidential election, included such pieces as “Yes, I Wear Fake Hair” and “The GOP’s House Hottie.”She interviewedSnooki, too! Following in the steps of another progressive socialist democrat … On its face, nepotism is not worth crying over; it’s the unfortunate way of the world. Most Arkansas schoolchildren don’t end up profiled in Vogue and helping to run global foundations, and yet Chelsea Clinton seems a serious-minded person. Good for her! (Other such cases of nepotism are much more frustrating — but at least, unlike McCain, Luke Russerthas stuck with his position as an MSNBC on-air personality!) And yet McCain’s apparent belief that she deserves a seat at the table — that her thoughts, such as they are, ought to drive the national conversation — shocks the conscience. It is the hauteur that only a millennial could possibly possess. I recognize that this reads as harsh. But the second episode of “Raising McCain,” which I have seen, features a lengthy discussion of feminism, which McCain dismisses as irrelevant to the women of today. The episode, already savaged by the New Yorker, features McCain arguing that feminism out-of-hand is irrelevant to the women of today. If you want to be sexy and fun, McCain alleges, feminism is an outmoded model. “Who doesn’t like getting attention from the opposite sex?” she asks. But then only to point out how stupid republicans and their spawn might be. It is time that the republican party disinvited unwelcome guests – like progressive socialist democrats – and quit diluting whatever branding they might have left. I wish the Meghan McCain would start learning about conservatism and possibly start behaving like a republican instead of the ill-informed RINO (Republican In Name Only) she appears to be. At the present time, her primary asset is that she is more telegenic than Chelsea Clinton – but given Chelsea’s accomplishments, way behind the game. -- steve
