Wisconsin: Increased Hunter Opportunity Bill Overwhelmingly Passes State Senate, Heads to State Assembly for a Concurrence Vote

Today, on a voice vote, the Wisconsin Senate approved an amended version of Assembly Bill 194, legislation that would allow hunters to use a crossbow during the big game archery season.  While this measure already passed the Assembly in June, it must return to the Assembly for a concurrence vote because of some changes the Senate made to the bill.

Anti-gun narrative blows up in face of CNN, Daily News

Tuesday's New York Daily News cover story is nothing more than a long-form editorial that attempts to make the AR-15 (a semiautomatic sport rifle) the bad guy in Monday's horrific Navy Yard shooting. Last night, CNN attempted to do the same through blowhard Piers Morgan. But there is just one problem: CNN and The Daily News are 100% wrong. The FBI has just confirmed that a shotgun and two pistols were recovered, and that the "gunman was NOT armed with [an] AR-15."

Gun control’s dead end

Now that the terrifying confusion has abated and the wildly varying reports have been collated into some sort of consensus, we are able to review what happened yesterday at Washington, D.C.’s Navy Yard with a dispassionate and critical eye. Doing so reveals that it is once again time for the friends of liberty to be blunt and to be forceful in the face of what will inevitably come. So resolved, let us lay down this marker: Those claiming that yesterday’s abomination demonstrates the need for stricter gun control are either lying or they are ignorant, and, either way, they should be ashamed of themselves. It does no such thing.

Judicial Watch, a legal watchdog group based in Washington D.C., has sued the Department of Justice over continuing Fast and Furious stonewalling and documents surrounding Attorney General Eric Holder's contempt citation. A Freedom of Information [FOIA] request submitted in March 2013 has gone unanswered.
